Sure they do...so do we! No one can be so naive as to not already know this. The conversation between Logan and the other guy is simply ingenuous, catering to dopes. However, not everything negative said about America by our adversaries in their propaganda is false. America's soldiers are sent to fight for corporate greed scenarios! This is nothing new. Just read General Smedley Butler's speech from 70-80 years ago, published as a book, WAR IS A RACKET.

"I spent thirty-three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country’s most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle-man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

"I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My tennis coach: when instructing the young blonde girls he would place his arm gently around their waists, yet with me his hand always went lower to cup my slim ass.

Now, to his credit, he never casually hooked his fingers beneath the hem of my crisp white tennis skirt -- but I always breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't, if you know what I mean.

This, of course, pales in comparison to Peng Shuai's situation, but I can say I understand the fear of Tennis Authority Figures. The Geopolitics make it worse, obviously.

This peace allowed the Japanese to free sufficient forces to attack Britain and Dutch Indonesia. As part of the treaty, the Japanese promised not make war on Mao's forces but only those of Chiang. Iran has openly resumed shipments of oil to China and oil prices in China are going down. Biden tacitly endorses this and drives oil prices up for Americans.

Democrats don't care about a little rapey rape out of their leaders every now and then. They wish they could disappear their accusers like this publicly and obviously.

Democrats do not denounce China's genocide because they are just waiting for their turn to wipe out their political dissidents here in the US.

War is not an inevitability if humans could recognize we are all stuck here together on a shrinking planet with limited (and diminishing) resources, and act rationally according to that understanding. Certainly, the proletariat, if you will, should share in a greater part of the wealth they produce by their labor than is now the case, and much less of it should be transferred upward to the plutocratic individuals and institutions who now feast upon it, (not least of these, the makers of war and weapons of war).
