So, yeah; we in the supermajority of vaccinated, educated Americans are laughing our asses off, at the slackjawed yokels watching Tucker and Hannity and Ingraham all yakking about Ivermectin. And of course the Ivermectin used in trials isn't at all like the doses and formulations used in veterinary practice. You can't much explain stupid at that level.

But again, you just have to wonder about all the people shying away from vaccines which have been exhaustively-studied, FDA-approved, used in millions of patients, with nearly-nonexistent dangerous side effects, and so are recommended by nearly every respectable medical authority... While something like Ivermectin, or hydroxycholorquine, or God only knows what else, are hailed as theraputics despite a lack of studies, evidence or FDA approval. (The CDC and FDA have gone to great lengths to discourage them.)

And yet Trump keeps chattering about them. Ron DeSantis does too. So do the Fox News Channel prime time entertainment hosts. And so, unsurprisingly, the slackjawed yokels keep listening and doing stupid shit.

Why? We have the Trump vaccines! The miracle drugs, produced by PDJT almost personally, in the brilliant, amazing, incredible Operation Warp Speed. Nobody's seen anything like it. Why do they reject the scientifically solid vaccines, and opt for the scientifically bogus "theraputics"?

I think it goes back to 2020. The Trumpists didn't want COVID to be serious. If COVID were serious, then it might be a problem for Trump's reelection. COVID could derail the economy, which might in turn derail the Trump 2020 reelection. So COVID was never something that should have shut down the nation. Keep going; keep things open. If you get sick, you'll probably get better. You can try hydroxy and zinc and vitamins to keep you and your employees going. And some other stuff, to make you better if you do get sick. "Theraputics!"

And the Trumpists have never gotten over that. The idea that the medical profession, and the federal government, and the British government, and the French government, and the Australian and New Zealand and South Korean governments all said similar things, just makes the Trumpists more angry and predisposed to anti- everything.

These posted claims were themselves censored from reddit btw.

The road once taken, there's no going back. Soon enough there's going to be more stuff to censor. That's how how it works.
