"He is definitely the only guy in my life whom I ever call ‘honey.'"

Wrote President Trump in "The Art of the Deal," quoted in "President Trump’s brother Robert dies after hospitalization in NYC" (NY Daily News).
“Robert, who is two years younger than I am, is soft-spoken and easygoing, but he’s very talented and effective,” Trump wrote. “I think it must be hard to have me for a brother, but he’s never said anything about it and we’re very close. He is definitely the only guy in my life whom I ever call ‘honey.' Robert gets along with almost everyone, which is great for me, since I sometimes have to be the bad guy."

And yet, the haters are out in force claiming the wrong Trump died. It is despicable....Wapo has a sweeter headline for al-Baghdadi, than they did for Trumps brother. How they can live with their hate, is beyond me.

What wendybar said. And you know they are hoping for that undisclosed illness to involve Covid because it would serve the President right for his utter failure to the pandemic.

It is so hard to lose a sibling. Especially one you are close to. For me, it is a year and a half on, and I still look for her every day, in different ways. Sometimes I do "find my phone" on her location, as if she might suddenly show up again.

I love these small insights to Donald Trump, especially how they show he has a strong sense of self-awareness.

wendybar says it well and I share her wonderment at the hate of the Left and DJT's opponents.

Condolences to the Trump family. RIP Robert.

What Rick and Wendybar said.

The "No Home For Hate" crowd comes out from under their rock.

Totally predictable. And disgusting.

My sympathies Mr. Predsident.

Headlines from Washington Post obituaries:

"Robert Trump, younger brother of President Trump, who filed lawsuit against niece, dies at 71"

"Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic Republic, dies at 48"

Now tell me again who the haters are.

To have so much hate and a complete lack of empathy is more than just a sad thing....it is evil incarnate.

We know the nature and character of those on the anti-Trump Left.

Very tough life loss, losing a sibling. Especially as the family gets smaller, you get older, and you need all the help and support you can gather for what lies ahead of you.

The haters will only make his resolve that much more fierce.

Strictly speaking he wants "that," not "whom."

I did not realize he had another brother. Sad to lose him.

I think that is a very sweet quote in the headline.
It betrays a deep and abiding love between brothers.
And that's not always the way it goes.

It makes me happy to think of that and not to concentrate on the death and loss.

Shows to go you that all you have to do to be respected and loved by DJT is to be an intelligent and good person. It’s no wonder then why the TDS idiots cannot get that treatment from him. Attackers of Trump get attacked. It’s that simple.

Joe Biden wrote a very nice, touching tweet.

Well done, Joe.

Thank-you.

Robert Trump was clearly unwilling to do the sorts of things that garner lefty/lib/dem/LLR-lefty respect.

For instance, becoming a mass murdering islamic supremacist terrorist.

The lefties love those guys. They are still crying over Soleimani.

I was on a NJ case against Trump in the eighties. Leading up to the filing there were extensive dealings between client and both Donald and Robert (and their pre-litigation lawyer Roy Cohn). The interplay was the opposite of the quote. If anything, Robert played bad guy/bigger jerk. Since they operated under dba Trump Organization I assumed they were partners or co-owners. Surprised when came time to draft complaint to learn Donald owned everything and Robert just employee. But they definitely had close business relationship. Continued to follow their NJ business dealings after case ended and then it seemed Robert disappeared from the news almost overnight.

I met Robert Trump a little over 20 years ago at a charity event, and even chatted with him for about 5 minutes. It was only after the end of the conversation that I realized that he was Donald Trump's brother- my date had to pull me aside to tell me that. He was at the dinner table immediately in front of me, and I noted at the time that he was the antithesis of his brother in personality. He seemed like a really nice guy.

Cruz attacks WP obit headline for identifying RT as person who sued his niece (what he will be best remembered for outside friends and family). Perhaps WP should have identified him as Trump Org executive who was barely on speaking terms with his brother the future president for a quarter century.

Is it worth it, maybe to sway one vote, to be such a garbage person as you are?
