"On day one, I’m going to stand the legislative immigration reform bill to Congress, provide a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants."

Said Joe Biden yesterday in a virtual town with the Service Employees International Union (transcript). I'm guessing the transcript is off and he said "send" not "stand," so don't assume it's Biden who's off. Not unless you've studied the video, which you can see in my previous post.

Context:

Joe Biden: (26:24)
Only one way you can fight back power is with more power, and that’s union power. We should unionize McDonald.

Debra Dawson: (26:35)
Unions have to be on the forefront of bringing people together and changing our country.

Bobby Roy: (26:39)
Unions are social justice organizations.

Pamela Owens: (26:42)
Racial justice is a situation that we’ve been dealing with all our lives.

Joe Biden: (26:47)
We can’t leave this moment thinking that we can once again turn away and do nothing. The moment has come for our nation to deal with systemic racism.

Perla Canales: (26:56)
I’m coming this country in 1993 when my husband passed away. I have four children. I has to make a hard decision for better life for my kids. My life is in the finger [sic] or this administration.

Joe Biden: (27:13)
On day one, I’m going to stand the legislative immigration reform bill to Congress, provide a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Bobby Roy: (27:23)
Working people and our families need to be engaged in the civic engagement process.

Vivian Deniston: (27:27)
Something is going to happen. There’s going to be a change. A really good change. It’s going to be Joe Biden.

Gee, newly elected President Trump put that on the negotiating table over three years ago. Democrats were too busy chasing hoaxes to care about immigrants back then...

Just as many have suspected. Is this kind of fawning the substitute for actual questioning? These ass kissing sessions where supporters ask Joe how great he is?

Was that the live stream that had a total of 19 viewers, 26 minutes in?

There are a lot more than 11 million now.

I guess the Democrats have thrown away the fig leaf of actual border enforcement in exchange for amnesty.

Meh. Joe is so boring I cannot even think of something to say. Wait. Maybe I'm boring. Hmm. My wife thinks so. My dog thinks so. Maybe it's me and Joe Biden is actually very dynamic. Maybe Joe is the whirlwind and the fawning socialists are just trying to keep up with him.

Anybody who still thinks there are "ONLY" 11 million illegals here is nuts. There are at least 25 million...if not more. We have been being told that there has been 11 million for 20 years.....

serious question
Jo Biden says that
he wants a National minimum wage, of $15... as a Floor, Not a Ceiling (some areas higher)
he wants McDonalds workers Unionized
he wants McDonalds workers to be able to shop around* to other fast food restaurants
so, My question
What items will remain on the Dollar Menu, if McDonalds is unionized?
Also, how many workers will be replaced by robots?

shop around*
Jo 'thinks' that a McDonalds no compete cause prevents workers from working at Burger King (which never happened), not just other McDonalds (which quit in 2017 7 Fast-Food Chains Will Now Allow Workers To Move Between Franchises )

It is AMAZING all the things Joe says he will do as soon as he gets any political clout. Imagine the things he could have done if he had only spent more time in politics instead of the private sector. What? Oh, never mind...

Biden's dementia, amnesty, higher taxes, riots, endless lockdowns, green new deal, etc, etc. The Democrats are TRYING to lose the election. And they want it to be a blowout. No, they insist that it be a blowout. That scares me. What do they think is coming that they want no part of ?

1990 census estimated there were 11-20 million illegal aliens residing inside the U.S.

Bill Clinton barred the census from estimating illegal aliens from the 2000 census and is now treated like a Constitutional Amendment.

They still use the low end 11 million estimate 30 years later and is treated like a never changing, impossible to alter, fact.

So, congress is going to do nothing about this (or anything) until Biden is elected? And blame their inaction on Trump?

I worked with SEIU reps 40 years ago. They were proud Marxists. The leadership was liberal Democrat, and crooked. It was Chicago, after all.

Those reps are the current leadership of SEIU.

Who are you and why are you reading my mind? I've been chalking it up to the belief that I have no idea what the hell people think these days because the sensemaking apparatus is so badly broken. The things that I've been watching are served up as if by magic from Donald Trump's central casting department. Can you cook up an individual with a lower Q rating than Nancy Pelosi?

On one level my wish is that the November election is not close no matter who wins. My more recent thoughts have been slanted toward the thought that a Trump/GOP blowout would be the signal for open insurrection on a scale we can't contemplate.

We haven't seen explosions. Yet. Not big ones that take down buildings filled with people. That kind of thing. What if some entity begins to operate much like the IRA did in the UK? In my darkest moments I find that more likely than not while surveying the current landscape.

As Reagan before him. It's unfortunate that Democrats and globalists are anti-civil rights and pro-social justice, anti-emigration reform and pro-diversity, and anti-human rights and Pro-Choice... cruel and unusual.

mikee said...

You are concerned with the demented candidate's language, and let slide the Democrat policy of citizenship for all illegal aliens.

There is an epigram for such things. Ignoring the elephant in the room? An 800 pound gorilla sitting wherever it wants? Democrat idiocy run amok again? Yes, that last one is what I was trying to remember.

Asked to elaborate on his position, Sen. Biden blew a stream of saliva bubbles, sniffed the hair of a twelve year old girl, then raised his right hand in a v-for-victory sign and said, "Vootie." CBS, NBC, the NYT, et al, praised him for this articulate, well-reasoned refutation of all Trump stands for.

Responding to Mezzrow at 8:52 AM... Open insurrection? I don’t think so. Unlike past incidents of civil unrest most of these “riots” were fueled by “progressive administrations” sabotaging law enforcement. With no police presence and the Mayor’s blessing the rabble in Madison managed to destroy two statues and inflict facial burns on one of their own. That was the high point of the “Resistance”. Unless you count “Lumber Liquidators” formerly known as State Street.

I suggest the interim government in Portland snatch a few Antifas off the street, drop them off at the Chinese consulate with a note identifying them as escaped Uighur prisoners. This might get the media to notice a real story.

What's prevented him from doing this already?

No, how about no. We know what immigrants did to the North American Indigenous population, indeed have been lectured endlessly about it. It was horrific we're told, accomplished by barbaric invaders. Why would we wish to repeat such an experiment? Madness.

No shit. I work in business immigration - the only place I hear any old school, politically incorrect humor is from my foreign national clients. I will never forget the conversation I had with a middle aged woman from India who asked me one day: "I don't understand why you don't round up all of your street people and tell them they live the 'wrong way' and need to change."

That was the language...'round them up...'

Industrial and craft unions have long been resistant to allowing blacks into their ranks. They only did it when forced to by the courts. The SEIU is the gov union. They represent the people who are assigned to the DMV--in other words women and minorities. Notice I didn't say 'worked' there.
