I do not wish to alarm you, but there appears to be a submarine approaching the shore. (My concern is that there may be men in Hawaiian shirts preparing to invade)

On a more serious note, there's an excellent article here I found via Twitter. Rod Dreher also blogged about it.: https://newdiscourses.com/2020/06/woke-breaking-point/
"The question to pose, then, is simple enough: What would it take for you to say that the Woke movement has gone too far?"
I think this question should be addressed to every significant Democrat in office, in more particular terms. For example, "Name a statue that should not be torn down." Etc.
I haven't thought too much about the fall of the American Empire. I know it was inevitable. The descent into Presidential candidates who have no business leading 535 sociopaths in Congress, or 300 Million people who produce nothing for export.
A nation of importers, whose sole export is fiat money, to those willing to back it.
As the end-game plays out, I'm only waiting for the arrival of car bombs, and mass burials from warring tribes; Added to the people killed off by the bio-warfare we are under.
People don't realize how much China is propping-up our economy. The current government is doing all it can to alienate it, and force them to pull their trillions out.
I don't know what a Depression is like, or war in Syria, but to hear my parents talk, they both said they wouldn't do War or Depression again, They called their brothers and sisters who died of the 1918 Pandemic as the lucky ones.
As they say: Don't Run, you'll only die tired. Who knows... you might wing a few as you go down.
When Etienne sounds sober as a judge and clutching his pearls, I get really worried for you people. Sounds you're getting ready to leave your container for the spaceship behind the comet. Right now, thousands are getting dressed in matching black shirts and sweat pants, brand new black-and-white Nike Decades, and armband patches reading "Trump's Space Force Away Team"
Re: COVID19, doesn’t # of cases - # of deaths = # of probably immune? (Although for each newly diagnosed case you may have to wait 2-3 weeks to make sure they clear).
My impression is pretty much the same, but I've only spent much time in the downtown area while attending SciPy conventions at the AT&T center on the southern edge of the UT campus. There look to be much nicer places in the outskirts and suburbs. There is also a lot of construction going on these days.
Explain why cases aren’t spiking in New York or DC, senile coot. It’s not the protests as much as it’s opening up to early and idiots like you who think they don’t need to wear facemasks. Yeah they had a lot of riots in Arkansas and Alabama, huh?

I am curious to see how such experiments turn out. I am eager to see numerous blue cities abolish police actually.
But if you live in a blue city you should move. The experiment can be brutal on its subjects.

The Reichstag (Congress) burned well before the Jews.
I'm leaning for the Moslems to take over, because they hate everybody.

Riots in the cities affected. Inga stupid.
Most cities can cut their police budget, because the county police have the people to move in and take over.
