"Taliban fighters beat back thousands desperate to flee outside Kabul airport on Sunday."
Meanwhile, 6,500 82nd Airborne Troops are parked at Hamid Karzai International Airport to resolve these Taliban issues by any and all military means. If the enemy fails to cooperate, load more fighting troops on the inbound C-130s. If we must go back to fighting this war after three years of no casualties - we might as well start by dropping a few Daisy Cutters on Taliban-occupied military installations.
As followers of this blog may have noticed, I have jokingly (and yet seriously) referred to Politician Formerly Known as Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. as the Resident of the United States since at least March of this year.
I am gratified to learn this styling has entered the mainstream lexicon. Users of this material have 30 days foward their royalty payments.
As I was walking the canine this morning, pre-sunrise, it suddenly felt like it might rain soon, so I checked the radar (of course I have my phone with me so I can look at the radar while I walk: doesn't everyone?), and sure enough: Incoming! So naturally I thought: Oooh, this could make for some nice sunrise pictures from the Professor (emeritus!) if the threat of rain doesn't dissuade her. So I'm looking forward to that. Also, the rain is nice. But the recent rains have brought out mosquitoes for the first time, and I don't like that.
If some of ya’ll never been to Afghanistan Some y’all never been down that way… I’m gonna tell you a little story so’s you’ll understand what I’m talkin’ about Down there they have a saying that grows out of centuries of backward thinkin’, centuries of mohamheadism And it sounds somethin’ like “I keel you!” But everybody calls him Fruit… Salad Fruit Salad Milley Down in the state of Virginia, where the profiteers grow so fat Lived a guy that I swear to the world Made our military look lame Fruit Salad Milley, moves you make look silly Everybody said it was a shame Because he couldn’t even plan a war game

It's like you are a child.
The airport is surrounded by residential areas. Daisy Cutters were developed to flatten forests so that helos could swoop in. Taliban "installations" that are most relevant in this scenario are in the city. There are hundreds/thousands of innocents intermingled with the taliban in the city. Our forces spent 20 years not knowing who amongst the population were friend or foe.
But yeah, lets drop daisy cutter bombs on Kabul...and have it be ordered by dementia pudding boy being jacked up on chemicals as we speak who so far won't even allow our special forces to go into the city to bring out Americans as the Brits, French and Germans are doing as we speak.
In the "country", the taliban have not massed forces for years specifically to avoid such heavy US bombardment, so its not useful there either.
You know, I'm beginning to see why you and LLR Chuck view George "Where is my neck?!" Conway as some sort of military strategy sage.
I think that your sunrise photos have become more interesting and appealing since you have included plants, vegetation in the foreground. I’m not a photographer, but I do appreciate a well-composed picture that seems balanced with more texture and not too much empty space.
