I can't explain why, but I think this might be one of my favorite pics from the vast Althouse collection.

Also, it's nice to see the comments return. It feels a bit like Cheers - you know the characters and know what they are likely to say, but it's entertaining to watch the discussions unfold. And sometimes it goes past entertaining to enlightening.

So, the people who couldn't save Kabul now want to save the planet?

What airport shall we use to escape?

I've come down with either a cold or COVID-19, the symptoms for both are similar. My wife and I had our second Pfizer shot in mid-April. It started with a sore throat/mouth, which is how all my colds start. I've had a slight headache, a mild fever last night, it disappeared early this morning. I was cold, but not shivering. I'm tired and have take frequent naps. I should be ok tomorrow, just in time for a monthly lunch with some friends.

The problem with this is my plans to work out at our property had to be abounded until I feel better. Maybe Friday.

You shouldn’t be lunching with friends until you get a negative test. I’m just saying.

I'm debating about getting a third Pfizer shot. Rather than getting that shot, might it not be best to count on the fact that Covid, if I get it, won't be bad because I've been vaccinated. And so, either I won't get it or it won't be bad and then, after I've had it, I'll have natural immunity which, long run, seems strongest. I wonder.

Mike, I know people who got a "summer flu" with most of those symptoms. They were tested and it was not Covid. It was just some wandering "bug" of the kind that used to be common and almost unnoticed.

Comments returned? Ah, that explains why there are so many. Was wondering.

I think it's most likely a cold.

We have our lunch outdoors, where there's no chance of spread. Everyone's been vaccinated.
