"The blowback against the seven Republican senators who supported former President Donald J. Trump’s conviction in his impeachment trial has begun."

"In Louisiana, the state Republican Party’s executive committee voted unanimously on Saturday to censure Senator Bill Cassidy, who was just re-elected in November and was among those who voted to find Mr. Trump guilty. The state’s Republican attorney general, Jeff Landry, said Mr. Cassidy had 'fallen into the trap laid by Democrats to have Republicans attack Republicans.' Two of the Republicans who voted for conviction, Senators Richard M. Burr of North Carolina and Patrick J. Toomey of Pennsylvania, are not seeking re-election next year.... Of the seven Republicans who voted to convict Mr. Trump, only one of them, Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, will be on the ballot in 2022. But she is a uniquely formidable candidate in her state, having once won re-election as a write-in candidate after losing a primary."

"Democrats were forced to do what? You're saying they were called onto the floor of the Senate and retracted statements and documents? “

There won’t be one to CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post or the New York Times, that’s for sure. The news networks re-doctored the Republican’s uncut version of the videos before airing them.

Not to mention that they doctored the “Calvary” tweet to give some nobody a blue check to make it look like she was something other than an internet rando. Yes, they altered evidence, still seven Republicans voted guilty.

******************************

Do you have a link to support the claim that Democrats were forced to retracted statements and documents on the floor of the U.S. Senate? I was just mocked for not knowing this had happened. Yet for some reason, no one seems capable of providing any evidence to confirm that this happened at all.

Covid may have gotten the dems back in office, but it also emptied the already pretty empty and indebted piggy bank. They can pay back their constituencies with the $1.9 trillion as usual, but that kind of spending is always a temporary bandage. I don't hear any talk of proceeding with nationalized health care or, aside from Romney (!), a guaranteed income. Yes, they can score a one-off by forgiving student debt, but $10,000 won't cut it (AOC is right).

The socialists got in office two generations too late to enact their Scandinavian wet dream.

The Capitol assault resulted in one of the worst days of injuries for law enforcement in the United States since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. At least 138 officers — 73 from the Capitol Police and 65 from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington — were injured, the departments have said. They ranged from bruises and lacerations to more serious damage such as concussions, rib fractures, burns and even a mild heart attack.

One could argue that the edited impeachment video is incomplete, Farid said, but the exclusion of some parts of Trump’s speech does not make the video deceptive.

What Lawrence’s tweet stated was: “We are bringing the Calvary,” a reference not to an armed militia, but to a representation of the crucifixion of Jesus, a symbol of peace and love in the Christian faith.

Lawrence has since called Swalwell’s presentation “false misleading evidence,” writing that he “changed both the appearance and meaning of one [of her] Tweets during testimony on Wednesday.”

Furthermore, Schoen offered evidence suggesting that someone on the impeachment team altered screenshots of Lawrence’s tweets to place a verified blue check mark next to her name, when in fact, she does not possess one.

So Demcorats offered two pieces of evidence that were deceptively altered.

Politifact kindly points out that the rule against introducing deceptively edited evidence is not yet in force, so Democrats violated no rule. That’s hardly the point, what it is that Democrats will tolerate when it comes to manipulating evidence.

Trump didn't ask Raffensberger find 11,780 votes for Trump. He asked that he find 11,780 of the tens of thousands of illegal votes cast for Biden.

During their conversation, Trump issued a vague threat to both Raffensperger and Ryan Germany, the secretary of state’s general counsel, suggesting that if they don’t find that thousands of ballots in Fulton County have been illegally destroyed to block investigators — an allegation for which there is no evidence — they would be subject to criminal liability.

“That’s a criminal offense,” he said. “And you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer.”

Here is Politifact explaining how the video doesn’t violate House rules.

"A deceptively edited video is one that purports to depict an event in its entirety, but the video has in fact been edited to remove or add content that significantly alters the video's meaning," he said. "For example, editing a speech saying ‘Let's peacefully take the Capitol,’ to say ‘Let's take the Capitol,’ by cutting or splicing a portion of the video."

One could argue that the edited impeachment video is incomplete, Farid said, but the exclusion of some parts of Trump’s speech does not make the video deceptive.

On Wednesday, Fani T. Willis, the recently elected Democratic prosecutor in Fulton County, sent a letter to numerous officials in state government, including Mr. Raffensperger, requesting that they preserve documents related to “an investigation into attempts to influence” the state’s 2020 presidential election.

So, yet another bullshit "investigation" by a Democrat hack, that's going to go nowhere.

Now, let's see all the things that Arturo Ui skipped over

1: Asked if the Democrats hack submitted faked "evidence" in the impeachment. No response. So he agrees it was faked, he just doesn't care
2: Asked if he'd condemned all the Democrats involved in political violence last summer and fall. Said nothing, because he supports those violence inciting, supporting, and carrying out Democrats.
3: Had it pointed out that his characterization of the Trump - Reff talk was false. no response, because he knows he's lying, and just doesn't care.

Thanks for clearing that all up, troll

Actual voters aren't crazy about sending ideological icons to Congress. People online care about those things, but voters want somebody who can get the roads fixed, not somebody caught up in DC's ideological dances. So Alaskans will wish Palin well doing whatever she's doing now and hope she keeps at it, rather than send her to Washington.

Joe Crowley would still be in Congress if AOC had been a public figure when she ran for office instead of a waitress or bartender or restaurant hostess or whatever she was. People who didn't bother to vote would have lined up to vote against her. That's why Ramsey Clark and Bella Abzug never became senators (though she came uncomfortably close).

So they ran with a lie for weeks. They knew how Sicknick died. They talked to the doctors that did the autopsy.

They knew the entire time. Just like the House managers knew they were doctoring evidence.

Then they proceeded to censor Trump on every public forum they could. And they censored as many of his supporters as they could. And they called it an "Insurrection." A "Threat to democracy."

And guess what. It is the Parkland anniversary and Joe Biden is starting to spout off Gun Control garbage.

Murkowski acts as if it's her birthright to have Daddy's seat. No surprise there, since Daddy appointed her to replace himself in the Senate when he became Alaska governor. Kennedyesque.
