"It makes strategic sense that the Biden campaign would not draw attention to the bundlers who have helped him turn a lagging fundraising operation into a surprising powerhouse."

"Biden has worked to position himself as the candidate with the interest of the working and middle classes in mind, giving himself the nickname 'Middle-Class Joe,' and casting the general election 'as a campaign between Scranton and Park Avenue.' The Biden campaign has tried to draw focus to its small-dollar, online fundraising operation, rather than the celebrities, Silicon Valley billionaires, and Wall Street executives.... That’s an especially important task for Biden given that many of these characters are prone to draw the scorn of the left, which is already skeptical of Biden and wants to see big campaign contributors play a smaller role in politics."

If Biden loses, especially if he loses bigly, it will definitely show that his fountain of money wasn't from the "little people". It'll just be one more lie that the Democrats told & the media covered for. I think there's precious little chance that the Biden campaign will be investigated, unfortunately.

Lefties are opposed to big money in politics. Unless it's big money given to them.

Biden says that many families have been sitting around their dining-room tables and worrying about how to make ends meet.

Members of such families should go get jobs on the Board of Directors of Ukrainian natural-gas companies. That is what the Biden family has done.

Everyone knows that it is the corporate barons and billionaires giving money to Biden. They own the media and the corporations that are censoring opponents of The Party.

His other constituency is welfare recipients.

His whole candidacy is a war against the working class for the benefit of Corporations that want to manufacture things in China and ship it here.

The voters didn't deserve to know.

However, with that snark out of the way, it has been obvious for the entire time that Biden is the choice of the very wealthy and Trump the choice of the less so when it comes to campaign donations- it is why Biden waited so long to confirm it.

I personally think all that money raised by Biden has been wasted- he appears to have spent almost all of it on television ads- ads that almost no one watches any longer, and aren't even effective when they are viewed. This was the great lesson of both 2012 and 2016- Romney wasted vast sums on ads, too, along with Shelob. I haven't seen or heard a single Trump television ad this entire campaign- but the truth is that I have mostly stopped watching commercials of any kind on television- if I haven't streamed it or recorded it, I don't watch it.

I imagine, and I have a limited imagination, that had any other candidate at any other time operated as the Biden campaign has, the press would be demanding answers. Now, not so much.

If you've ever wondered how it feels to toss someone's salad for money, (with syrup, not jelly), as a journalist covering the Biden campaign how he or she likes his/her/their job.

Unable or unwilling to understand that Trump has been a boon to their dying industry, they dig their own graves.

Anyone who is surprised by this is a naive idiot.

But then, our corporate media does create a lot of those.

Sorry, is there any evidence that Joe "turned," "worked," or "disclosed"? Like, did he, himself, do anything?

The vast majority of the ads I see are Biden ads. Trump is under-spending the Democrats on ads, just like last time, and I think that's smart. If one of these ads changes your mind about which of these candidates to vote for, you shouldn't vote. They seem to be directed at the base telling them what they want to hear and are already sold on. That's a bad way to spend money.

Bundling from China. We all know.

In other words but for the mega donors Biden wouldn't have raised much money from the average Democrat voter. Hillary outspent Trump 2 to 1. At some point if the product stinks more money in advertising won't help. Trump has been outspent 2 to 1 and mostly from non mega donors. Wednesday we shall see if the super mega donors made the difference.

It makes strategic sense to hide where your money comes from, especially if you got something to hide like world class hypocrisy. Trump voter would not be surprised by this revelation, because we don't get our news from CNN, MSNBC, or the NYT. We just have better information than the rest of you, mostly because we don't like the taste of bullshit.

The Biden Campaign claims to have received donations from 4.7 million unemployed people.
That is commonly known as bull shit.

Still, it is a nice way to launder foreign campaign money.
Which is nice.

Look nobody cares if Biden is corrupt, or incompetent, or has been bought off by China, or can't fulfill the office of the President or any of that stuff. The MSM and the Democrats only pretend to care, when its the R's who have those problems.

Democrats - especially their average voters - just want people with (D) after their name in office. How they act or what they do is IRRELEVANT to the average D. If you're puzzled why people so stupid and apathetic hate Trump so much, its quite simple....the Democrat party leadership and the MSM tell them to hate Trump. So they do.

I think that the reason they made Russia the villain in this little propaganda play of theirs is that Russia makes a nice bogeyman while China is where the real money comes from, or as Hunter calls it (China Inc.). The best graft you can hope to get out of Russia is your take on selling weapons to countries on its border. You know, like Ukraine.

Except the odd money laundering deal that you might be able to scare up for the Mayor of Moscow’s wife, to circumvent the sanctions we put on them. Hunter is probably the most ambitious crack head on the planet, to be honest.

All that money just means wasting resources in places that cannot matter in the election.
Diminishing marginal returns in the places that do matter.

And knowing which side the monied interests are on was never hard.
Working class and formerly Democrat voters knew they were getting the short end of the stick.
And that's part of the reason support for Trump has not wavered.

https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1323329137734397954.html

And Trump is outperforming everywhere.
He is ahead of 2016 everywhere.
And he will gain several states that he did not win in 2016.

Somebody has been saying that for months.

At the last election I finally said out loud that I thought Trump would win. I had come to understand what he was trying to do and I could feel around me that others were making the same discovery and I knew that this phenomenon was flying under the radar and was so widespread I thought he'd win. This year I didn't have that feeling until quite recently. After four years of strife, people seemed set in their ways. Then I began to feel that minorities were coming to understand what Trump was trying to do and that once again this change was coming in under the radar. I feel that Joe Biden picked up on it in his own confused way and that's why he felt the need to say: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black." He meant that people WERE having a problem figuring out who they were for, i.e., the Last Loyal Bloc was cracking just as the Blue Wall did last election. Unfortunately for Biden, he wasn't mumbling made that day. What he said was heard. And, moreover, he didn't want to do anything about what his political instincts were telling him. When you've been bought by China you don't want to say anything to make them feel they overpaid, in case they ask for a refund.

We'll see.

Have you voted yet? Seems like a lot of folks have (I have), but tomorrow is actually Election Day. Don't miss it. It's your last chance. If you have any trouble figuring out who to vote for, just ask on this thread. Then, whoever the idiots recommend (unless you're VERY new here, you've figured out who the idiots are), vote for the other guy (his name is Donald J. Trump and he's on the Republican line; while you're at it, you might as well vote for the rest of the Republicans -- yeah, some of them are idiots too, but the odds will be in your favor).

“And 50% of Act Blue money is untraceable. The Clintons pioneered getting Chinese money this way and Obama turned into an art form.”

He thing we do know about ActBlue money is that that is where a lot of the BLM money went. We have known that for months. Billions spent by big companies, billionaires, and close, to support people who were burning down our inner cities, encouraged and facilitated by Dem politicians. And much of that money apparently ending up in Biden’s campaign. 501(c)(3) and probably 501(c)(2) money that somehow ends up in the pockets of 527 political campaigns and PACs.

If Trump wins, some of how the Dems are doing this will ultimately come out. But one of the things that Crooked Hillary taught us, is that if the corruption and illegal election spending is big enough, and esp if the illegal money flows through the DNC, they can do it with impunity. We have known for better than three years now how at least one of her illegal bundling schemes worked, and made her campaign over $100 million. And no one was ever made to pay the price. (The trick was for bundlers to give to a coordinating committee, which split it up between 43 state parties, back to the DNC, then Crooked Hillary - It would have been legal if uncoordinated. But It wasn’t, with accounts for all the organizations at the same bank, and one person authorized by all the organizations to just move the money around between accounts at that bank). The FEC has had the complaint for three years now, and done nothing with it, because Chuck Schumer has prevented them from having a quorum.

The thing to keep in mind here is there just are not enough big donors on the Dem side to stay competitive if their donors stay within legal limits for campaign contributions. Legally, centa billionaires like Bezos can only give the same $2,700 that the rest of us do. Ditto for the rest of the Dems big donors. And they don’t have very many middle class donors, while their welfare recipient base can’t really afford to contribute at all. They have to cheat to stay competitive, because otherwise the middle class Republicans will massively out raise them. They inevitably have to figure out new and innovative ways for their mega donors to deliver much more than the legal $2,700 per person to their campaigns.

Dr K - a lot of the money behind Mark Kelly is, no doubt gun control money (since he is obviously the brains behind his brain damaged wife’s gun control campaign). The problem, again, is likely that a lot of that money is probably 501(c)(3) and (c)(4) money, which shouldn’t be being used to push his candidacy.
