"The state isn’t exactly scrupulous in the evidence it musters. It contends that Biden had less than a one in a quadrillion chance..."

"... of winning any one of these battleground states after Trump established a lead on election night. The chance of winning all four, per the suit, was less than one in a quadrillion to the fourth power. But the calculation assumed that every batch of ballots would have roughly the same partisan breakdown, despite there never having been any real-world expectation of this. It was predicted that Trump would establish an early lead in states that counted in-person ballots first, and then Biden would gain as the states began to count mail-in ballots, which were heavily Democratic. The last-counted ballots were universally understood to be the Democrats’ turn at bat, given who they were and where they came from...."

From "Texas Unleashes an Absurd Kraken" by the Editors of The National Review.

Also in The National Review, "Texas’s Frivolous Lawsuit Seeks to Overturn Election in Four Other States" by Andrew McCarthy. Excerpt:
Texas’s principal claim... is that by administering the election in a way that deviated from their states’ laws, election officials in the defendant states usurped the authority of their state legislatures, in violation of the Constitution’s Electors Clause (Art. II, Sec. 1, Cl. 2). The Third Circuit has explained that not even the citizens of the states where this happened nor candidates for office have standing to press such a claim. How on earth would a different, comparatively unaffected state have standing?...

Federal law provides a procedure under which, on January 6, Congress will convene to count the electoral votes. If Texas’s elected representatives, or those of any other state, object to the counting of any state’s electoral votes, Congress will hear, debate, and vote on those objections at that point — mindful of what such disputes may portend for comity between the states. There is, however, no way the Supreme Court is going to entertain Texas’s lawsuit. There is also no way, I suspect, that [Texas Attorney General Ken] Paxton doesn’t know that.

UPDATE: And now the Supreme Court has said that Texas lacks standing. I've put up a new post — here.

Alito and Thomas said they would not grant Texas relief. The dissent only dealt with hearing the case.

Bruce, fraud was plastered all over it. The left is proud of it. Somebody predicted that they would be bragging about it in a few months.

I don't care. We left California and my kids are planning to leave when they can. Even the lefties are thinking about leaving.

Now, we have to figure out how to keep the left from poisoning the refuges. Inga can stay in WI, Howard can stay in Mass. What we don't want is an influx of lefties, like the ones flooding into Austin TX, to ruin everyone else's lives. Kurt Schlicter, in his books suggests a requirement for military service for citizenship. That would work.

Oh, you're going have a little wash and brush up, are you?

I assume you mean something but pure lefty talk, like Valley Girl, is hard for normals to decipher.

Did you forget you live in Arizona? Trump lost Arizona. Or are you now going to move to Texas? Anyway thanks so much, I’ll stay in WI for sure.

1. Republicans had better start fighting like maniacs against any and everything the dems try to accomplish, from naming post offices on up. Comity and "trying to find common ground" with dems is bullsh*t from this point forward. If Republicans want to"go along to get along", we need another political party.
2. Screw 'em ... let's secede.

AZ is pretty safe. The lefties went back to CA once they had stolen the election. Now, we will see if they can accomplish anything. I doubt it. Yes, you stay as far from AZ as you can.

Howard, if you want anyone to understand what you say, stop talking Valley Girl.

For someone who does not argue with lefties Michael K responds to them an awful lot. Just sayin'.

Democrats now proven too lazy to vote in person.

Why waste your time when somebody else will do it for you?

"If Republicans want to"go along to get along", we need another political party."

The GOP is completely fractured. The GOPe/NeverTrumper/Uniparty axis vs. The Trump Party. The Trump Party will be forced to wander in the wilderness for years unless they can successfully infiltrate and take over the GOP from the ground up. It's a tall task.

The question is what Trump does next. Go away or forge ahead with funding a rival political apparatus that aims to get populist R's into office. Funding continued rallies and media and keeping the pressure up.

I'm sure SDNY will be taking him to court as soon as he is out of office over tax stuff or whatever they think they can dig up on him.

Trump should also actively fund blue-dog-style Democrats.

Well, you know the law. And I know statistics. And this election was rigged. And it probably signifies the end of free, fair elections in this country....until we shoot our way back into them. And that is going to be a bloody mess. I expect it to be the end of the US as we have known it.

What he should do is found and lead a movement to demand national electoral reform, by Congressional mandate, or even Constitutional Amendment if necessary.

- All voting done in person, after showing a photo id. (Absentee ballots only for the military and diplomats serving overseas. These must be notarized)

- finger dipped in indelible ink after voting

- paper ballots, bubble in style (we've all used those in school)

- ballots counted in public, with media and witnesses present. (live internet feeds)

- voter registration rolls purged every twenty years. Everyone must reregister.

We told you before the election that what would be indistinguishable from fraud would actually be perfectly normal and legit. Therefore, all that stuff that looks exactly like fraud was in fact perfectly normal and legit, and you're crazy to think otherwise.

Yeah. That's persuasive.

Trump will leave the Whitehouse poorer than when he entered. Name the last Democratic president to do so.

Sure. Go with that. Now that graft is flowing your way again.

Anyone have a recollection of what the NYT and a consortium of newspapers did with the Bush v. Gore results from 2000? They manually counted the ballots and concluded that a recount of the full state would not have changed the results. Seems that this was not reported until well into 2001, and then on the back pages. Since that time, the newspaper industry has bled a lot of cash. Maybe they can get MSNBC and CNN to kick in some cash this time.

Yes, NR, that was the obvious cover they relied on when they prepared what ended up being a massive cheat.
