"He fought constantly with his younger brother Douglas, who went on to head the family empire. When Robert Durst tried joining the button-down real estate world, he failed miserably. He was socially awkward, muttered to himself, belched noisily in public and urinated in office wastebaskets. In other settings, he could be smooth, urbane and enormously generous. He gave thousands of dollars to friends, attended the ballet and partied at Studio 54 and other Manhattan hot spots. A master of disguises and aliases, he maintained a stash of wigs and masks and assumed false identities.... In the final episode of the six-part HBO series, he is heard muttering to himself during a bathroom break, apparently unaware that a microphone attached to his clothing is still live: 'What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.'"
From "Robert Durst, heir to New York real estate fortune and convicted murderer, dies at 78" (WaPo).

that's Totally UnCool!
You shouldn't be going around KILLING people, even if you get away with most of it
Killing isn't Just Bad! It's WRONG!!!
It's in my queue. I find that if I check what leaving the network, the choice of what to watch among a sea of movies is conveniently made for me.
Last night I watched 'Underwater' with Kristen Stewart. It's leaving Jan 31.
Counting down the minutes until Trump gets blamed for Durst's trangressions.
Fuck. I hope they refund my Limp Bizkit tickets. They were supposed to play next week at the Garden.
So many celebrity deaths. Does this mean we have too many celebrities?
Howard has a Limp Bizkit ticket.
I never would have guessed!!!

Rumored tapes of him peeing in a Russian wastebasket.
Had to google limp billet… listened to their official video… stopped 1/2way thru-
Not impressed w/the usage of the kids. 2each his own. They sure know a lot of famous people.
What’s the connection to Durst?
Durst went to the ballet! How could he be a murderer?
Ryan Gosling did a fictionalized Durst in All Good Things. He was creepy, but I can't imagine him urinating in the office wastebaskets. Hollywood has no trouble portraying evil people but has trouble making characters as repellent or repulsive as they really are.
Counting down the minutes until Trump gets blamed for Durst's trangressions.
Durst had a feud with his brother, who took over control of the empire. Durst's brother was a business rival of Trump's. Trump (naturally) had a feud with Durst's brother. Therefore ...

Seriously, isn't That what they're for?
One of the late great Donald E. Westlake's book characters was locked in an office and had to take a dump. Wastebasket?
Nah. Desk drawer.
Might have been Dortmunder but I wouldn't swear on it.
I read elsewhere that the final comment in the HBO piece was deceptively edited. He said those words, but not in that order, and they cobbled it together.
