I don't know if that's doing everything wrong, but Harris just seems decidedly ordinary. She seemed like anybody — any of millions and millions of Americans — who watch video and make comments of the most banal sort like "I can't even." She seems tired and bored. Low energy. She doesn't even seem to be coming up with her own one-liners. There's no spark or personality. No reason for running for the presidency. All I can see is the bland minimalism of not being Trump.
ADDED: The Harris campaign has chosen to feature the line "Watching Trump, I realize I should’ve taken more psychology classes." That's a direct confession of a terrible deficit: I don't understand why people behave the way they do. How can she be the one who speaks for America with foreign leaders? Will she be sitting down with Putin and Kim Jong-Un thinking she missed a course in school and therefore has no grasp of what might be going on in their head?

It's a joke relying on clever and mean. Not very clever (clever only in using an implication rather than direct statement) and uninterestingly mean (Trump is crazy).
Being a joke, it doesn't imply anything about foreign leader negotiations.
Back off. Kamala is not running against Trump.

She sure is a poor candidate. Biden and Warren and Buttigieg and, even, Steyer are superior because they actually have reasons they are running for POTUS other than the obligatory Democrat reason of Not Trump. I'm now of the belief that Kamala really has no reason she wants and should be the nominee.
A team of highly paid campaign consultants worked to create this? That’s the best they could come up with? Or is the material good but she just does not present it well.....

The reason they want her to look so ordinary is because they cannot comprehend that there is a different skill set for dealing with high-level negotiations. They really are True Believers in egalitarianism.
I suppose it might have worked better if she'd said something like "I realize now I should have taken a class on crazy." Then it would clearly be a joke, I guess, and not some amateur effort to play doctor. Interesting, I guess, that she seems to think a couple of psychology classes would be all one needs to diagnose mental illness.
Given reports on how she handled the crime lab problems when she was the D.A. in San Francisco maybe she should have taken an Evidence class when she was in law school.

I saw her quip responding to Trumps talk about jobs and plants. Well, I guess he is wrong about jobs and plants leaving California (and NY thanks to wonderful AOC), but it isn't Trump's policy that is causing business to leave California. Considering the latest unemployment numbers; Trump is more right than the previous Democrat administration. Well maybe not, Obama did say his economic incompetency was the new normal.
Seems more like an audition tape for a MSNBC gig.

Harris still in the the running for a VP slot with Bernie or Biden. Both guys need a POC, a woman, and someone young. Harris is showing she can be an "attack dog" - the usual VP role. Cory Booker will probably be the Warren VP. I can't see TWO women on the same ticket. Or maybe to calm the fears of the Billionaires, Warren would pick Bloomberg.

Bay Area Guy narrows in exactly what Harris' main tactical problem is- she seems to think she is running in the general election already. Attacking Trump relentlessly like this doesn't do a damned thing to help her win the nomination. Just to illustrate this point, answer this question- what was the high point of her entire campaign? The answer was the quite negative attack on Joe Biden during the debate in June. However, she didn't seem to learn anything from that small bit of success, and has now sank back into oblivion.
At this point in her failing campaign, Kamala, like Beto before her, is just throwing Hail Mary's and hoping something connects before she has to throw in the towel.

I think she'd make a fine mayor of Oakland. That could be a stepping stone to CA Governor. From there, she could be another Reagan. Her oyster is the world's. I'm cheered to see her flop using the Senate as springboard.
I mean, she's a failure as a POTUS candidate. Biden won't touch her. Warren is too smart to pick her. Maybe she can run alongside "Mr. Personality" -- Erich Holder. They could run as Mr. and Mrs Vindictive.
California is solid Democrat, and she's actually not that popular among African-Americans, so it's hard to her as a VP candidate. People made the same mistake about Kamala that they make about governors they don't know that much about: they look good on paper … before anybody sees or hears them. There was also the idea that the first Black (or at least non-White) woman president was something voters would find hard to resist. But that first African-American ship sailed with Obama. Hillary Clinton couldn't make the first woman president thing work for her. Why would it work for Kamala? She had her "Obama moment" getting into the Senate. People know her now, and they don't like what they see that much.
I don't understand the earbuds. We can hear Trump: she can hear Trump. Are we inside inside her head? Then who is she talking to?
