I have a problem at times with recalling specific names. When it occurs, it is actually harder to come up with the name the more I try to do so. At the same time, I can explain all sorts of attributes of the item I'm trying to recall. I wonder if he has the same issue and has turned it into a signature characteristic.
The video was difficult to watch. I find the Goldblum persona to be overdone and watching others impersonate something that is already too much for me is worse. However, kudos to him for now making money, even acting in movies (ex. Thor Ragnarok), by just being Jeff Goldblum. Seems Ryan Reynolds has decided to make money that way too.
“I enjoy watching him in movies, but he never 'disappears' in his roles...he's aways himself...”
Yes - but we really did enjoy him in Law And Order: Criminal Intent. Not quite as good as Vincent D'Onofrio, but more cerebral. But far better than Chris Noth, who just played his usual thuggish part. Goldblum played the rebellious son of a prominent NYC psychiatrist, brought up playing mind games, well, using those skills to solve prominent murder cases. D'Onofrio Would sometimes strategically use his size to intimidate suspects, while Goldblum just out thought them. Most of his signature movements were toned down, but we did see his agile mind.
Kind of meta. He imitates people doing imitations of himself. I wonder if comedians will do imitations of Jeff Goldblum doing imitations of comedians doing imitations of Goldblum and whether Goldblum will respond in kind. Infinite regression.....I like Jeff Golblum. I wonder if you have to be really smart to act the part of someone really smart. You have to be really good looking to play the part of someone really good looking, but you don't have to be particularly kind or brave to play such a part. My guess is that Goldblum's really smart, but maybe he's just a good actor.

I have lived in the same neighborhood my whole life.
The other day, I was at the neighborhood Safeway, and saw a fellow I've known since childhood. My memory immediately flashed to Boy Scouts, football, girls, beer, and all those other fun things we did together.
Today, he just lives down the street from me. I frequently drive by his house, and think.....Dave lives there.
At the Safeway, it took me 30 seconds to remember his name.
"...with lush and incoherent movements, disturbing to many..."
He's a pretty funny dude. And seems to be able to laugh at himself, which so many out there cannot. Maybe it's his sense of humor that has allowed him to attract so many beautiful women. That or something more basic. He does have large feet. But I digress. When you read stories about him, he sounds so quirky, fun, and a bit bizarre, but in a polished, friendly way.
I wish that they had put more impressions of Jeff in that video, but it was very fun to watch. Also, Jeff took it in very good spirits; unlike Shatner who really seemed annoyed by some of the impressions of him.

I've been watching Criminal Intent episodes as comfort food, and Goldblum's acting there is as good as anything he's ever done. A bit toned down--someone must have told him not to turn the Goldblum meter up to 11.
He is so visually distinct that he almost doesn't need the verbal idiocincrasies. His lurking around in the background in Nashville gives me the heebies.

William Shatner gives everybody an F.
Nice use of "interstitial." I hope I spelled that right.
He’s one of the few gifts Hollywood has left to give, though he’s looking a little to bubbe here…
This comment risks being shunned and deleted but his Disney show has an episode on tattoos where he meets many fans with Jeff Goldblum tattoos.
None of them are ignorant…
I was never a Jeff Goldblum fan. He just seemed so glib.
He seems like a good sport, and obviously a very smart guy.
I enjoy watching him in movies, but he never 'disappears' in his roles...he's aways himself...
…and Temple Grandin wants her shirt back…
Lesson: nobody is good a Goldblum impersonations. I'd have thought this would be an easier one.
Hollywood Actors are 'legendary'....
What a joke.

Kyle Dunnigan does an impressive Jeff Goldblum among many others.

I wish people would drop this “legendary” nonsense.

Now I want to see Michael Caine doing a Goldblum impersonation. Or vice versa.

My favorite visual of him is as that dude ranch cowboy in Buckaroo Banzai.

I always thought Jeff goldblum was a walking affectation. The most impressive thing he ever did in my opinion was hook up with Geena Davis.
To be "legendary" there should be legends about you, like Errol Flynn.

Duchovny was a better Goldblum than Goldblum.
Goldblum was too much Goldblum to watch much farther than that.
