"Mr. Biden was given ample opportunity to deny the authenticity or facts of the Bobulinski information at Thursday’s debate; he didn’t..."

"... A call to Hunter Biden’s attorney was not returned by our deadline. All of this is news. The press corps that is ignoring it spent four years writing about Donald Trump’s Moscow business. The correspondence meanwhile blows up Rep. Adam Schiff’s claim that the Hunter story is Russian 'disinformation.' It raises real concerns about what security risks Hunter might pose for a Biden administration. And it raises questions about Joe Biden’s involvement. The former vice president is running on trust and good judgment. The Hunter tale is at best the story of a wayward son and indulgent father. At worst, it is an example of the entire Biden clan cashing in on its name with a U.S. rival...."

From "The Biden ‘Family Legacy’/What we learned from the text messages of Hunter’s partner Tony Bobulinski" by Kimberley Strassel (Wall Street Journal). No paywall encountered. Lots of detail about what's in the texts — too much to cut and paste.

The point of the media/social media embargo/blackout was to get Biden the "moderate" Trojan horse to the finish line. Maybe it was their preference to have Harris take over anyway?

Anyway, beside the privileged crackhead loosing his laptop, the amazing thing the establishment media's humiliating obtuseness is the degree to which public sources laid out this whole scheme.

First, it is almost exclusively taken from public sources and documentation. Everything from Chinese news reports to corporate records. The report is immaculately cited so that anyone who wishes to replicate where a specific piece of information was found or see the underlying documentation can do so.

Jaw-Dropping Report Details Chinese State-Owned Company's Partnership With Biden, Kerry Families

According to Christopher Balding, Associate Professor at Peking University HSBC School of Business Shenzhen – who notes that he did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and will not be voting for him this year – who reviewed the report before publication:

I did not write the report and I am not responsible for the report. I have gone over the report with a fine-tooth comb and can find nothing factually wrong with the report. Everything is cited and documented. Arguably the only weakness is that we do not have internal emails between Chinese players or the Chinese and Bidens that would make explicit what the links clearly imply.

There is enough information there now that we know Biden is a security threat. If not through his direct involvement then through his son. How much do you have to hate Trump to vote for that? And everyone knows it is just the tip of the iceberg. You think foriegn actors don't have tons more info that could be used as blackmail? You're an idiot.

At this point the only explanation you can give for a Biden vote is that since he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar he won't do it again. Probably, I guess.

Early this year, Larry David's character on Curb Your Enthusiasm had a plot line where he started carrying a MAGA hat around Beverly Hills, putting it on whenever he wanted to avoid someone. I thought that it was a very perceptive idea: by running away from the hat, they were giving Larry power over them.

It seems now an allegory for the Dems in general: by refusing to even consider the other point of view, they've given power to the party leaders to choose anyone at all to carry the flag for them. Just as you'd expect, the leaders chose who they're comfortable with. The rank and file have nowhere to go, because you can't change your mind that quick.

Hunter Biden: Yesterday, the Wall Street < Journal’s opinion and news pages published contrasting articles about Hunter Biden. In an op-ed, Kimberley A. Strassel, a member of the Journal’s editorial board, suggested, based on information provided by Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter’s dealings in China—but two Journal news reporters, Andrew Duehren and James T. Areddy, subsequently reported that records they obtained from Bobulinski “don’t show either Hunter Biden or James Biden [Joe’s brother] discussing a role for Joe Biden in the venture.” Variety’s Gene Maddaus observes that the conflicting takeaways reflect “ongoing tension” between the news and opinion sides of the Journal; in July, more than two-hundred Journal staffers wrote to the paper’s publisher accusing the opinion side of a “lack of fact-checking and transparency,” and an “apparent disregard for evidence.”

Hunter is an absolute disaster of a human. He is all the things that the left claims about Trump's children and much more. But this isn't really about Hunter.

This is about Joe Biden. It's about foreign powers paying for influence and favortism. It's about a Vice President using his office to enrich himself and his family at the expense of US tax payers and US security. It's about real corruption at the highest levels. It's not based on hearsay or the overhearing of second hand stories. It's not some completely fictional dossier cooked up by wack job sensationalist ex British spy.

"more than two-hundred Journal staffers wrote to the paper’s publisher accusing the opinion side of a “lack of fact-checking and transparency,” and an “apparent disregard for evidence.”

So they are depending on the forty former intelligence officials who admitted in their own letter that they had no actual evidence, but claimed it looked like disinformation. More bullshit.

Like Scott Adams joked: “We know it’s Russian disinformation because they left no trace of evidence that it was disinformation, which is so like Putin.”

Basically the evidence amounts to the fact that it helps Trump, and gadfly would rather ignore the story and vote in a crook subject to blackmail by both China and Russia and the FBI and CIA, than see Trump be re-elected.

Clue to gadfly, Putin wants high oil prices to fund his military. He got Crimea under Obama BIden, why wouldn’t he want somebody to end fracking and drive up the price of oil? It makes zero sense that Putin would want Trump over a pushover like BIden.

Sebastian said...

So, from Readering: "but two Journal news reporters, Andrew Duehren and James T. Areddy, subsequently reported that records they obtained from Bobulinski “don’t show either Hunter Biden or James Biden [Joe’s brother] discussing a role for Joe Biden in the venture.”

Notice what the two liberal reports did not do: They did not ask anyone in the Biden campaign whether the published evidence that refers to Biden is true. The one question that could clear up this whole episode - no one in the mainstream media wants to ask it to the people who could answer it. A straight "no, what that email purports to show is untrue" would put this to bed in an instance.

But mainstream media journalists just keep looking in the wrong places, and then state "well, we didn't find any evidence so it must not be true".

We're on to their games, Readering. A little critical thinking as applied to mainstream media would do you some good.

More news for Gadfly and Chuck and the rest to ignore: Hunter Biden was the go between to allow a Chinese company owned by the Chinese Military to acquire a US company that made military sensitive information.

This is usually in the area of "treason."

I will quote:
In September 2015, the Obama-Biden administration approved the sale of a strategically sensitive Michigan manufacturer, Henniges Automotive, to a firm connected to Joe Biden's son, Hunter, and a Chinese military contractor that was on an American watch list because of its close ties to the People's Liberation Army. Hunter Biden's equity fund, backed by the Communist Chinese government, and the Chinese contractor, Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), needed special approval for the deal from the Committee of Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CIFIUS) because Henniges produced technology with potential military use.
AVIC entities have been sanctioned by the United States on five separate occasions since 1993 and the addition to the watch list--a major red flag--occurred less than a year-and-a-half before they co-purchased Henniges with Hunter Biden's BHR. The fact that CFIUS approved the deal is alarming given that Henniges owns numerous facilities in the United States that are now controlled by a Chinese military front company.
Internal BHR documents show exactly how the Chinese military contractor was able to disguise its ownership via shell corporations and formed a joint-venture with the son of the vice president to facilitate the Chinese takeover of an American dual-use technology supplier. Additional documents suggest that Hunter Biden's Chinese-backed venture funneled money to an entity controlled by Vanessa Kerry, the daughter of then-Secretary of State John Kerry, just one month before CFIUS approved the takeover. At the time, Secretary Kerry played a lead role on the Obama-Biden CFIUS committee.

When news of the AVIC takeover of Michigan-based manufacturer Henniges Automotive hit the wire, Biden's associates celebrated, calling the transaction a "proof of concept" for future Chinese acquisitions.

End quote.

Biden: owned by China. Gadfly: "I love China! At last, a real chance for a communist takeover of America! Vote Biden for Beijing!"

I wanted to see if I could find evidence of mr bobulinski’s assertion that he became aware of the payments made to Hunter Biden, thereby cutting him out of the deal, while reading Ro Jo’s and Grassely’s Senate report on Hunters corruption. The aforementioned transfer of money is detailed on the bottom of page 78 of the report. There is an unbelievable amount of transactions and business entities associated with the Biden family and their Chinese counterparts listed between pages 71-84. Many of these transactions were flagged for potential financial criminal activity. A portion of the conclusions from this section follows:

Then, several years later, Biden and Archer formed BHR with Bohai Capital and received their business license approval in China shortly after Biden visited China with his father, Vice President Biden. Hunter Biden’s connections and financial associations appear to have accelerated significantly after he associated himself with Ye Jianming, who had deep connections with the Communist regime and PLA. However, that didn’t seem to have any impact on Hunter Biden, who made millions from the relationship. Indeed, Hunter Biden and his family, to include James and Sara Biden, associated with other Chinese nationals such as Gongwen Dong. In one case, the three of them went on a $100,000 global spending spree after Gongwen Dong and Hunter Biden opened a joint account. In addition, Hunter Biden received millions of dollars over a period of years from Gongwen
Dong’s companies. According to records acquired by the Committees, many of these transactions involved potential criminal financial activity

Coupled with the fact that he talks about holding the interest for Joe, this indicates that these arrangements were well thought out to avoid unnecessarily raising red flags, particularly on the tax side - where many a clever corrupt pol has been caught.

Yes. The Bidens have been taking bribes from our worst geopolitical enemies for years. And then, like Crooked Hillary, working with them to transfer critical defense technology to these enemies. It is bad enough that they push policies that benefit these geopolitical foes. But enabling the transfer of critical defense technology is just as bad.

Why is that anywhere near acceptable? Crooked Hillary, along with Joe, Jim, and Hunter Biden should be strung up on the nearest light pole for knowingly accepting bribes from geopolitical enemies, and then working for these enemies, and against our country and it’s enemies. When, in political office, as Crooked Hillary and SLO Joe were, it was literally treason (working for another country to betray your own). It is really a horrid state of affairs that the last two Dem Presidential candidates accepted substantial Russian and Chinese bribes, advocated policies that benefitted those countries, at our expense, and facilitated the transfer of restricted military technology and materials to these countries, while in their last political office (Clinton as Sec of State and Biden as VP).
