"There has been no President in the history of our Country who has been treated so badly as I have. The Democrats are frozen with hatred and fear."

"They get nothing done. This should never be allowed to happen to another President. Witch Hunt!"

Tweets Trump, setting the narrative, in which he is the protagonist.

There are different ways to respond to this cue. Just to pick from the tweets displayed directly under Trump's right now, there's:
The democrats hate President Trump more than they love this country. They are so emboldened with hate they are blinded.
And:
President Trump has weathered many storms, and he will continue to ride high on the seas of destiny. He will eliminate the entire government completely, day by day, one by one. He will reign alone, and within the ruins of the demon-scape his truth will be the only sound

This is a tough one because the Democrats don't even want the USA to exist (No Borders, No Wall, No USA At All.) I would have said "The Democrats hate me more than they hate the USA."

Democrats have enabled this theme for the elections. Par example, on CNBC just now: Last week Pelosi was interested in coming together for a deal on NAFTA. Now that the left is obsessed with impeachment instead there'll be no deal. Now Trump can head to Michigan and WI and Ohio and point out he's trying to work for them while the Democrats don't care about you.

The real question is why the Huge Hatred.

The hatred of Trump is worse and more vicious than anything since Nixon.

Even worse than Bush 2.

My guess is because Trump attacks back, and is constantly destroying Overton windows on what is considered the norm, that have been created by liberals over the years. He is also fighting a bit of the culture war.

The hatred of the never Trumpers is more crazy, I think they are a small minority that the msm gives the spotlight as True Republicans, but a but are actually a small minority of Republicans.

Longer version:

Still good advice today.

My beliefs is Barr is being careful in preparing his attack against the plotters in the attempted coup against Trump. The entire time of President Trump in politics and the media since he announced his candidacy seems like it was written to be a successful soap opera. It has a very story-like development all the way. Every day something new and always tomorrow's episode promising more of what got you to watch all along. It's never completely satisfying one way or the other, but it continuously compels you to see what will happen next. There are no dead periods, no dark dates. The unfolding of the events and stories seems to be carefully choreographed to maximize your attention. It's too much of a contrived drama to be real life. It makes me think we may really be in the matrix after all.

Partly because of technology, but it's impossible that any of those Presidents endured even 10% of the number of negative news stories and opinions in the media against Trump. Just imagine a simple tally of words alone used to attack this President. And that's despite his Presidency not being extreme in any way. His policies are not radical. He's not responsible for a war, getting Americans killed in far off lands or killing each other by the thousands. There is not economic turmoil, and American are better off than they have been in decades. How does that kind of Presidency deserve such animus? Mass derangement.

I did this. People don't fully appreciate the centrality of a free press to maintaining a democracy. Even if you hate both MSNBC and FOX you have to recognize the genius of US democracy in accommodating such diverse/crazy voices. Even quite good democracies like Australia and Britain have a more constrained press. Turkey currently has the most 'disappeared' journalists, apparently even more than Russia. The press is the first to get it in the neck when a 'strong man' grabs power. People were legitimately outraged at Trump's use of the term 'enemy of the people' in describing the press.

The Democrat Party is now the party of the mega rich, and what mega rich people want most of all is a government that can be bought.
