What makes a guy at the NYT or Facebook or Twatter qualified to tell doctors they are bullshitting about medicine?
Scott Adams has more on Twitter, as does Tim Pool.

B2 is standing his ground at the Judiciary Committee. Opening Jim Jordan played a video of the attacks current on the USA that were similar to SantaAnna’s Army attacking the Americans at the Alamo. Barr is smarter than Dems can handle.

Interesting, Peaked around May 31 to June 6, and has gone down about 84% since then.

And the Riots / Protests they are supposedly causing, have increased since then.

Hmm...

Why no pushback from the host on this comment made by a Milwaukee resident on the murder of the black Trump supporter?

@Ray, officials in Richmond tried to push Inga's line about the violence being caused by white supremacists taking over a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest. No one believes that who doesn't want to be fooled.

Not to cast aspersions on just Democrats of course, they just make themselves obvious targets. Politicians in general are parasites and the vast majority are clueless.

Some, select Black Lives Matter... 16 trimesters and in progress. They need to lose their Pro-Choice, selective, opportunistic religion.

You're supposed to live your life as you see fit. Actions have consequences...we all have to die of something.

The only way to think is the way you do think.

My nephew just got a positive test. Felt fine, quarantined himself, canceled a trip. Still felt fine about 3 days later, so went and got re-tested. Tested negative.

A fine question I hadn't thought to answer. Fed can't even muster an indictment for any one of the countless dossier criminals, so it hadn't occurred to me they might go after crooked criminal mayors...

A group of physicians and researchers went to Washington, DC today to advocate for
the treatment of Covid-19 with hydroxychloroquine + zinc + azithromycin.

A number of copies of this video have been posted to YouTube and Facebook and apparently almost as fast as they are put up YouTube and Facebook are deleting them.

This is horribly, outrageously wrong and I would still think the same thing even if I thought the weight of the evidence was against hydroxychloroquine.

Because this is not the way to do things. Only Nazis should like this sort of thing. And you can identify people as Nazis because they do like this sort of thing. If hydroxychloroquine is a wrong idea then there needs to be a clear explanation as to why it is a wrong idea. That has not occurred. Instead we have a several pseudoscientific papers that do not answer the important questions.

We have a debate where one side is allowed to speak and the other side is censored.

"we all have to die of something.”

True, and we all have our own values and make judgements accordingly. If your “values” are that everybody else can eat shit and die, it’s just something that other people are going to take into account.

Monitor for kinetic symptomatic (e.g. coughing, sneezing) transmission. Mitigate asymptomatic transfer through good hygienic habits. Socially distance from people with masks, which act as collectors. Don't forget your goggles. Monitor for symptoms after, and, if you follow the precautionary principle, or are at high risk (e.g. comorbidities), consult with your doctor to disinfect early in order to reduce viral load/viability and mitigate disease progression.

That’s what people who start wars say: “We all have to die of something.” Unrepentant drunk drivers say it too. "Sorry I killed your wife and crippled your kid, too bad, so sad, we all have to die of something. I think I will have another drink.” People making bio-weapons say it too “We all have to die of something.” Guy who okayed a shortcut airworthiness test on an airliner: “We all have to die of something.” This could go on for some time. You can think of your own. Stalin probably said it more than once.

Trump’s New Favorite COVID Doctor Believes in Alien DNA, Demon Sperm, and Hydroxychloroquine

The president is pushing the coronavirus theories of a Houston doctor who also says sexual visitations by demons and alien DNA are at the root of Americans’ common health concerns

“A Houston doctor who praises hydroxychloroquine and says that face masks aren’t necessary to stop transmission of the highly contagious coronavirus has become a star on the right-wing internet, garnering tens of millions of views on Facebook on Monday alone. Donald Trump Jr. declared the video of Stella Immanuel a “must watch,” while Donald Trump himself retweeted the video.

Before Trump and his supporters embrace Immanuel’s medical expertise, though, they should consider other medical claims Immanuel has made—including those about alien DNA and the physical effects of having sex with witches and demons in your dreams.”

What don't you understand about making your own decisions and not waiting for someone else to make them for you?

My comments had nothing to do with recklessly infecting people. Life is a goddamn risk. I will live mine while you hide in your basement and wait for the government or mommy to give you the 'all clear.'

I'm talking about self-determination and you've turned it into 'he wants to destroy the planet with bio-weapons.'

Wild can go to the wedding or not. Nobody cares that he's too weak to not be able to make a decision on his own.

mandrewa said...

"Before Trump and his supporters embrace Immanuel’s medical expertise,..."

I have laid out the argument for exploring using hydroxychloroquine plus zinc against Covid-19 many times. It does not depend on what Trump said or what this woman said.
People, including me, were making the argument for using hydroxychloroquine before Trump said anything about it.

We still don't have any studies that answer the question of just how well this would work or whether it would work at all because nobody has done the research.

We have retrospective studies and animal studies and in vitro studies and cellular in vivo studies that suggest it would work, but we still don't have human trials that address the real question.

Now I could guess from the moment I saw this women how the left-wing media was going to attack her.

It's a shame. And it all evades answering the real questions. And I think there is a good chance that many people are being killed by that evasion.

So Sandman's lawyer is threatening CNN over Stelter's tweets about the payment. In a sense this looks like a stretch, but if Stelter is tweeting under his CNN byline claims that the settlement was “small” and just to get rid of a “nuisance “ that does look like he, and CNN, are either revealing or pretending. Is that actionable? Question for any law professor, current or former.

I mean, if CNN reported “under $25k” that would surely be a breach or a lie masquerading as a breach. This is not the same thing, because Stelter is tweeting, but it’s similar. CNN encourages us to trust its talking heads.

Please pledge now in front of this blog and the world that you will, under no circumstances, ever take HCQ or its derivatives if you should ever contract Covid. Even if your doctors recommend it and think you might die if you abstain.

And go further, pledge to abstain from any vaccine that might be developed while Trump is in office...

You do understand there is a difference between evidence based medicine and quackery, don’t you? Apparently not. A Covid immunization wont be based on what ever quackery Donald Trump believes in at that moment.

Tru-cons think whatever nasty or pretty thoughts, as you like, you conjure up for them to think doll inside. Is the freedom too much? Did liberty take you too far?

I feel that's only human, feel good about having the chance. Truly CHOOSE to be happy, strive for it, as Max Erhmann wrote 'round Buckley's time.
