I love the facial expression at 0:13. It's like: Oh, Joe, now you've done it.

Maybe he had a vivid flashback of hearing his parents copulating right there and the thought in his head was: Mother is not going to like this.  His mother is no longer with us, but you know how flashbacks are. Inside an old man's head, a departed mother can still give him that look, can still say "Now, son..."

Joe should withdraw before he makes a really bad mistake.

I wish Joe’s father had withdrawn.

Because that was a big mistake.

If you read it that way. I take it more as the walls were thin, it was noisy and he's wondering how his parent's stayed sane through it all.

Sheesh! Not everyone thinks about sex 100% of the time, Althouse!

Biden Has Described his deceased wife Neilia as ‘My Sensuous Lover’

I am not sure that this has anything to do with Presidential qualifications, but Biden's hair sniffing, etc., seemed to me a little weird and creepy, and this story about his parent's love life seems a little weird and creepy, and the nude swimming in front of secret service agents seems a little weird and creepy. And the facial expression is either weird and creepy on its own, or is an acknowledgement by Biden that he knows it will probably sound a little weird and creepy.

I'm reluctant to criticize Biden here because (1) lots of accomplished politicians go off script and say stuff they later regret: Hillary ain't no ways tard; Mitt put the dog on the roof; Trump realizes he can get away with grabbing women by the pussy; Schiff does that non-funny improv act on the Ukraine phone call. (2) those that don't go off script (Nixon? Obama?) are suspect (in my opinion) for being so ambitious (from their youth) and buttoned up that I wonder about their mental health.

I know people will ask "Don't you find Trump's interest in young beautiful women weird and creepy?" And I'd say, "No, I find the willingness of young beautiful women to put up with Trump's interest a little weird, and slightly creepy."

I'm returning to my original thought that Slow Joe will be the Democrats choice. Simply because he isn't a Socialist or a Communist. The media will help out during the POTUS election, claiming that he's middle of the road.

If I had money I wouldn’t miss to bet, it would be on Amy, because Biden is a declining stock and Warren seems to have a cieling.

Schiff didn't go off script, he was reading from a script.

Skylark, I read the Minneapolis paper every morning, and there are very few people in Minnesota it seems, that like Amy. If she can't wow the home crowd, she isn't going to get national attention.

Being curious about four kids and grandpa in a two bedroom joint, I wikied for info. Seems legit. Could not find ages of his two brothers and sister at the time.

Funny , though, are sentences complimentary to Joe containing phrases such as " inaccurately recollected ","tendency to invent a past" and "did not represent a truthful recollection .."

"accentuating the notion that he lacked mental and verbal discipline.[40]"

Full Moon: isn’t it the objective of politicians like Biden to project their inner crazy into the world so that others bear the costs of its pathologies?

Slow Joe has always struck me as deeply stupid. I am delighted he is seen as the democrat's best chance of beating Trump because of moments like this. Progressives must be gnashing their teeth every time he reaches for a microphone. Run Joe, RUN!

I don’t think he meant it that way, but reacted to the audience seemingly taking it that way.

rhhardin: Private marital sex is a modern development.

My reaction: so true. I've noticed in staying at "old" 19th century hotels: in olden days people wanted to have their rooms to sleep, and people expected to spend their days in public areas like lobbies. In "modern" hotels, there is no expectation of "public areas" -- everyone will spend their time in their rooms. l also recognize that hotels are (in 19th century terms) almost exclusively a rich person's consumption good.

I find it a little refreshing that he's using some self-deprecating humor. He's fighting for the nomination against a field of humorless sky-is-falling candidates. Voters might welcome this change of pace.

Hitler hinted at the same sort of trauma, he told acquaintances about how he would hear the noise from the next room and know that his father was getting on top of his mother.
So Biden and Hitler had a lot in common.

That iron cross tat that Katie Hill has near her pubes? It's not a tat, it's the brand Biden puts on all of "his women."

He’s an idiot who thinks that—because he’s “Joe”—he can do or say anything he wants.

He’s truly delusional.

If Joe is the best the Democrats have then they might as well kill the party and recreate themselves as the New Communist Party.
At least they would be honest ( in a way) for a change. Folks, remember Joe was Obama's life insurance policy. A man so dumb no one would dare kill Obama and make him president. Now that idiot is the frontrunner. Since there is a real possibility Joe could be facing indictment before the convention they better have a Plan B.

He hasn't improved lo these 31 years. Still Slow Joe.

“Schiff didn't go off script, he was reading from a script.”

It looks very much like they have figured out who Schify’s “whistleblower” is, and he has strong ties to both SLO Joe Bidet and Schify Schiff. Former Obama NSC guy from the CIA, who traveled with Bidet. No surprise - it was a Lawfare setup from the first.

Talking Lawfare, as I have noted before, both Schiff and Palsi hired Lawfare Groupis for their staff, and they appear to be the ones who rewrote committee rules to cut out the Republicans, and to eliminate Due Process for the President. What is interesting about the “impeachment” resolution that the Dems are supposed to be ramming no through Thursday is that it will be a two step “impeachment”, with Shifty with even more control over the initial part of the investigation. Nines gets to try to call witnesses, but Schiff can veto them. The two of them get a half an hour each, then each committee member (and there are a lot more Dem committee members) gets maybe 10 minutes. Schiff can delegate his time to staff (i.e. Lawfare) attorneys. Schiff can, of course, refuse to allow witnesses to answer anything he wants (which we saw in action earlier this week). The President, of course, has no part here. He cannot call witnesses, cross examine any of Schiff’s witnesses, or even send an observer. True Star Chamber Justice. Then, the entire investigation is passed off to Wadler and his Judiciary committee, where the President and the Republicans finally get a modicum of Due Process - but after ine “investigation is effectively over.

Interesting note for the Senate - Lawfare mentor Lawrence Tribe has pointed out that the Constitution does not require that conviction requires 2/3 of the Senate, but rather 2/3 of the Senators present, for removal. This strongly suggests to me that they have something planned to sideline 20 or so Republican Senators. Hope that I am wrong there, but so far paranoia has been more than justified.

I'm delighted to hear the increasingly unhinged Lawrence Tribe is part of the "brain trust" spearheading the impeachment scam on the senate side. I'm sure someone with his sober, neutral, judgement will be able to guide the democrats to a successful senate impeachment. :-)
