I'll just add:
For some reason, I walked out on "Petulia." It was some time around 1970, when I was in college. Can't remember why it bugged me so much. I've sat through so many movies, and there's only one other movie I've walked out on in my entire life — "Summer of Sam." I know why I walked out on that: I didn't want to watch people getting murdered. Should have thought of that before paying to get in.
I'm not counting a couple movies that I left because there was something wrong with the projection — and I got my money back — or the many many movies I've started to watch on TV and declined to finish.
