The NYT doesn't talk about what is in the purported diary, but it refers to the diary as if it is established that they diary is really Ashley Biden's diary. And of course, if it wasn't really Ashley Biden's diary then how could the FBI have gotten the search warrant?
You can still read that diary and find links to it at that second link, but I don't know if I'd recommend doing that. It's a personal diary. I think the worst thing about Joe Biden is a statement of a memory of taking a shower with him that was "probably not appropriate."

President Trump ordered the investigation of the alleged theft of the diary. Project Veritas received the diary in late 2020 apparently after the election. According to PV, the diary was "found" in a recovery program room that had been previously occupied by Ashley Biden. How does one leave such a private item behind at an addiction recovery facility private room? How could housekeeping miss the diary while prepping the room for another client?

Ah geez-when I learned--from this blog--that Biden's daughter had a diary, I was kinda hoping that it had details of bagmen arriving Chez Biden with duffel bags full of cash. And instead it only contains references to "inappropriate showers" with Daddy Biden? What a let down!

Duh, the diary was mentioned in the Steele dossier. In an appendix. Which was only recently discovered ... filed next to the Rose Law Office billing records.
I have to wonder why the FBI is involved in this. There are plausible explanations, but the stories published today don't contain any of them. It is possible that someone was trying to blackmail the Bidens- that would be a plausible excuse to involve the FBI. If no one was using it in extortion, and there is no evidence this diary was actually stolen that I have seen, then this seems an abuse of the federal police powers.
Additionally, does anyone really believe that the diary wouldn't be published in its entirety in the NYTimes itself if this were Ivanka's? Anyone? I am not going to read it- I just am not that voyeuristic, and the Biden daughter doesn't seem to deserve such exposure, unlike her half brother who is grifting off of his father's positions.

The FBI is investigating an alleged misappropriation of a diary, seemingly on the sole basis that it belonged to the President's daughter? You couldn't make this up. Anyone who supports this administration is an enemy of the people.

The biggest story here should be the fact that the NYT was immediately made aware of the warrant, details of its purpose, and the identity of the person being served. Grand jury proceedings are secret, by law, and that is supposed to be sacrosanct.
