Other than being Irving and Gertrude's son, what the hell has Bill Kristol ever done to commend himself to anything?

Any time he has stood on his own, he has proven himself an ass.

Bill Kristol might be eager to embrace the slaughter of millions of innocent babies, the destruction of the family, the repudiation of objective truth (particularly regarding the human person and in all manner of political discourse), an entitled government ethic that thinks that the fruits of your labors and other property belong to the government, and worse, as all being preferable to Trump, but, NO, "we" are NOT all Democrats now.

I watched the game with my wife who was only interested in the commercials and the halftime show. She used to teach Communications and she taught college students about effective ads.

She liked the show mostly because she wants to look like JLo at her age. I thought it was PC, trite and uninspiring.

Most of the ads were clever but totally ineffective. I was a bit more harsh. It seemed like a lot of old SNL skits that went on way after they stopped being amusing. What a waste of money.

I missed the Bloomberg ad which is good because Mrs. Francisco is a fan. She had to admit that the Trump prison reform ad was very smart.

The game was good. I lost $10 to my stepson but wanted the Chiefs to win. Mrs. F still mixes up field goals and extra points, but was really happy to see that SF has a female coach.

Then there was Garrafalo's overthrowing a wide open receiver at the 10 yard line.

But I was glad to see Big Red finally win the big one - after breaking our hearts in Philly for 14 years.

Andrew said...

Great and exciting game! An actual cliffhanger.

Best ad (as someone already mentioned): the revision of Groundhog Day. But I've already forgotten what vehicle was advertised, so it might not be an effective ad for the actual product.

I agree that the halftime show was awful in every way. Pure garbage. And who would let their little kid sing in a choir for such a show?

I remember being surprised by how much I enjoyed Lady Gaga's show in (I think) 2017. At least she showed real talent. But for the most part I've always preferred the shows that are simple and not ostentatious, in which a great singer or band just puts on a good concert. Tom Petty, for example.

Best news of the night: John Kerry's overheard phone call, and vulgar follow up tweet, accidentally sticking the knife in Joe Biden's campaign. (And assuming the story is true, who would be dumb enough to think that a phone call in a hotel lobby on the eve of the Iowa caucus would be private?) Bonus: it's red meat to the Bernie Bros.

Don’t worry. Be happy.

here was no way for Mr. Tong to help. He was more than 60 miles away in Huangshi, which days ago had been locked down by the government along with many other cities in Hubei Province. The roads out of Huangshi and into Wuhan had all been sealed off. For days, Mr. Tong was stuck. Only Saturday, after hours of negotiation with local officials, was he able to make it to his parents’ bedside, he said. They have since been tested for the coronavirus, and his father has been admitted to a hospital. The process took 10 days.

“All I want to do is take care of my parents,” Mr. Tong said. “I don’t even care if I get infected.”

Provocative statement unsupported by facts or precedent which the poster refuses to defend seem like trolling.

Maybe the Chinese government shouldn’t have been tinkering around with bat viruses and they wouldn’t have this problem. But communists consider life cheap, always have. It’s their brand.

No basis for that theory of origin and transmission. But wet markets in 2019 show incompetence of regime.

There’s more.

The deadly animal virus epidemic spreading globally may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory linked to China’s covert biological weapons program, according to an Israeli biological warfare expert.
Radio Free Asia this week rebroadcast a local Wuhan television report from 2015 showing China’s most advanced virus research laboratory known the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Radio Free Asia reported.
The laboratory is the only declared site in China capable of working with deadly viruses.
. - Washington Examiner

IMHO, these unquestioned facts about the Chinese and their interest in deadly viruses lends weight to the papers that have been released that claim that there are HIV insertions into the corona virus. The “wet market” in Wuhan is probably a red herring.

"Of a piece with your Ukraine theories.”

My Ukraine theories are also documented. For examply by White House logs. showing Ciaramella met with the Ukrainian politician whe then released dirt on Manafort from Ukrainian intelligence files along with emails recently uncovered which also link the “whistleblower” to the firing of Shokin, and the simple fact that six months after getting rid of Shokin, who had been causing some real pain for Burisma, they walked free.

This is why you are a troll. You don’t care about evidence.

Of course it is. This form of the virus is clearly designed. But then, I believe the HIV virus was, too.

After returning to China in 2016, Zhou Peng returned to his alma mater to become a little-known young researcher. "In the long run, bats carry the virus without getting sick. It is hoped that humans can learn how to fight the virus, but this is still far from industrialization. Far, the road ahead is long, and we must remain 'super confident' and continue to move forward. "(Reporter Li Jia correspondent Chen teased Li Li intern Luo Yameng)

Maybe it wasn’t bioweapons research, but an industrial accident involving research into creating immunity to viruses in humans similar to those in bats. Either way, the “wet market” story is very likely a load of malarky.

HIV was not a designed virus. The technology did not exist then, for one thing. It likely came from the practice of eating chimpanzees, but who knows for certain.

Okay! I think I get it now! Ol’ Bone Spurs’ Tweet congratulating the great people of the great state of Kansas was PERFECT. Perfect in every way because I don’t know if you are aware but some of Kansas City is in The great state of Kansas, which is part of the name “Kansas City.”

And the only reason to hastily change that PERFECT Tweet to “Missouri is because Missouri is also a great state that many people - many, many people are saying is as great as Kansas, Maybe greater. And there are Chiefs fans all over and in the coming weeks the Administration will be congratulating the many great states with great people, all keeping America great again. Even the haters and losers. In March we will be congratulating the great people of the great state of Nebraska.

Aunty Trump; I don’t think that YOU understand. We Trump haters love to grind on a story like this, not because of substance. It is obviously not a policy matter. And it isn’t even revealing much about Trump that isn’t already known. We already know what a laughable careless dunce he is. What is special about Trump is his complete inability to admit a mistake. Everything he does is perfect and the best. Until it isn’t, and then he lies about it or makes up something new, or just attacks the messenger.

Where normal human beings might admit an error, a personal excess, and demonstrate some personal humility, apology, good humor, whatever; Trump is incapable.

And so when the Trump error is so clear and undeniable, and when Trump’s personal pathology is to deny any error or mistakes, that is when it gets to be so much fun. The enjoyment on my part is directly proportional to the level of denial on the part of TrumpWorld.

Yancey Ward said...

People who grind on such triviality, Chuck, are ridiculous figures. You seem to be of the opinion that it matters to anyone. Let me clue you in- you are doing Trump a favor by grinding on shit like this. That you don't understand this is pretty fucking funny.

Btw; in honor of Kansas, George Conway’s Twitter feed has this morning been more or less dedicated to all of the hilarious geographical nonsense that Trump has spouted since becoming The Leader of the Free World.

Thinking that Ireland was part of the UK.

Thinking that the UK was once “England.”

Pronouncing Nepal and Bhutan “Nipple” and “Button.”

Thinking that Belgium was a city.

Telling the prime minister of India, “It’s not like you’ve got China on your border.” (India has a 2,520-mile border with China.)

And on and on and on.

Yancey Ward; I think that in a great many cases, Trump’s fans aren’t much aware that these things are in fact errors at all. And that is a major part of their not caring that Trump gets them wrong. Which makes Trump right about something; Trump says to his rally audiences that elites are not merely disrespecting Trump, they are also disrespecting Trump’s base. And to some extent, that must be true.

Aunty Trump, that Twitter thread is a lot of educated, emotionally intelligent people having a good time with something that is funny.

In other wort, nothing like Trump or any Trumpists.

Hello friends,
I'm a little ashamed to tell such a story. But I would like to share with you a great resource. I've had problems since my sexual organ was too small. I've been worried about this and tried to rectify the situation by means of pumps and tablets. Because of the tablets, which I ordered, I had complications and I was in the hospital for some time after that I gave up trying to increase my penis. But once I found Dr adam herbal cream. My first result was: plus 3 centimeters after 2weeks of usage. If you want to know more details and how you can enlarge your penis bigger, I recommend you to contact Dr adam today, email address adamokpoko@gmail.com or add him on whatsapp line
