"In the opening months of the pandemic, the lab leak hypothesis was actively discredited by the media and scientific establishment, with anyone associated with it smeared as 'racist.'"
"The question we have to ask now is how, and why, did this happen? To a great extent, I believe the answer lies with the world’s most powerful news outlet, the New York Times. At the start of the pandemic, the Times set the news and policy agenda on the lab leak hypothesis, discrediting it and anyone who explored it. The Times did so while taking money from Chinese state-owned propaganda outlets, such as China Daily, and while pursuing long-term investments in China that may have made the paper susceptible to the CCP’s strong-arm propaganda tactics in the first months of the pandemic."

"I would say that it was not 'the world's' verdict so much as it was the World's Narrative that seemed to be shifting. If you had asked millions of people around the world at the time Covid broke out, they would have told you that it was probably a leak- either purposefully or by accident- from the single largest Level 4 Lab in all of China located in the very city where the outbreak began. It would not have taken the 'scientific establishment' or the WHO's feckless Director, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, or Peter Daszak, the latter two being full-time employees of the CCP.
"Everytime we have a major event- be it the Benghazi attacks, the Russia Collusion, Hunter Biden, Covid, what have you- there is The Narrative of the major press and political class, then there is the simple reality that the rank and file citizens of the world can clearly see. So in this bubble discussion the worldwide scientific establishment is having with the Global Press, maybe they should go back to some of the people they worked to have censored and ask them: What happened?"

“ Isn't it odd after over a year, the millions of lives dead, trillions in wealth destroyed coping with COVID and yet no one in power has thought to even ask China about it? Like we are supposed to accept China's explanation as gospel or we are racists or something.
“ Like this is one giant "whoopsee" like a weather balloon of theirs escaped or a ship run aground. They need their heads examined if they think the rest of us will ever forgive or forget. Our ruling class and their media supplicants are garbage, pure and simple.”
