It does cause his antagonists to retweet his retweeting... Where did you dredge up Patterico? He was a good read for a while, but went off the rails pretty comprehensively when Trump was elected.
There seems to be an internet archetype, the Heart Of Darkness blogger who first becomes angry with an annoying commenter or two, and bans them, then slowly declines into a moat-encrusted solitude in which every dissenting voice must be -- and can be! -- suppressed. Obviously, Althouse has avoided this trap, perhaps because she is as interested in learning about other people's ideas as in expressing her own. Does anyone know, does this happen on the Left, or only on the Right? There are no Lefty bloggers in my echo chamber.
