That might have been what prevented more bloodshed...which is what the 2nd Amendment is all about, the government has to respect the potential power of an armed citizenry as well as the citizens respecting the power of the government.

Somebody shouting at Graham that the Capitol was under attack and exaggerating the situation could have provoked this response. The problem is, as most people point out, that condoning a massacre of "undocumented tourists" would have been a fine excuse for martial law over the Capitol. Assuming that a massacre wasn't immediately answered with a real riot that would kill most of the Congress and the lightly armed Capitol Police. What a shame that would have been. He stayed quiet and voted against conviction. He's still Grahmesty. STill loves open borders, free trade, and more wars. He was for Lieberman being McCain VP. He spent all of 2015, and most of 2016 calling Trump and his suppporters "Racists" "Bigots" "Isolationist" and "Homophobes".
