Not legitimate POTUS Biden has reportedly walked back some things: $15 minimum wage, student loan forgiveness, rescinding sanctions on Iran. Meanwhile France has been found in violation of their Paris Accord commitments, by the French courts. LOL.

People upset about the issues with distribution and inoculations of the vaccine are dumping the blame on governors. It doesn't occur to these dopes that local communities - towns, townships, counties - are much better equipped and knowledgeable about their residents to get the vaccine to the right people, rather than some elected functionary sitting in the state capital. But, such is the delusions of the Left.

Pretty sure I'll never be vaccinated. They'll have to pass a law to keep me from traveling without proof of vaccination.

Rand Paul (Re: impeachment): "I think you’re going to see the Trump defense play video of Rep. Maxine Waters telling crowds to mob Trump administration officials and attack them. They’ll probably show clips of Cory Booker saying get up in the face of these congresspeople. You’ll probably see comments from Rep. [Ilhan] Omar celebrating the violence that happened to me when I had six ribs broken and part of a lung removed.”

Bruce Castor, one of Trump’s lawyers, told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Friday “you can count on that.”

I keep seeing videos of violent crimes in public in broad daylight in Blue cities. I have mixed emotions tbh. The crimes are bad and I want the thugs punished. But I also think that the cure for Blue voting is Blue governance.

I truly believe that for most people now, voting is UNCONNECTED to their expectations of governance. They vote based on tweets or memes or mantras and see NO CONNECTION between how they vote and how they are governed. It’s all mood affiliation.

*************

I had the distinct pleasure of colliding with George Shultz as he hurtled out of the Old Senate Office building while I was ascending its steps. That would have been circa 1970. I sometimes had to visit Capitol Hill legislative offices back then, but I have no recollection why I was there on that occasion. (I lived two blocks behind the Supreme Court, so the patent law firm I worked in probably used me as a courier on my way home.)

The collision mostly involved our briefcases, which went flying but thankfully did not open.

We exchanged mutual apologies and then off he went, at high speed.

I favor soft mask mandates. That is, businesses are explicitly allowed to require a mask. They can evict non wearers without recourse. All government offices require masks, and can evict. But other than such evictions the police do not get involved. None of this arresting on the street or park stuff.

"You’re back again. But you’re still very very stupid. I mean really stupid. Please just go away." The idea is that telling the truth is "stupid."

Meantime ActBlue is fund raising off of lead impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin's claim that Trump's "... incitement of insurrection against the United States government — which disrupted the peaceful transfer of power — is the most grievous constitutional crime ever committed by a President." When asked why bother going ahead with the impeachment trial Raskin claims that otherwise any future president might attempt a violent insurrection against the government in order to rule as a dictator. Raskin interviewed Is Raskin obligated to prove that's what Trump had in mind? Or is the accusation enough for this Senate trial? I'm not sure what the Democrats are actually trying to accomplish by this gambit, in my mind it's bizarre.

In other news elsewhere AOC refuses to apologize to Ted Cruz for saying he almost had her murdered and she denies saying that he almost had her murdered, which of course is exactly what she did say. The qualifying word here is "almost" and that absolves her of guilt.

It's crazy time in the Democratic Party. They are going full lunatic mode.

Since stephen readily accepts other folks undocumented opinions, he would also ascribe to the theory that placing one foot in a bucket of ice water and one foot in a bucket of boiling water will attain comfortable feet, on average.

I personally only have my own limited experience with getting shot with Pfizer twice which begot a slightly sore shoulder muscle overnight, no needle pain and no after affects such as chills and headaches. And when and if the shit hits the fan, I like my chances of surviving this pandemic a whole lot better than the odds against anti-vaxxers since the SARS-CoV-2 virus is a killer.

There are no such reports. What gives you the right to pass out baseless “information” that only serves to make yoiu feel less guilty about your opinions on the vaccine. We need to stop flooding hospitals with COVID cases so that they can get back to treating other conditions which are often debilitating and/or life threatening.

Just once I would like to see an enterprising red state governor to order the ticketing of all out of state drivers for not obtaining their drivers license. Pick a set blue state drivers, say Cuomoland. Of course there would be an immediate injunction issued. But it would elevate the issue.

I absolutely do not carry as I live 12 minutes from the NY border. You're going to the pokey if you inadvertently slip across the border while carrying.

Around the time Trump announced he was running (2015) I instituted a personal policy for my FB feed: post something hateful, irrational, or hyper-partisan politically and you would get a demerit. After three such posts I would stop following you on my feed. Being one of very few conservatives among my FB friends it wasn't long until the only people showing up in my timeline were my kids; and they were using FB less and less. Finally I noticed that my feed was full of nothing but sponsored posts. So I terminated my FB account shortly after Trump's election. Haven't missed it once.

Some time ago I was talking to a banker friend about house repossessions. That was his specialty at the bank. He told me the story of particularly painful foreclosure. Apparently, the homeowner felt he was treated unfairly, so the in middle of a heavy snowstorm, he smashed out the picture window, shut off the heat and moved out. By the time the bank discovered the mess, the house was pretty much destroyed.

My banker friend took a novel approach. The bank forgave the loan and sent the homeowner a 1099. Of course, the IRS was notified the homeowner's windfall.
