I followed the NYT's method of One book per author. And I tried to fit more women authors in, but its the Top 25, so that wasn't possible.
Ann: not sure if this is a 'free for all post' but just in case....
Family stopped doing the Christmas gift thing years ago. Have been ignoring holiday sales and such for many years. However, this year's barrage of emails and temptations is pretty thick. Even my stalwart resistance is challenged. I just spent 10 minutes staring at a fountain pen I don't need (I must have 40 at this point). But resisted.
I also don't want to contribute to the overall mayhem and stress the distribution/mail system is experiencing. There is always another fountain pen. There is always a less stressful time to shop in the future.

I keep telling you, Althouse, you are great at taking pictures that would make good 1000 piece puzzles.
What does “the Dean Scream”, “crossing state lines”, and “horse dewormer” share in common?
Fake news media feeding us a full dose of bullshit narratives.

Why is racist Joe Biden restricting travel to Africa? Why is racist Joe Biden restoring Trump's Stay in Mexico policy?
Racist Joe Biden is just being who he is, I guess: a racist. Like the rest of the Democrat Party.
Very pretty.
