Romney - Kerry what’s the dif? That horse face patrician smug condescending Herman Munster gape: spare me the petty moralizing if you can’t ever see the big picture.
In 1805 Congress impeached Associate Supreme Court Justice Samuel Chase for using excessively partisan political language and general inappropriate behavior on the bench. The Senate refused to convict in a bi-partisan vote with most senators stating they felt just partisan influence on the bench was not impeachable; they needed some specific instance of actual misconduct in ruling.
The Senate "trial" was presided over by the Vice-President, Aaron Burr, who had survived a notorious Federal trial for actual treason, and was then under indictment for murder in New Jersey following his killing of Alexander Hamilton in a duel over personal insults. By then dueling was a felony crime in itself, even if no physical injury resulted. Burr took care never again to enter the State of New Jersey, but served out his term as Vice-President without anyone bringing up the subject of impeachment in his case.

The purpose of this twitter thread is as follows: I am looking for a group of dedicated and loyal American journalists to work with me to break the story that President Trump is a traitor.
"And if she means what I think I'm not sure sure how she can ever be in the presence of a Trump supporter, me, ever again."
I think that we're past the point where this thing can be walked back. You have millions of people who have supported overthrowing the established government without any evidence to support it, and now they're ignoring the evidence of several coup attempts. Besides the actual conspirators who supply the money and call the next shot, the millions of their supporters are now running on pure vanity. I don't see that stopping of its own momentum.

Draft Executive Order Would Give Trump a New Target: Modern Design The proposed order, called “Making Federal Buildings Beautiful Again,” favors classical design for buildings in Washington. It has drawn opposition from architects. per NYT
AFAIK, the office of Speaker is mentioned in the Constitution, but only once, in passing, and taking it for granted that any assembly must have a presiding officer.
In Parliament, the previous one, John Bercow, on his retirement was given good marks for evenhandedness in presiding over debates - famously so for BBC's Questions for the Prime Minister - but were chided a bit for having had a tendency to let his Labourite affiliations show in other matters. Apparently this is not considered appropriate for the holder of the office, though the Speaker is elected from among the Members.
In Congress, it has now come to pass that the Speaker of the House no longer "speaks for the House", but only as leader of the majority party, though retaining all the powers of the office for the full House.
This while the party keeps a full complement of elected leaders, Majority Leader, Majority Whip, etc. (The Democrats even have an Assistant Majority Leader, I think, for the Black contingent of their caucus, which seems somewhat "racist" of them, but what do I know.)
Been at work all day. Well, a retirement seminar, but anyway, been out of touch. Question: They finally figure out the final winner in the Iowa Circus? Er, Carcass? I mean, Caustic? Oh, never mind...

I am sure that Mittens hates Trump, but what good did it do for him to vote to convict ? Acquittal was a slam dunk. So maybe Schiff has got something on Romney and coerced him- like maybe his ties to Ukraine/Burisma Group :

The Dems who voted against Nancy's impeachment also probably had no love for Trump (though their districts may have), but still voted in his favor. There was even a defection in the end. Just based on those facts, I don't really see how any fair mind can look at this as anything other than a convincing Trump win. The witnesses argument is crap, because the House could've done their job. Back then it was "urgent", of course. Then it became "we need to take our time" once the ball was out of Nancy's court. When even your flashpoint is a fake "whistleblower" receiving a hivemind hush treatment by deluded leftists, which normal people observe to be absurd, how can you expect to actually win the day? Witness after witness in the House hearings claimed never having been told a quid pro quo existed, but so many just had a hunch. Yeah, sure. The Parnas distraction ran out of steam mighty fast too - the left just can't catch a break here.
"I would like to give a shout out to Killer Kowalski...he and his colleagues prepared me both mentally and emotionally for this presidency and I want to acknowledge that debt."

You can knock Trump all you want, but he a master of showbiz. It is the Greatest Show on Earth. And you ain't seen nothing yet. Coming up in year four:

All this and more in year four of Trump Imperator, the Greatest Show on Earth. The Democrats think they are ahead, but Trump has almost lapped them.
I examined a few of these worksheets- it appears to me that the math was done incorrectly, or the rules were terrible. You shouldn't end up with so many leftover delegates unless you are using the initial voter numbers, not the the voters in the last alignment for the calculation. If you don't participate in the realignment, you shouldn't be counted for SDEs, at least I don't think you should be. A bigger collection of these worksheets needs to be examined.
In short, the 2nd alignment will almost always have fewer participants than the first- mainly because non-viable candidates supporters might not want to support anyone else, and leave. However, the delegates numbers appear to be based on the 1st aligment alone- even though the calculations involve each candidates vote totals from the second alignment. This leads to 1-5 extra delegates (the size depends on the magnitude of the vote totals and the dropouts). Overall, if you do end up with an extra, the rule for assigning the extras is ok, but I really do question using the number of participants in the 1st alignment as the base- that seems inappropriate since it is support in the 2nd alignment that really matters.
Heck yancey the number of attendees dont add up in at least three counties, which meand there is an overcount in at least two, then they dont know when to round up or down
"Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., announced in a letter Wednesday they are seeking "records of Hunter Biden’s travel while he was under U.S. Secret Service protection as they continue to investigate potential conflicts of interest to boost his business ventures in Ukraine and China."
Trump was just given a pass for violating the law and this unproven nonsense about the Bidens continues nonetheless! How is it that the Republicans can get any information they seek but the impeachment committee was denied any and all info requests?
There was an article that referenced a press release from the Wuhan Virology Instutute some years ago which interviewed a young scientist who was very excited about the prospect of understanding how bats where able to live with infections of deadly viruses without succumbing to them. Their immune systems didn’t overreact, and it seems like the overreaction of the immune system is what makes many viruses deadly. That article has been sort of scrubbed from the internet because it named the guy.
It may be that it is not a bioweapon, at least by intent, but more like an industrial accident involving well meaning research. From this point of view, it still doesn’t rule out that they were tinkering with viruses with CRSPR, which is a technology long out of the bag. Certainly Chinese spies have been caught both in Boston smuggling viruses, see DOJ’s website, and Canada.
I like to read literature from the turn of the previous century, so I am familiar with the history of the Spanish Flu, and I know that a decade or two ago, they dug up some victims of it in the arctic. So you know there are samples of it around, anyway. It was a horrific event.
Democrats. could have had Bolton as a witness, but it required them to agree to witnesses Trump wanted, which Schumer said was “off the table.” This was the news just a couple weeks ago, but not it’s down the memory hole. It’s amazing to me.
Romney’s campaign and Hillary’s campaign were both involved in pressuring Ukraine to lay off of Burisma, which eventually they did.
The idea that a software company would be founded by political insiders just stinks. Both from the point of technical incompetence and potentially untraceable corruption. This is one more strong argument for paper ballots, with pen, not pencil, and dipping thumbs in ink.
and this unproven nonsense about the Bidens continues nonetheless!
Unproven? Hunter Biden's bribes, or "payments", are a matter of record, and Joe Biden is on videotape bragging about how he forced the Ukraine to end an investigation into the company his son was receiving payments from by threatening to with hold U.S. money.
The BLS jobs report for January comes out on Friday morning. The January number is normally full of revisions and adjustments for the previous year and likely will differ greatly from the ADP report. Look for Democrats to pounce if there’s a less than stellar number. Wouldn’t be surprised if there are claims of Trump manipulation... or perhaps claims of an impeachable offense.
Trump was just given a pass for violating the law and this unproven nonsense about the Bidens continues nonetheless!
Cool! You cleverly wrote “unproven” in lieu of the outright falsity of “innocent.” Because “innocent” is something the Bidens (père et fils) certainly are not!
How is it that the Republicans can get any information they seek but the impeachment committee was denied any and all info requests?
Why are you so upset about someone’s travel records? Every one of Donald Trump’s flights since the day he came down that escalator is a matter of public record.
Aunty Trump said... The idea that a software company would be founded by political insiders just stinks. Both from the point of technical incompetence and potentially untraceable corruption.
Oh Come ON! WHAT, Possible Problem could there EVEN BE? SURE, the Shadow group is owned and operated by Hillary Clinton SURE, there are no "Experienced Programmers" on their staff
BUT! What do you think would go wrong? Are you in some dream, where you think that caucus results would be FOUR DAYS late, that any wins by people not supported by the Clintons, would NEVER be reported? that numbers reported would not only by different from the numbers witnessed... But wouldn't Even mathematically add up?? What dream land are you sleeping in?
I am sure the. same people who “infestigated” Hillary Clinton and Uranium One, and her emails “extreme carelessness, not gross negligence, you fools!” have done a bang up job looking into the strings that were pulled at the State Deapartment to get Burisma off with a slap on the wrist.

Trump was just given a pass for violating the law
Which law was Trump accused of breaking?
and this unproven nonsense about the Bidens continues nonetheless!

Oh Come ON!
WHAT, Possible Problem could there EVEN BE?
SURE, the Shadow group is owned and operated by Hillary Clinton
SURE, there are no "Experienced Programmers" on their staff
"Cool! You cleverly wrote “unproven” in lieu of the outright falsity of “innocent.”"
Hillary (1998): "Well, I think that—if all that were proven true, I think that would be a very serious offense. That is not going to be proven true."
I am sure the. same people who “infestigated” Hillary Clinton and Uranium One, and her emails “extreme carelessness, not gross negligence, you fools!” have done a bang up job looking into the strings that were pulled at the State Deapartment to get Burisma off with a slap on the wrist.
They held off the pro Bernie numbers until Mayor Cheat garnered two days of good headlines.

Last night, the Minnesota Gopher basketball team lured the Wisconsin Badger basketball team into an arena (the barn), and kicked the shit out of them.
Bad.
everything the Dems touch turns into an abortion
Lock 'em up, and when they protest, say "This isnt a prison...
... it's just a clump of cells!"
Good one, ICTA!
Ken B: Romney voted *against* witnesses. If he thought the evidence was enough to convict it was irresponsible to not want witnesses.
Romney voted for witnesses.
thanks, Mock! Have a great day!
