I stopped watching after the first episode because it moved too slowly—there wasn’t enough material to sustain a series of that length. How could we possibly need a movie about it too?
I was one and done (more like 1/2). Is it really popular or is it one of those fads that creates its own atmosphere because people believe everyone else is participating?
It makes me think Nick Cage is bipolar (of if he isn't he's a better actor than he gets credit for).
It's strange now to remember that Nick once won an Oscar. He appears in a lot of junk because he lost his money and his castle in Germany and his other 14 houses.
With all those mansions, he ought to play a Bond villain, because he's more familiar with the lifestyle than anybody else.
That Nick got the Oscar for playing a hyperdepressed, suicide-obsessed guy supports the bipolar hypothesis.
But that change: one minute Jimmy is hunkered down in his shelter with the doors barricaded against covid zombies (or his kids) and the next he is out in the great outdoors, violating quarantine.

Cage wound up in a huge number of real stinker C-list movies. I don't know what happened to his career.
You'd buy one based on liking the guy and wind up wondering WTF was that.

That one with the flaming motorcycle made up for all his crummy movies by making them seem relatively better.
Fallon appears to be doing an imitation of Andy Samberg imitating Nicolas Cage.
I don't "get" Fallon. I would say its juvenille humor, but I really love juvenille humor. He's like a SNL skit, goes on far to long.
perfct match.
Jimmy seems like a Caged Tiger King... a prisoner of his upper middle-class suburban compound.

Very funny.

Good stuff, considering the limited resources.
