"Carl Stewart, 39, of Liverpool in northwest England, sent a picture of a block of mature blue Stilton he picked up in the upscale British retail chain, Marks & Spencer, Merseyside police said. He had sent the photo on an encrypted messaging service called EncroChat — where he used the handle 'Toffeeforce' to peddle cocaine, heroin, DMA and ketamine, cops said."
Interesting that a drug dealer would buy mature cheese at an upscale store.

Among my other obsessions I follow Premier League football, and I use this to help build my stoicism. Hence, I support Everton football club, aka “the Toffees” (as does Paul Mirengoff of the Powerline site). Winning championships is no boon to stoicism. Back in olden times there was a toffee shop close to the grounds, and the name has stuck (no pun intended.) Our protagonist is clearly blue through and through.
As for this particular Toffee’s taste in cheese, you will note that the Everton crest has “nil satis nisi optimum” prominently displayed under Prince Rupert’s tower, an old lockup that has featured as the symbol of the club for over 100 years.
Nothing but the best will do.
