At the Sunrise Café...

IMG_9290X

... you can talk about anything you want... except the SOTU address. Please go down to the previous post if you want to talk about that. This place needs to be a refuge from that.

The photograph was taken at 6:40 — 13 minutes after the view of the sunrise posted earlier today, here. It was a lovely day today — sunny and muddy with cracking ice.

The George Tenet call today: he says Poland is part of the Putin play but a separate act from Ukraine.

It’ll be full of what’s left of the Ukrainians anyways…

Camping in Salt Springs, Florida. Snorkeling with a pod of 40 or so manatees just outside the spring in gin clear water. Typical north Florida weather this time of year 45* in the morning and 80* by afternoon. The spring water is a constant 70-72* year round. Campfire, guitar, and good conversation. Sleeping in the big Ford Transit 250 van under three quilts. These are the nice months in north Florida. Pretty soon it becomes the front porch of hell.

Looks like Russian oil is getting held up despite Biden's efforts to keep it flowing. Buyers are afraid sanctions might apply in some way to their purchase so they avoid the purchase. In a few weeks there will be huge oil shortage. Masking out, rationing in.

Good any refinery company buying it and the gas stations it is sold to should be outed.

I've read that Visa and Mastercard have suspended all Russian accounts. No one in Russia can use the cards.

Meanwhile, Russian lawmakers of Gagarinsky municipal district in Moscow called Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “a disaster."
“This is a path to the degradation and impoverishment of the country. No other actions could cause more damage to the Russian economy,” reads the appeal.

80,000 Ukrainians, mostly men, have returned to their homeland during the 5 days since the beginning of Russian invasion. At the same time, when Russian soldiers get captured, many of them by just quitting, Ukraine gives them a phone to call home to let family know they are all right. Here is what one captured RU soldier was overheard to say in his call: “Mom, they (RU commanders) leave the dead on the field. And they finished off all the wounded in my unit. All got killed…”.

"Every square of today, no matter what it's called, is going to be called Freedom Square, in every city of our country. Nobody is gonna break us." -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

But for now I wanna stress: all projects of Russian "industrialisation" and so on are BS. Economists who write all of this presume that Russia's still run by ideologues, religious fanatics like in the 1930s. But it's not. State security are more like mafia than like Bolsheviks

Some earlier odiously smeared the Ukrainians as Nazis.

Well, today Russia bombs seriously damaged the Babyn Yar Memorial in Kyiv, the site of one of the largest mass shootings during the Holocaust, where 30,000 Jews were murdered by the Germans.

32 trimesters after the violent Western-backed coup, a "Slavic Spring" a la diverse "Arab Springs" of widespread abortion, rape, violence, and democracy dies in darkness. The Ukranians have the audacity of expecting reconciliation and remediation, and have requested Russian peacekeepers to stand in the woke of a vacuum left by Obama, Biden, McCain et al's new deal.

Yes, the masks are off, and the agitators from Obama's "Slavic Spring" are exposed to scrutiny. Violence, but not quite a wicked solution (e.g. planned parent/hood), but rather a not so novel solution in the Maoist, Stalinist model. A Slavic Spring in the Arab Spring mode of violent Western-backed coups without borders, including the Libyan affair for oil and terrorists that was prosecuted through abortion, rape, and sodomy, inclusive of Americans left behind a la Biden's Afghanistan premature evacuation modeled on Obama's black hole (black whore? h/t NAACP) in Iraq and segue to transcontinental ("world") war, the second Iraq War after the Bush, Clinton war ended with Bush.

Nobody... Well, almost nobody, wants a war and the inevitable abortion fields. Even Putin waited 32 trimesters for reconciliation and remediation following the 2014 violent Western-backed coup ("Slavic Spring"). An effort that has offered no positive returns to the Ukrainian people, but has greatly enriched foreign and domestic interests, notably the special interests from 2014.

Crude oil prices are determined by global supply and demand - not Joe Biden. Economic growth is one of the biggest factors affecting petroleum product—and therefore crude oil—demand. Growing economies increase demand for energy in general and especially for transporting goods and materials from producers to consumers.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) can have a significant influence on oil prices by setting production targets for its members. OPEC includes countries with some of the world's largest oil reserves, which includes Russia but not the U.S. But if we import OPEC oil, all transactions for oil prices will be affected by the cartel's manipulations.

North America owns the largest oil reserves and we are the largest user, so all we have to do is restrict crude oil purchases to domestic, Canadian and Mexican sources and tell OPEC to fuck off. The answer is easy and that change does not require Joe Biden's permission. We can do so inside the USMCA with sweeter transportation costs and lower pumping costs from fracked wells. Gasoline prices will go down and there is no cause for a shortage since we have wells not pumping at full capacity.

Russia war fighting doctrine quite different than Pentagon's : fewer men bigger BOOM

Russia’s military is instead built around ground-based heavy artillery. Much of the Russian force now invading Ukraine consists of “Battalion Tactical Groups” (BTGs). These formations of less than 1,000 men operate as much artillery as a U.S. armored brigade—a formation of about 4,500 troops—as well as air-defense, anti-tank, and multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) batteries. Russia’s Soviet-era artillery has been modernized and much of it is brand new. In addition to large quantities of self-propelled artillery, many of Russia’s active artillery systems substantially outgun and outrange their Western equivalents, partially thanks to a domestic defense industry that specializes in this niche.

Not exactly. OPEC doesn't include either Russia or Mexico:

Kind of interesting on Bloomberg where a US energy executive said that they needed "political cover" from Biden to pump more oil; the Democrats have them intimidated to the point where they are creating an energy crisis.

I see where Wisconsin taxpayers continue to be whacked by Republicans who dream up conspiracies about Trump losing the election. Immediately after the November 2020 election, Trump and the RNC agreed to pay $3 million to finance a recount of Dane and Milwaukee counties and then refused to pay. Now Trump's buddy, ethically-challenged Judge Michael Gableman produces a large volume chock full of many already disposed of conspiracy charges such as Zuckerman brides dispersed to Dem voters in five counties; making multiple broad, conspiratorial unprovable accusations of lawbreaking, obstruction and subterfuge by Meagan Wolfe, a Democrat, who is the WEA administrator; as well as dumb charges against onetime employees of Barack Obama and George Soros. And then there is all of those lawbreakers among state Democratic officials like Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul, and several other organizations and individuals throughout the 2020 election and his investigation. Another $680,000 goes down the tubes just to regurgitate the Trump Big Lie on the way to attempt an overturning of an already certified election count. January 6 without the violence. Reactionary populism strikes again and again once more after 16 months - elections are good and fair as long as you win.

Sen. Joe Manchin III crossed the aisle during Tuesday’s State of the Union address. Mr. Manchin, a moderate West Virginia Democrat, opted to sit on the side of the House chamber traditionally reserved for Republicans rather than with members of his party. Mr. Manchin was seen sitting next to GOP Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah and Roger Wicker of Mississippi. He was the only Senate Democrat to sit with Republicans. Seating in the chamber was limited because of ongoing coronavirus restrictions. Mr. Manchin’s office did not... yada yada yada

Canada brought home the truth. Govt can and will separate you from your money. Just like they can refuse you the ability to fly, for no reason. Freezing your access to money is just as easy.
Ive always had ~$5,000 cash. Call me paranoid, but we have had two local disasters. Tornado, in 2018, and Derecho wind in 2020. With cash I could buy parts, tools, food and service. $500 cash gets me an electrician quick.
But now the govt has showed its hole card. You don't have any money. You have numbers on a screen, but that is all you have, and a number on a screen buys nothing.
I'll work to get cash to ~$10k

Mark Zuckerbot bribed election officials all around the country with $420M. He can spin it as "election assistance" or whatever he want to call it, the money he spent is still a bribe. In Green Bay, the mayor took the money and overrode the election supervisor to do things Mark's way. I look forward to seeing the Zuckerbot wearing an orange jumpsuit.

Wisconsin conducted an illegal election. The Wisconsin Election Commission didn't follow the law for nursing-home balloting. Prosecutions are required to ensure future elections are fair.

Decertifying the election won't get Joe "two-scoop" Biden out of office. That's going to require either an impeachment or an 25th Amendment removal.
