"New High of 90% of Americans Satisfied With Personal Life."

Gallup reports its new "Mood of the Nation" poll.

65% are "very satisfied" — also a new high.

Republicans are happier than Democrats — 93% compared to 86%.

The happiest age group is 18-34 — at 92%.

Yes. Democrat success (well actually, Establishment success) is always dependent on human misery. That’s baked in the ideology. So when supplies are low it’s imperative that they go out and create more.

So weird how just 8 short years ago we were seeing articles about funemployment and Nacypants Pelosi was crowing about unemployed youth having "time for art" without those pesky jobs other slobs have to slog through. Yes it was THE NEW NORMAL and Obama was going to guide us on our soft landing during the Age of Decline.

Suddenly there's optimism. How odd!

So, folks think they're happy under Trump, eh?

Just wait until November when the liberal/lefty bourgeois look longingly at their 401K accounts and wonder how much of that income they want to sacrifice by voting Democrat. If it's Biden or Bloomberg, the values won't fall immediately, and maybe not by much long term. But, any of the others, especially from the "socialist" wing, and the accounts will crater overnight, and it'll be money right out of their pockets.

It'll be a conscience or pocketbook moment.

A few hundred grumps mugging for the camera is hardly representative of the overall mood of hundreds of millions of people. At any rate, it was clearly largely an act. They've all known the outcome of the whole farce since at least November. It's all just a game to them anyway. But even those that may be genuinely experiencing the sadz are probably more worried about their reelection prospects more than anything Trump has done or may do in the future. They couldn't care less about the state of the country.

"New High of 90% of Americans Satisfied With Personal Life."

Now is the time to Make the Personal Political?

The personal is political, also termed The private is political, is a political argument used as a rallying slogan of student movement and second-wave feminism from the late 1960s. It underscored the connections between personal experience and larger social and political structures. In the context of the feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s, it was a challenge to the nuclear family and family values.[1] The phrase has been repeatedly described as a defining characterization of second-wave feminism, radical feminism, women's studies, or feminism in general.

And when every time somebody pulls an asshole move on you, and you almost always see one of those white plates with the red letters...

Though Quebec drivers are pretty bad too, but mostly with them it’s speeding, which is understandable since their province dwarfs Texas.

Rep. Virginia Foxx, a North Carolina Republican and the top minority member of the Education and Labor Committee, slammed the bill. “By incorporating California’s newly enacted, highly restrictive definition of employee, the PRO Act will deprive millions of Americans the opportunity to work independently and start their own businesses," she said.

The PRO Act is a top union priority. "An entire union-busting industry now works nonstop to block workers from exercising the freedom that the law is supposed to protect," AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said at a press conference on Wednesday. "It is not an exaggeration to say this is the most significant piece of legislation that will come before the House this year."

The unions are “starving” and Dem coffers are “starving” from fewer people choosing to be in unions.

So unionize most of the country and think about all those wages taken for union dues that flow right back to the Dems.

There's just a massive disconnect between regular people and politico-media types. Hence, why the much hyped impeachment drama was such a dud. It barely blipped on people's radars.

I think it's because Phony Outrage Fatigue has set it. People are increasingly tuned out and trying to go about their lives. After 3 years of the media and Democrats catastrophizing about Trump the Nazi, they've noticed their lives haven't actually been negatively affected under this administration. Which is not to say they like Trump. They're just tuned out.

Honestly, if Trump could stop committing so many unforced errors, both in rhetoric and in substance, he'd be sitting pretty at 60% approval rating.

A fraction of a fraction... Perhaps longer: "Nature Has Been Removing Excess CO2 4X Faster than IPCC Models" - Dr. Roy Spencer/wattsupwiththat.com

They've been caught sampling between the lines as it were. The models (i.e. hypotheses) require regular injections of brown matter ("tuning") to sustain a consensus with reality. There is strong debate whether the quality of change will have negative or positive effects.

That said, perhaps you mean political climate, which has indeed collapsed. However, the short-term forecast offers cause for cautious optimism.

The difference between Reps and Dems isn't nearly as axiomatic as the difference between rich and poor - and while it doesn't surprise me, it might surprise some Dems.

Neither the rich nor the poor are surprised that the rich are happier than the poor.

"The economy was getting incrementally better under Obama. You can look at the numbers."

Of course. Following a recession it's virtually impossible not to have improvement. It's like trying to stop an opera singer on a swing in mid-return, but it was the slowest recovery in our lifetimes.

Making the kind of improvements we have under Trump is another thing all together. There is no natural pendulum return. You have to make a good thing even better, like the difference between making a car go from 0 to 100 mph compared with making one go from 100 to 200 mph. It's orders of magnitude harder and runs against the natural regression toward the mean of economics. That's why so many have wrongly predicted a recession since Trump was elected. It will happen eventually, but we have gone way past the norm here. Imagine what would have been if we had Trump policy coming right out of the recession.
