It is always a mistake, while thinking about someone going through a hard time, to laugh a little and to think it is not your problem and they probably deserve it anyway.

By the way, my friends, do not take the vaccine that is being pushed on you by the same halfwit people who wanted the old people dying from the Wuhan flu to die alone, with no human consolation. (There are tens of thousands of such people, who were young in the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, and every single one of them who died alone, without a single loved one nearby, without a single human touch in their last moments of agony, without a single kind look except form a nurse dressed in extraterrestrial level plastic - every single one of them suffered needlessly because of the halfwits in our midst).

Or go ahead and trust the halfwits who told you not to wear a mask before they told you you should go to jail if you do not wear a mask. Go ahead and trust Cuomo and his friends. Go ahead and trust a company that refused to create a vaccine unless they were told they could not be sued for the side effects. Go ahead and trust the selfish old Pope in Rome who abandoned sick old people in their hour of need, because "science" and "progress", go ahead and trust the creepy long-haired liar in Downing Street, go ahead and trust the halfwit governors who want you to inflict that vaccine on your children, who have nothing to fear from the coronavirus. But remember you too, absent comorbidities, have nothing to fear from the coronavirus, but you might have a lifetime of side effects from a vaccine produced by people whose names you do not know and whose names you will never know, because if you ask who they are you will be demolished in court. Remember the people pushing the vaccine are the same people who would have put you in jail if you wanted to spend a few moments with a dying relative. They will destroy you and call you a liar if you suffer lasting side effects and you try to find out why. And remember they have not tested for side effects. And remember they lied and told you not to buy masks, just nine months ago, and they have lied about many other things. But go ahead and trust them to stick you with a needle filled with a substance that they will never let you find anything out about.

Have a nice day, remember God loves you, and remember there are people who care about you.

So hopefully Congress can get budget resolution and stimulus package passed by Wednesday, when first family head sto Palm Beach for vacation.

POTUS returns Jan 3 with new Congress. Senate 51-48 with Perdue seat vacant. Run-off Jan 5. Will results be final and new Senators sworn in by next day. Seems doubtful. Electoral college results go the Congress that day. Objection assured in House. Senate?

Then 2 weeks to Inauguration.

Nothing personal, Mr Cook. "Understanding women" is not a skill that helps you with women - why would they want to be around a guy with that skill, when there are so many other guys with more useful skills? Seriously, most people do not really want to be understood. It is sort of embarrassing, or even uncanny, to "be understood", if you know what I mean.

Still, why would you needlessly insult two people who obviously are a loving couple? I don't get it. I mean, I have no respect for Jimmy Carter, but I don't think I would say his wife doesn't love him.

Does a guy with 3 wives understand women?

When you are a billionaire who is not physically repulsive, why would it matter to you if you understand women or not?

For the record, the Bible teaches us that none of us understand each other, and that, because we all are foolish in our hearts, we need to treat each other the way the Lord God teaches us how to treat each other. I reckon the Book of Proverbs has the most direct advice, but I might be a little too partial to that wonderful book, because my favorite chapter in any book in the whole wide world is Proverbs 8 : you might find more useful advice elsewhere.

Yes, this had me wondering, when Rush said last week that China was *exporting* coal to the US.

Does not compute. We have more than 350 years worth of coal, even assuming it's eventually phased out by other energy sources. WE export coal.

Why would China piss off and freeze its own populace and throttle down its economy in favor of a low-value, low-profit commodity?

Here’s how to fuck with the woke crowd if he does leave office:

A week or so before the inauguration, Trump resigns.

Pence then resigns and Candace becomes the first black female president in history.

Kamala’s entire ‘first’ schtick goes up in smoke and exposes the entire race-baiting garbage for what it really is.

While I do think Melania comes off as rather frigid, she certainly never did not do anything to justify the absurd personal attacks leveled against her. But I still don't think the abuse rose to the level of unadulterated loathing and detestation a lot of right-wingers had for Michelle Obama. Sadly both were predictable given the partisan derangement dynamic in the country. Laura Bush, though, managed to avoid it. She's still my favorite first lady and seemed to effortlessly combine elegance and grace with warmth and approachability.

Of course, if I had my druthers, the "first lady" title and position would be retired. From the obsession with their fashion to the expectation that they pick a pet cause, the whole thing reeks of royal cart socialites.

Humperdink said...

@Farmer: Michelle O has earned the right to be detested. Recall her famous statement: "This is the first time I have been proud of my country". This from a lady who has been handed everything in her life, including a high paying job at a hospital. A lady who has been glamorized on every magazine cover.

What has Melania done to deserve the vitriol bestowed upon her? The lady speaks five languages and yet was mocked by the left for her accent.

False equivalency.

First of all, you’re wrong on the facts. Quite clearly the level of abuse sent towards Melania was at least as great as anything leveled against Michelle Obama. And, second, Michelle Obama abused her position, first with her wildly unpopular (among its alleged beneficiaries!) school lunch program, and again with ridiculous expensive vacations at taxpayer expense, thus earning the contempt she received. Melania did nothing to earn hatred, besides being beautiful, having superb taste, and loving this country. Terrible sins of one is an ugly, tasteless, biddy, as so many female Democrats so clearly are.

This is so silly, I wonder if R/V got access to your keyboard. Michelle began with her "the first time I've been proud of my country" and it went down from there. It got so she actually had some sort of press event to deny that "she is an angry black woman."

To punish Australia for resisting the Chinese attempt tp take over. The idiots in Victoria have banned the use of coal for electricity generation for "Green Power" which left them with blackouts last summer. They have been exporting that coal they won't use to China.

About Swalwell and the media;

I do not understand the complaints that “liberal media” hasn’t covered Swalwell and the Chinese spy investigation.

Here’s the Washington Post, on December 11:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/12/11/what-we-know-about-rep-eric-swalwells-ties-an-alleged-chinese-spy/%3foutputType=amp

Here’s NPR, on December 18:
https://www.npr.org/2020/12/18/948210355/fbi-briefs-reps-pelosi-mccarthy-on-rep-swalwells-ties-to-suspected-chinese-spy

Forbes, Newsweek and Business Insider all have reported the story. Snopes confirmed the fact of a 2012 photo showing Swalwell and Christine Fang posed together at a formal event.

Then, there is the entire world of right-wing media; the Wall Street Journal, National Review, the Washington Times and the Washington Examiner. Dozens of other right wing outlets, blogs, radio programs. And now, at least three wildly pro-Trump cable news channels. Anyone who wants news on Swalwell has no trouble finding it. I share the curiosity about an apparent decided ignorance of the Swalwell story on the part of the New York Times. It might well say something about the Times’ editing but nothing about the national news environment in terms of what information is available to the public.

But seriously; where did ai defend Swalwell? Point out one single sentence that I wrote which defended Swalwell. To the contrary, I noted that the New York Times might be Open to criticism for apparently and inexplicably not covering the story.

No; my real point was to fact check the commenter(s) who claimed that the national media and particularly the Washington Post had ever mentioned the story. They have.

And you didn’t get it. Because you are such a lazy thinker and so wrapped up in your cocksucking Trump cultism. You can’t even see the excesses of Trumpism anymore. You just reflexively react to anything you think might be any-Trump. And so in that process, you’ve gotten stupid. You’re not even a good advocate for conservatism anymore. You’re not much of a competent advocate for anything when all that you do is murmer chitchat with other credulous Trumpists.
