Oh, really?

That's a trend for me? Okay... I'll go this far...

I looked at that long enough to think: some social-media, Yang-related thing. Beyond that, I see the sun is shining and the real world exists.

Should not be underestimated for what?

Well NBC/Todd was able to characterize President Trumps remarks as vile....but announced they were SO vile we wouldn't be allowed to judge for ourselves.

Thousands of triggers left unpulled.

Sure social media can be a clumsy creature. But the moat and castle walls of the MSM need a bit of a beast to level the field.

On the plus side, Chuck Todd doesn't look like he's on Adderall. Well, Matt Lauer didn't look like the kind of guy who would anally rape his coworker. These newscasters aren't hired for their sagacity and virtue. They're hired because they look sagacious and virtuous. That's a much harder trick to pull off......I sometimes see criticism of Trump that says that he's not really a billionaire, that it's all a sham. Well, if it were a sham, then that would be a more impressive achievement than making a billion dollars. Imagine living your whole life as a billionaire when you're actually bankrupt. Think of the knives you'd have to juggle to pull that off over a lifetime.

Yang? Feh.

I guess one of the joys of having a Twitter account is that they treat you like an idiot.

Nor should there be! (Or is this too harsh, and needs moderation?)

The whole Yang thing is a mystery to me. He's not going to get nominated, and he doesn't have any smart positions. I guess not being a 100% liberal/left-wing flake means you're some sort of crazy "Thinking outside the box" wild-man in the 2020 D Primary.

It does?

i confess to checking Twitter for news instead of turning on @NPR or TV, and thank goodness i have collected a dependable feed of trusted tweeters that give me a broad range of what's happening, because if i depended on "trends for you", I would be mired in bland gossip or superficial gotcha contests, and bored enough to go away.

My experience of their "trends for you" offers noisy fussyButt, and if I click on one, it explains defensively with something like "chosen because you follow x" but the subject will be neither his nor at all related to why i follow that person.

Makes me wonder/worry how newbies to twitter may get tooled like children with such a gutter bumper to their explorations.

All of this "social media" like Twitter, etc., that is supposed to be so big and so influential, actually touches maybe two or three percent of people.

As incoherent as my comments often are, you might suspect that I would understand such gibberish, but I can't figure out what is going on there, but I can tell I don't need or want to know. Anything Yangish is unimportant.

I think the trans-gender issue as presidential politics died on CNN with Don Lemon, and Beto-ff the Dork. Therefore, we have Yang rising.

No, I don't have pictures.

I'm beginning to suspect that moderation is nothing more than a cron job that runs at some frequency.

At what frequency can we avoid the sturm-und-drang of tedious personal interactions, but encourage the performance art of the peanut gallery.

Jonathan Turley has some questions for Chuck Todd.

There is, however, that other problem of Hunter Biden landing a windfall contract with one of Ukraine’s most corrupt figures after his father took charge of potentially billions in U.S. loans and aid for Ukraine. That is what no one seems to want to discuss.

Indeed, the Biden campaign has been remarkably open in demanding that news organizations stop airing interviews or publishing articles about the allegations. Instead of calling it “fake news” (which is virtually copyrighted by Trump), the Biden campaign calls such coverage “conspiracy theories.”

Thus, the campaign wrote to various networks, demanding that they stop airing interviews on the scandal with figures such as Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani. Kate Bedingfield, deputy manager of the Biden campaign, also denounced The New York Times for publishing an op-ed by author Peter Schweizer on the controversy. The campaign apparently expected the Times and the networks to fall in line and bar others from even expressing a view.

Hmmmm.

Chuck Todd tweets that he “can’t in good conscience” bring you the president’s side of the story. Even though Trump gets it from the NY Times, which shouldn’t have printed it, according to NYMag, even though it is true, because it benefits Trump.

Talk about a “bonfire of the vanities."

When President Trump turned to the Bidens and Ukraine in a speech, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace cut off the coverage, declaring she had to protect the listeners: "We hate to do this, really, but the president isn't telling the truth." When Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) tried to answer a question about the Ukraine scandal by referencing the Bidens, "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd angrily told him not to "gaslight" the nation.

Apparently you can “lie” even if everything you say is factually correct. That’s the new world we live in.

There was a post about mathematics, one of the questions had to do with how we determine truth, well here it is: If it helps Trump, it’s a lie.

Something is happening on Twitter - I think I can avoid knowing what by a policy of skilled, resourceful inertia.

And Shep Smith - don't know who, don't know why.

But the mysterious code on the car dashboard has yielded its secret - I should rotate the tires.

Early in the week, the noise from the press was that despite the fact that there was “nothing wrong” with Biden, Romney, Pelosi, and Kerry’s kids raking in very nice paydays for being related to their powerful parents, not all Americans seemed to see it that way. So there is an obvious solution! A news blackout, so that the benighted rubes in America don’t apply their retrograde and overly simplistic standards of morality to these fine, upstanding beak dippers!

Of course Biden’s son, who bought crack multiple times at a homeless camp and was kicked out of the Navy for cocaine use is just the kind of guy you pay millions of dollars to provide sage advice on your board! All the while he is running that investment fund the Chinese put over a billion dollars into! Squeezed between the time he was on the board of Amtrak, raking in six figures, because, well, there are lots of homeless camps around railroad tracks!

Let’s not even get into the activities of his fraudster partner Archer. Normal Americans wouldn’t understand why the son of a Vice President would be in partnership with a man who had deprived Indian tribes out of tens of millions of dollars, well, not just Indian tribes, but pension funds too!

Americans are just too simple, and so they must be protected!

I stopped watching Todd in the run up to the 2016 election because of his unrelenting bias. It sounds like he's gotten worse.
