Cat brain.

Speaking of cats, I see Biden got a cat... brought a cat into the mix of mammals prowling about the White House.... maybe not getting quite so bored as a cat in your apartment....
“Willow made quite an impression on Dr. Biden in 2020 when she jumped up on the stage and interrupted her remarks during a campaign stop,” wrote [Jill Biden's Michael] spokesman LaRosa in a news release. “Seeing their immediate bond, the owner of the farm knew that Willow belonged with Dr. Biden.”

How small does your brain need to be to buy that tale of cat lov

The Bidens have a dog, to which they added a cat. You may remember when the Clintons had a cat and they added a dog:

Clinton received a 3-month-old Buddy as a gift in December 1997, weeks before the surfacing of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, which ended with Clinton being impeached by the House and found not guilty by the Senate.

A new pet in the White House always seems like a deliberate distraction. Sorry my link about Buddy goes to the 2002 news report that Buddy went running into a busy road near the Clinton's Chappaqua home and — despite Secret Service protection — got himself killed.

If that love-at-first-sight story about Will and Jillow were true, why didn't the farmer give Jill the cat in 2020? Why now?

The political cliché calls for the pet to be a dog, so is this a case of ‘tried that-didn’t work’ or ‘given the level of distraction required let’s give the cat a try’?

i'm sure you meant that rhetorically, but...
The easy answer is: 2020 was All About Orangeman (BAD!)
2022 is about F*CK JOE BIDEN!!

Or, in the immortal words of SE Hinton: That Was THEN, This Is NOW

The White House distraction machine is running at full tilt these days to try to find something, anything, that Americans approve of in Biden. At least a story about a cat is benign albeit transparently just public relations. The dangerous PR ploy is Ukraine where Biden’s wag the dog may get lots of people killed if cooler heads don’t stop Brandon.

about the psych 101 mindset
"A student giving a paper on post-parturation behavior in cats would indavertantly attribute to the mother cat a mental state, such as caring about her kittens. The student would be corrected and would learn in time to deliver solemnly quantified reports on the amount of licking behavior, sucking lehavior and so on that was "exhibited" by the queens. I wondered about that word "exhibited." Exhibited to whom? The researchers? The kittens? I also wondered about tne intellectual and spiritual futures of students so carefully instructed in the terrible grammar such ways of talking entailed." Vicki Hearne, Adam's Task p.7

There's no excuse for letting Buddy run free while the was a contractor working on the estate. It was up to Bill and Hilary to keep track of their dog and protect him. But, those two don't have a responsible bone among the two of them. Hilary only cares about Hilary and her nonexistent political prospects and Bill only cares about chasing tail (nothing to do with canines).

Since Hilarious lost in 2016, the Clinton (Influence) Foundation has been on hard times. No one wants to donate to the foundation since it no longer has any influence on government.

It will be nice when Melania is first lady again and we don't have such an embarrassing lightweight occupying that position.

But that goes for the entire Regime really.

At least the Biden's are destroying any possible perception that Democrats are smart people.

There’s a cougar in there, somewhere-

In VT, what w/farms going under or cannibalizing themselves- the #of any natural breeding is declining. I have no data- I know all(3) of our barn cats are fixed and a spay/neuter outfit will cheaply help w/that. A few farms have the opinion of free roaming cats which is how we all grew up- w/ 20+ kitties, litters in books and crannies and inbred, snotty offspring:0(

Amba’s cats, now… they are treasured.

Farmers don't get sentimental like that. But it makes for a nice story if you don't notice, as Meade did, that the meeting that inspired this new pairing happened almost 2 years ago.

My experience (well every cat owners experience) informs us that cats always go to people that don't like cats.
So that's the story. The farmer gave a cat to a cat hater. That's a great big "let's go Brandon!"

He probably had 10 more in the barn. And I agree, he wouldn't have waited to give her the cat, but she didn't want it at the time. That was then; this is now. Some staffer remembered the cat incident and got the ball rolling.

We are currently at 5 cats. We've been up to a dozen, but coyotes and farm machinery take their toll. Life can be tough on the farm.

There was a morning DJ here in Atlanta back in the Eighties and Nineties who did a funny recurring bit about Socks the cat, the Clintons' pet. Socks spoke in a disdainful, upper-class accent, barely concealing his contempt for the Clintons and their agenda. One of the bits concluded with Socks instructing Slick Willie how "socialism sucks." If Socks was contemptuous of the Clintons, imagine what his attitude would be with Dementia Joe.

I chuckle every time I see that. Entire news organizations with proud histories re-write their style manuals to accommodate and aging, insecure woman with a comic-book dissertation. I wish Melania Trump would get one of those insta-doctor degrees. The heads would explode trying to explain why she's not a Dr.

Lots of conversation on the cat at chez mezz. Looks a lot like ours (and another billion gray tabbys). Ours is cuter, naturally.

This has to work very well with the chardonnay antifa base, and is a plot line I would write into the TV show based on being a beloved elderly and compassionate POTUS in some media trouble. Think Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Annie Potts would be perfect as Dr. Jill. A blonde rinse and voila!

I see three episodes on the cat, with drop ins through the rest of the run. The wrangler budget will be through the roof.

We recently ran into the problem of mixing cats and dogs. Got a cat 3 years ago, whom I call Buddy. Half Siamese and half barn cat, with the brains and mental issues of his Siamese half prevailing. But the stumpy legs and solid body of his barn cat parent. That means, among other things, fits of extreme (Siamese Cat) jealousness. We realized fairly early on that we should have gotten him a companion. But Siamese don’t do well at sharing, and have a reputation for terminating competition with extreme prejudice. That includes cute little kittens, as as, even, human babies. So, no little kitten to raise as a younger sibling for him.

Then maybe a month ago, partner’s daughter brought by a comparable sized dog of about the same age (3 years) and weight (20 lbs or so), who needed a new home. Big enough and old enough to survive the cat’s jealousies. She is, I believe, a Miniature Pincher. Maybe. Friendly, as heck, to us. Not to the cat. Not in the least. These dogs are supposed to have problems holding their bowels and bladders. Seen some of the former, esp when scared, but she seems to be using the cat’s downstairs litter box for both. Just enough to aggravate the cat, and me, who has to clean it out. So, the cat eats the dog’s food now, and drinks her water. Up until this week, the cat had been able to stare daggers at the dog from the back of the sofa, but the dog can now get up there. Not good with them playing chase behind my partner’s head on the brand new leather sofa. He (cat) is allowed to to that, because he has been declawed. She isn’t, and wasn’t. He is a dainty eater. She is vacuum cleaner, raiding what we give the cat at every opportunity. He now spends a decent part of his day crouched a foot from the dog, staring intensely at her. Then, when her patience is exhausted, and yips at the cat, she is the one who gets in trouble. Anyone who has raised kids knows this tactic, except that it is usually the younger kid who can pull this off.

Not all cats are stupid any more. My partner has to lock the door at night because he very quickly learned how to open most of the doors in the house - jump out, catching the handle, and using his weight to open the door. If I make the backyard cat proof, I am confident that it will also be dog proof. And a couple weeks ago, trying to put her in the back yard to do her business, I turned around and found her inside, and him outside, just the opposite of the desired result. He then proceeded to lead us in a merry chase around the back yard, with the dog happily watching the entertainment from inside.

Can we please stop calling her 'Dr.' Biden? What a bizarre misuse of a recognition of accomplishment.

She's a doctor like I'm a pilot because I used to travel a lot by air. Or like I'm a Chef because I make a great burger. She's as ordinary as ordinary can get. If we gave away awards for being the most perfect sort of mediocre, she'd be an annual recipient.

Call her First Lady. Call her Ms. Biden. Call her Jill. Please stop calling her doctor.

A farmer friend told me the first year they got cows to fatten up and slaughter for the freezer, his kids cried. The second year, his kids didn't ask "what was for dinner" but " who was for dinner". No more tears.

It's not that they didn't care for the animals; it is just part of life.

But Siamese don’t do well at sharing, and have a reputation for terminating competition with extreme prejudice.

A co-worker and her husband had a house on a few acres in the country. They had several dogs but only one cat. We asked how could she have a barn but only one cat. She said the cat would play nice with new cats until she could get them to follow her across the road where traffic got them. The dogs were afraid of the cat.

Thanks. Did you click on that link? Litter boxes in the schools. Dude. And the funny thing is that people believed it.

Why wouldn't you believe it? You can make up any kind of woke shit and it's probably true. The only reason that we have 97 genders is because modern medicine has given us some optionality.

Furries are a joke today and reality tomorrow. If 97 genders is a thing, then being a dog or a cat is a thing. All we need is a plastic surgeon willing to experiment. What woke person would object to that? (And on what basis would you object?)

This is a terrible article. The wild cats domestic cats came from are not that much larger than domestic cats. So the shrinking of wolf/dogs bodies is not seen in cats. The shrinking of cats brains is because they no longer have to provide for themselves and their offspring. They no longer have to choose a mate based on their strength and health, which in small carnivores equates to intelligence. Cats and generational welfare dependents are suffering the same fate. Being made stupid by other’s largess.
