Things not garnered.

Via "Trump USAID appointee unloads as rocky tenure ends/The deputy White House liaison at the aid agency blasted Democrats and her colleagues for what she called 'rampant anti-Christian sentiment'" (Politico).

Is the point just the use of a word you do not prefer?

We don't seem to be sending a consistent message. We're pretty tolerant of favored nation status for a country that's big on genocide...

"Rampant Anti-Christian sentiment"

That would be not a surprise if true.

But, that a yuuuuge chunk of the rest of the world is resistant to the European/American gospel of LGBTQWhatever liberation is a fact beyond denial. Catholic South America seems to have adjusted with surprising ease, but in Christian & Muslim Africa, Hindu & Muslim India, and the Muslim world in general, our celebration of what is considered not only sinful but unnatural sexual deviancy is considered proof of just how insane we've become.

It's just one more example of how Western Lefty "openness" is just about what kinds of "openness" Western Lefties value, not really any sort of understanding & sympathetic encounter with "Cultural Otherness".

A real life example of this Third vs First World battle of values is being fought out in the Episcopal/Anglican Church as we speak.

Meanwhile, Russia and China are happy to step in and eat our lunch

That's not really explained, the article seems to have mostly repeated the supposedly X-phobic quotes of some people They don't like, e.g.

"Islam, calling it a “barbaric cult", then different person says,
"I’m not cis-anything. I’m a woman."
"US-funded Tunisian LGBT soap operas aren’t America First."
“our homo-empire couldn’t tolerate even one commercial enterprise not in full submission to the tyrannical LGBT agenda.”

How come I'm an atheist but mostly agree with Christians? (Except for the actual religious stuff)

USAID is simply a part of the bloating of the federal government, an extension into areas beyond its rightful mission, a Kennedy-era program of benevolent imperialism. It doesn’t matter if the director is conservative, Christian, gay or cis-y. It exists simply as mission creep, and is probably dedicated primarily to its own survival. Even if done “right”, what good does it garner?

Well, crap. I was going to just scroll past, but I got snared by the US-funded Tunisian LGBT soap operas.

What they do.

USAID is the world's premier international development agency and a catalytic actor driving development results. USAID's work advances U.S. national security and economic prosperity, demonstrates American generosity, and promotes a path to recipient self-reliance and resilience.

I think Ivanka Trump does it correctly.

I was long opposed to Gay marriage as being a dilution of the polarity of man and woman. Then I started studying and believing in reincarnation. As mortals we are unable to judge accurately the deep connections between peoples. We can only make them loved. If two gay people want to get married love them for it. Its a hard lesson.

Mother nature will judge best anyway.

Night copied USAID's bull shit organizational statement.
What sad gobbledygook written by a 28 year old.

There is no evidence that it has done any good, beyond graft and make-work at a good salary.
But a good scam all the same.

It would seem that Democrats believe that all countries must conform (immediately) to the same social standards as the US. I can't wait to see the next Democrat President's foreign policy. Outside of western Europe, we won't have any allies left.

She's right. Women are not men are not women, are distinguished by sex-correlated gender attributes. Trans (i.e. state or process of divergence)/homosexuals and Feminists before them have lead confusion and contortion with the Twilight faith and Pro-Choice quasi-religion under the Progressive Church's sanction and Democrats' exercise of liberal license to indulge political congruence. That said, with a separation of Church and State, couples, couplets, and others now [selectively] excluded, would be able to form unions without religious or quasi-religious judgment and labels. Interesting. Normalize, tolerate, or reject? Lose your Pro-Choice religion. #PrinciplesMatter

And these bitter clingers are being colonized and reeducated with the best of intentions and a scalpel held to their collective outlook. Perhaps when the Republic falls, the leftists will rise again, and establish their Utopia long garnered. Let us bray for these mortal gods and goddesses.

Just so we are clear, is the "lived experience" of a Christian who believes they are persecuted for their faith to be believed? Or not?

How should we treat other "lived experiences" in this context?

Please show your work.
