"Did it say, oh, you need thanks also? Sorry, I forgot you. I want to tell you thanks..."

I attempt to answer Meade's question whether I got his texted link to something about Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway. Meade said: "You got it."

Here's the thing — a blog post by David Blaska, "Mayor Satya tries to make nice with police."

"Mayor Satya tries to make nice with police."

I'm thinking the police should adopt a gesture that would symbolize their plight, similar to taking a knee, that they could insist on before listening to any left-wing city officials.

What comes to mind is "bend over and go fuck yourself".

In Philadelphia, Mayor Kenney is under fire from the Left for having given the Police a new contract and a raise last year. Also, his proposed new budget includes no cuts in the Police budget and layoffs in other areas.

The professional Left is going nuts. Philadelphia is a majority minority city and getting moreso each day. Kenney is an idiot of near DiBlasio proportion, but is cagey enough to realize that normal Black people do not want fewer police on their streets. They see the danger that they are under from the thugs that surround them every day.

I predict that the Left will tear itself apart over this issue. Liberal left suburbanites on one side versus real people on the other.

Hey, many of you have been injured. My words have planted a thousand seeds of hatred against cops. But now the protestors are burning things outside of the plantation.... I mean the area of disadvantaged individuals.

I need the brave men and women in blue to arm up and stand between me and angry voters.

I would understand if we suddenly had an epidemic of blue flu. I imagine the only reason some cities haven't seen this is because the police don't want to leave their fellow officers understaffed at a riot. (If it has happened, it's wisely not being publicized.)

I hereby apologize to all groups of stupid, violent people, regardless of race: Sorry that it sucks to be you.

Whatever Satya Rhodes Conway Shitforbrains says, goes. After all, the people of Madison voted for her, and you need to take the good along with the bad. Sorry, about all of the ugly, but you deserve it.

Your mayor is the spitting image of W.C. Fields. As I read Blaska's transcript I heard Fields' voice, intonation and delivery.

Identity politics -
Democrats haven't been willing to address issues with the public unions, which results in "bad apples" not being removed when they should. And they have refused to speak up against the radical left. Now they have to pick if they are going to support the police or support the radical left.

I tend to agree. But that is also why I'm beginning to think that if there must be riots, bring them to the suburban areas.

For the sake of unity, of course.

Remember when BLM last jumped the shark? It was when they began blocking highways where the white guiltees were made late to work or lunch. It was when BLM people stood in trendy restaurants yelling at patrons.

So, hell yeah, loot those over priced clothing stores in suburban malls. Burn every one of the conveniently located Starbucks around your home. A Vente Thai Chi Tea is little enough sacrifice for the cause. Make those housewives hear the sounds of rioting approaching their homes Homes where little Chrystal and Hunter (the 3rd) lay asleep in the beds that are not so safe anymore. No pun intended suburban whities, you need some skin in the game.

I've always thought that Black Lives Matter approach will make the relationship with the police worse.

First, every suspect stopped by the police has a choice of submit, flee, or fight. With BLM emphasis on "all police are bad" rather procedures to root out bad cops, the percentage of submit goes down and the percentage of fight or flight goes up - this leads to more incidents and potentially more deaths.

Second, the "all cops are bad" approach has has undoubtedly increased the random and planned violence towards police men and women. From cursing them out, to throwing rocks, to actually shootings, peaceful protects, arrests, and even ambush attacks have decreased the police's perceived safety and real safety. Killing random cops in the name of BLM is not going to improve anything - in the end, this leads to more police paranoia.

Third, with the obvious dangers of getting involved and the risks of something going wrong, the police will be less proactive, leaving these communities to the tender mercies of the criminal element. Even if they do something right, a complaints that may not be justified can cause problems. The good people in the community will suffer.

Fourth, good men and women will be less likely to want to join the police - why take the risks that are now obvious? You can be shot when you did nothing - the admission standards will have to be lowered and you'll get more marginal cops.

What could the BLM do? The object is to separate the good from the bad. Body cameras help. If BLM want the police to condemn bad behavior by theirs, should condemn bad behavior by their own. Trayvon Martin and Micheal Brown were not total innocents - admit their misdeeds and encourage others not to commit them. Body cameras, car cameras and an impartial review of same will help identity who is misbehaving. Emphasize the submit in encounters, you can always deal with problems later. Another weird idea is a method of awarding "good cop" insignia to police that have interacted well with others as a method of telling the stopped, protesters, and arrested don't escalate.

The problem is that this is a highly emotional issue - emotions can be counter productive. Looting and rioting and giving cover to Antifa violence is more counter productive. Having white people beat their chest in penance does nothing in the end. Doing the slow, patient but effective things is hard.

Satya looks a bit like Rush Limbaugh but with big blubbery implants.

“All actions against racist state violence are justified.”

Then I suggest we hang anyone who supports identity politics, which is founded on the concept that race determines ideology, and that the state must determine everyone's race to treat groups of people differently on the basis of skin color.

One coule eliminate 90% of all actual racism in the US by denying government and academia the ability to note anyone's skin color.

Rush doesn’t need implants.

I think the police should release a statement supporting the protests.

Then list the addresses of all the offices and homes of City officials that support the riots and say: "Fair game."

… perhaps those feelings of fear and vigilance ...

“Vigilance,” now there’s a good word. With police ordered to stand down, perhaps the white, Asian, and Latin citizens of Dane County need to form a Committee of Vigilance, which is the traditional American response when law enforcement is unable or unwilling to do its job. Just a historical observation.

Thanks Mayor & Woke Madisonites, us Hicks out in the WOW countries now know where to recruit Police officers. Thing is, all Wisconsin public employees (except Milwaukee Co) belong to WRS (Wis Retirement System) so they can move to where they’re appreciated. Plus, we got better schools and lower property taxes, win -win. I tell ya, out here you can’t drive 2-3 blocks without seeing aThin Blue Line Flag.

Jeff, I'm afraid those jobs have been locked up for some time. You want to escape a blue city police job, better learn to code.

It's easy to forget the "thank you"s for every day things.

Thank you, Ann, for this blog.

The people of Dane County elected the progressive trash. Let them suffer the consequences. The cops in Madison should just go on strike and let the mob do it's worse. The cops should also quite offering any protective service the Mayor and other officials. Let the Governor take charge. That's his job. I doubt he will rise to the occasion.
