Following the example of Althouse, I signed up at TikTok; began swiping and watched two or three (yes, yes, several) amusing videos: but the longer I spent at it, the more clear it became that it is chiefly middle and high school kids attempting to be clever while repeating the same half dozen tropes over and over again.
This leads me to make the observation that in this age of hyper-individualism TikTok (which has been around since 2017?) depicts a world where social conformity reigns and 'radicalism' seems not to exist; precisely because it's so much school kids, I guess. Still. Maybe instead of simply swiping, one needs to approach it via the Trending and Discover buttons; as with Instagram and other apps, however, probably I'll end up uninstalling this after having forgotten about it for a few months.
We didn't have a single trick or treater come to the door last night- the weather was unpleasant, windy and cold for this time of year. The turnout on our street has been falling for years, now finally to zero. I blame Trump.

Cold, calm, and around three dozen princes, princesses, goblins, and ghouls. All treats.
Freddie rare. He is an all-star without an ego.
So a lot of boomers will be eating unexpected quantities of candies in the coming days.
Kid seemed unimpressed.
some sicko put an apple in our kid's razor blades this year.
"Hello me, it's me again"

Freddie is the best. I miss Freddie, Jason Heyward, and Andrelton Simmons playing together--those were some fun games to watch.
The crazy thing is that Feddie's the old man on the team now! I'll miss McCann.
Some mafia guys were giving out candy to kids while smoking cigarettes.
The guy instantly became my favorite baseball player. How cool was that?
I know that can happen anywhere, but to me that is so Atlanta. Great people just being normal. Love that town.
