I see: "Green flashes may be observed from any altitude. They usually are seen at an unobstructed horizon, such as over the ocean, but are possible over cloud tops and mountain tops as well."
I will be up at sunrise tomorrow for the time-honored tradition of registering a child for summer camp the moment registration opens online. Stressful! You have to ask the kid if the camp is something they want to do, they get excited, and then have to see if you can get a spot, sprinting through the online forms.

Maybe you'll see one then!
A mud hen cameo.
The Green Ray (French: Le Rayon vert) is an excellent 1986 film by Éric Rohmer.
That bottom one is really special
Aurora rising. And the birds chirping. And Althouse running. Only 60 days until springtime.
I see that Jennifer Rubin is now bashing Susan Collins as a Trump hack. Susan Collins!
C'mon Althouse! Why not one of THESE sunrises?

Just saw this about a guy in Michigan ... "My New Year's Resolution is simple, to watch and photograph every sunrise of 2019."
