She wants to control the money she has made from her career and spend it without supervision or oversight. She wants to be able to get married and have a baby, if she so chooses. In short, she wants to live her life as she chooses without the constraints of a conservator or court proceeding."

Britney Spears is just a couple months short of forty. Yes, she certainly should be released from her conservatorship — a full decade ago.
Some people do not have the self control nor the self awareness to deal with vast wealth and fame.

I personally think she deserves to live her life, but she probably has a type of manic depression, and doesn't take her medications all the time. She will end up broke and dead. Sad case. Too bad it is so public. I hope I am wrong.
If you can ask for control rationally, you deserve it. Doesn't matter if you're gonna NOT pay Daddy or NOT leave him anything of yours to spend when you OD or drive off a cliff, it is your life, and unless you can't tell a hawk from a handsaw, you should be in control of your own property and your own care.

At some point, you have to let people go their own way whether they are capable of taking care of themselves or not. I am just thankful that Britney is vaccinated against COVID.

Not a fan, and I wouldn't be surprised if she manages to spend her way to homelessness inside of a year of being set free. That being said, unless someone can prove mental illness worthy of her being institutionalized, it's her right to be completely irresponsible and stupid.
At 39, a pregnancy will be high risk. Her time for that may have passed.

Dad knows he's signing his daughter's death warrant and probably her kid as well. OTOH when she self-destructs it'll make a great movie on a streaming channel in the not-too-distant future.

I wish her luck. Her wealth and fame didn't buy much sanctuary and probably exacerbated her difficulties.....It's very rare that you hear of a major pop singer who doesn't take a strong stand on global warming and social justice. Let's hope she get her life together and like Cher, Madonna, and Barbra lends us the benefit of her wisdom.

I heard she had to pay her father 2 million USD to get him to agree to quit sucking at her tit. Let's be real. She has been working since she was what? 12? Making millions of dollars and having parasites clamped tight and sucking it away from her. Including the father of her children. She has been taken advantage of enough. It is her damned money, earned by her, and if she wants to blow it all on sex, drugs and rock and roll then BY GOD it is HERS to do with as she will, and at 40 years old and at least as competent as the guy pretending to be President, the courts have no business in the matter at all....and her father and her ex-husband deserve to rot in hell for what they have done. I feel sorry for her.
