"...the American is fighting for some corporate greed scenario...they're making anti-American propaganda films."

Sure they do...so do we! No one can be so naive as to not already know this. The conversation between Logan and the other guy is simply ingenuous, catering to dopes. However, not everything negative said about America by our adversaries in their propaganda is false. America's soldiers are sent to fight for corporate greed scenarios! This is nothing new. Just read General Smedley Butler's speech from 70-80 years ago, published as a book, WAR IS A RACKET.

Some excerpts:

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

"I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

"I spent thirty-three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country’s most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle-man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

"I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service."

The Chinese are close students, and have beat Hollywood at their anti-American game. They'll soon overtake H-wood as the world's greatest historical distortionists.

"If you had told me a week-and-a-half ago that the Women's Tennis Association was going to be the most effective and bravest human rights organization in the world I would have thought you were bananas but here we are," Currie [Kelley Eckels Currie, former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues] told Reuters in an interview on Tuesday.
"The WTA is essentially putting more than a billion dollars on the line over the life of a single member of the Women's Tennis Association."

That's what it would have looked like if "Feminists" had done the right thing regarding Paula Jones.

I am operating under the assumption we have already lost our American Moment, lost our governance and corporate fealties to China and could be looking at 400 years of darkness.

The drip drip drip for the last 25 years -- from Gore's Suitcases of Cash to Feinstein's chauffeur to Swawell on our Intelligence Committee, and now the unambiguous financial cahoots with our pseudo-President -- they are patiently, smugly wagging the dog.

I mourn all the ways I was sanguine over these years, or fought hard but for the wrong battles, and helped our generation throw America away.

Just wait til the Chinese housing bubble pops. Things will get real freaky with that and the crackdown on other industries.

That China is going officially xenophobic and isolationist while working up Imperial pretensions should worry more people. But it doesn't.

"Sure they do...so do we!"

Evident in all the anti-jihadist and anti-Chinese movies being made in Hollywood. Quite a propaganda apparatus Amerikkka has there, almost as sophisticated as the war in and exit from Afghanistan.

Howard: "Shorter Drago: men stim stop wow"

I'm sure you meant that to mean something.

Probably, although there is still likely a 35% possibility Howard dialed up a random sentence generator.

Having been a Young Beguiling Jewish Girl Who Played High School Tennis, this story resonates with me.

My tennis coach: when instructing the young blonde girls he would place his arm gently around their waists, yet with me his hand always went lower to cup my slim ass.

Now, to his credit, he never casually hooked his fingers beneath the hem of my crisp white tennis skirt -- but I always breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't, if you know what I mean.

This, of course, pales in comparison to Peng Shuai's situation, but I can say I understand the fear of Tennis Authority Figures. The Geopolitics make it worse, obviously.

I'm sure China makes the effort but for really effective anti-American propaganda I don't think they can compete with Hollywood.....I saw Squid Game. It's a South Korean show, but it shows perhaps how the Chinese portray Americans. The Americans are presented in a way that's so unflattering as to be cartoonish and totally unbelievable. Hollywood when it takes on that evil sector of American society known as Republicans uses more subtlety and sharper knives whilst never ignoring the fact that these Republicans are subhuman scum...I wonder if we'll ever know the real story behind this Chinese tennis star. Generations after Lenin and Stalin we still know only a fraction of the crimes committed to bring the worker's paradise into being.....I'm reading a book about how Stalin conducted WWII. He signed a separate peace with Japan with whom he had been at war for the better part of the preceding decade. He promised to stop supplying Chiang with supplies or money and to not contest the Japanese occupation of Manchuria. This peace allowed the Japanese to free sufficient forces to attack Britain and Dutch Indonesia. As part of the treaty, the Japanese promised not make war on Mao's forces but only those of Chiang. Mao's forces were only minimally involved in the war with Japan and this was by design and by treaty.

Jocko. Jocko.

Who could forget the mighty Jocko? Those he couldn't buy off, he killed.

Yeah, that was me. They tried to deport me, like I was a dirty Chicom or something.
But there's only one Jocko.

How do you account for it?

He knows what he wants. Don't you, Jocko?

He wants more, don't you, Jockco?

Yeah. That's it. More. That's right! I want more!

Will you ever get enough?

Well, I never have. No, I guess I won't. You, do you know what you want?

Yes, I had hopes once, but I gave them up.

Hopes for what?

A world in which there's no place for Jocko

China is doing well on recreating western technology and expanding it's limits. I wonder that their weakness is in food production. I don't think they devote their best talent to that, and choose to buy from the US, Canada, Argentina, and Australia.

If they shoot a hypersonic germ bomb at the US to get Taiwan, they may not be able to feed their people, kill the enemy, kill the supplier, kill the enemy, kill the customer. Starving people need a lot of troops to keep them down and to keep the Xi's safe, (no matter how you pronounce it).

Howard's desperation in attempting to deflect criticism of the democraticals allies and paymasters, the ChiComs, is duly noted.

It has long been ChiCom strategic doctrine that they, the ChiComs, could lose 80% of their entire population and still have a viable society, assuming the enemy was completely destroyed.

This is a touchy subject for Howard.

If the democrat party was a wing of the CCP how they act or be different than they do now?

Iran has openly resumed shipments of oil to China and oil prices in China are going down. Biden tacitly endorses this and drives oil prices up for Americans.

Democrats don't care about a little rapey rape out of their leaders every now and then. They wish they could disappear their accusers like this publicly and obviously.

Democrats do not denounce China's genocide because they are just waiting for their turn to wipe out their political dissidents here in the US.

This is who they are. It is what they do.

Stop pretending they are not the assholes they are acting like.

"Shorter Cookie: Marius had the right idea. If there will always be war, and there will be, the proletariat should profit."

War is not an inevitability if humans could recognize we are all stuck here together on a shrinking planet with limited (and diminishing) resources, and act rationally according to that understanding. Certainly, the proletariat, if you will, should share in a greater part of the wealth they produce by their labor than is now the case, and much less of it should be transferred upward to the plutocratic individuals and institutions who now feast upon it, (not least of these, the makers of war and weapons of war).

If war remains an inevitability, so will be our global societal self-destruction.

Anyone who disagrees with Cook is irrational. Therefor they get the boot on the throat that socialists always deliver.

Certainly, the proletariat, if you will, should share in a greater part of the wealth they produce by their labor than is now the case, and much less of it should be transferred upward to the plutocratic individuals and institutions who now feast upon it, (not least of these, the makers of war and weapons of war).

Cook pretends he actually gives a shit about the "proletariat" while supporting policies that lead to misery and poverty for all but his favored plutocrats every single time they are implemented.

If war remains an inevitability, so will be our global societal self-destruction.

When Cook and his socialist buddies loot and burn people's businesses and property that is "social justice" and that is good. A little police defunding to clear the way for jackboot mobs is always nice. Open borders are of course an important step forward.

When the owners of those businesses and properties group up and wipe out the socialist barbarians that spread misery and suffering that is war and therefor bad.

It is even better when Cook pretends he doesn't support the Biden administration because it is Joe Biden implementing the government controls and policies Cook supports.

Robert Cook said...

You're being intentionally dishonest. People like me do not "think force is a proper way to deal with their fellow human beings."
