A horror show of an idea for this blog, but it could be easily done, following my usual approach to blogging, because there are so many articles jamming up mainstream media this week.
UPDATE at 12:29 p.m.: You can see that I didn't do it, but let me preserve the voting results. Thanks to the 23% who showed confidence in my ability to pull it off. My own opinion is the second option.January 2, 2022

Just say no.
One thing Twitter does well is track the media coordination. There’s people counting and recording the agitprop that uses the exact same verbiage.
It is a good exercise to know which prop outlets are closely connected. Oftentimes the white house and the congress creeps join in, not bothering to disguise it.
You're only going to blog what interests you, and rightly so.
Just treat it like anything else in the news, and give it the attention it deserves.
how about a week; on the Constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial? and/or Habeas Corpus?
I so wish there could be an objective accounting of that day. Unfortunately, that won't be coming from the Congressional Committee examining it or the mainstream media. All the video footage from every angle and nook and cranny should be made available to the public. Let us, at least, see as much as possible for ourselves. I don't want my understanding of things to be over influenced by preset narratives and political biases.
I, for one, thought it would be cool. I’m not an all or nothing gal- so not every post. Two posts/day: one from each “side”- exploring evidence tangible or imagined, would be adequate. IMhumbleO.
It’s a big f/king deal…
If you're asking, I'd say no. I doubt you could do a good job. No disrespect intended, but you don't source well from right-leaning sources. Though the comments might take care of that.
Personally, I know very little of the details; I've avoided the topic because of the sourcing problem.
There is very little worth saying that hadn’t been said. I doubt Jan 6 could support a day, let alone a week.
I think it's a funtestical idear. Nothing triggers your loyal deplorables like the heroic actions of the Antifa FBI false flag psyops operation orchestrated by Hunter Biden and implemented by a great cabal of leftist conspirators.
The naive American Patriots languishing in jail being treated like common criminals of color is a national tragedy. The very thought that chubby middle class Jim Gaffigan impersonators are subject to the normal war on crime law and order three strikes meat grinder normally reserved for black youths not already murdered by police is a direct assault on our precious White Privilege.
Let the whinging begin.
I think you should do it. You pointed out the exaggerations from leftist media, in your post about the NYT article. There are of course other adjacent issues, such as the treatment of January Sixth offenders regarding lack of bail, lack of "speedy trial", and poor conditions in the DC jail.
I have never defended the actions of the protesters on that day but I still think the reaction from law enforcement and government has been way out of proportion to what actually happened. The only person killed directly by violence on that day was Ashli Babbitt, who was shot dead by a Capitol Police Officer. Some sources continue to insist that Brian Sicknick's death was due to the Capitol riot, but this is extremely questionable.
If anyone can take a balanced approach to this, it would be you. Although your conservative commenters would probably object to some of your takes, an outcry from the left would be even more likely. If you can withstand that, I say go for it. A secondary issue worth exploring is the involvement of federal agents or their accomplices in inciting the rioters' actions. This aspect of the story has been completely smothered by the MSM.
On Jan 6th, 1838, Morse sent the first public telegraph message, "A patient waiter is no loser."
Bring it on. Let's roll.
January 6th is Earl Scruggs birthday. A week of Mr. Scrugg's music would be more than welcome.
When I think of January 6, what comes to mind are Magi (Epiphany) and Saint Brother André Bessette, not some silliness in D.C.
MSM's annual attempts to exaggerate and bring hate to conservatives needs to be mocked hard. Ignoring it won't help anything.
I think too much is being made out of the Jan 6 riot and too little is being made out of the George Floyd riots. I would look forward to your salient observations on the low comedy that is the Democrat Party in power.
This is their A-team: Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Waters, Nadler, Durbin, Warren, Raskin, Swalwell, Hirono.
It is like a freak show at a carnival.
January 6th, 1649 The English Rump Parliament votes to put Charles I on trial for treason and other "high crimes."
January 6th, 1681 First recorded boxing match is engineered by Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle; his butler vs his butcher.
Famous Birthdays
Richard II (1367 - 1400)
John Smith (1580 - 1631)
Heinrich Schliemann (1822 - 1890)
Syd Barrett (1946 - 2006)
Rowan Atkinson 66 Years Old
You could blog forever about January 6th and never get to what happened last year.
In fact, please don't get to what happened last year.
You left out the "Let's go Brandon" choice.
we're coming up on 'boston massacre' numbers, with babbitt, boyland and at least one other, but they are unpeople not worthy of even mentioning, what happened to thomas caldwell, who wasn't even on the premises, and the 400 hundred other plantados, should be a cause for shame,
Bender- Epiphany was celebrated today- early this year. Our good Brother Andre’s feast day is Thursday <3
Someone should get to what happened last year.
Just sayin’.
No button for 'don't give a rats ass'.
The January 6 political prisoners, sort of like the Ayatollah's hostages, will be released the day the GOP takes over the House and Senate.
No option for what I think. No to only Jan 6 blogging. It has been well covered and would be boring to rehash everything. Post when an item has a new thought or twist and then cover all the other interesting things you find.
I voted with the majority (before looking). Please, no.
The January 6 political prisoners, sort of like the Ayatollah's hostages
But before then, Democrats, WaPo et al will try to break them a la Watergate insurrection broke Nixon who, unlike Trump, found no close allies or means to withstand the assault.
I honestly can't think of a worst idea for a "thoughtful" blog.
Watch Tucker Carlson's "Patriot Purge" instead.
Prof, I don't 'doubt your ability to pull it off,' I only doubt my ability to take it. The whole thing will be unavoidable here and everywhere else, and I'm not looking for J6I* Superconcentrate.
