The NY Post:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo doubled down last week on his blame-the-messenger approach to New York’s growing shortage of natural-gas supplies by ordering the Department of Public Service to “broaden its investigation” of National Grid and threatening to “find another franchisee.”

Anything, rather than admit that his own policies are at fault.

The utility has stopped taking new gas customers in parts of Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens where it can’t handle the new demand — because Team Cuomo vetoed the proposed Williams pipeline to bring in supplies from New Jersey. (Jersey is also blocking the pipeline, since Gov. Phil Murphy is appeasing the same green extremists.)

National Grid gave months of warning that it would need to impose the moratorium if fresh supplies weren’t ensured....

Con Ed did the same in advance of its recent new-biz moratorium in most of Westchester, which was also prompted in good part by the nixing of new pipelines.

This is the point of the yearslong green war on pipelines: You can’t burn gas or oil you can’t get.

Until a tree falls it doesn't. When it does, it's at 32 ft per second squared. What nitwit put up that sign?

Great weekend in Columbus OH for our nephew's wedding. I was not familiar with the area before, and not a ton more now, but we had a great time and enjoyed some of the local sights. German Village, Buckeye Donuts, Scioto River walk, and a decent amount of time eating, drinking, and hanging with family and friends in Dublin OH.

The wedding was lovely.

Back to work tomorrow. Kicking off Q2. Finished Q1 well so should be an easy start. Might sneak in a ride on the bicycle. I'll be sure to be careful of pedestrians and keep an ear out for reckless drivers.

The Labour leadership is determined to shift power away from bosses and landlords and to workers and tenants....

That tree branch might have split away on its own. There have been six or seven incidents like that in my area and down on Memorial Drive. A huge branch, almost a bole of a tree, suddenly splits away and falls several hours after a rain shower. Maybe there's too much water in them and they are too heavy. Anyhow I've seen it quite often this summer and never ever before. They aren't blowing down in wind, at least not major wind, and not during storms; they just suddenly come down. The break is very jagged. Usually they fall in the road in my area but on Memorial Drive they are back toward the bluff. That's the first one I've seen hang up like that but I see it hasn't completely torn free.

WHO'S the Largest producer of natural gas in the World? The United States of America!
WHO'S the largest City in The United States of America> New York City!
WHERE does New York City get it's natural gas? OVERSEAS!!!

We, as New Yorkers, are SO AGAINST Natural Gas that we
Don't use OUR Natural Gas
Don't use Our Neighboring state's Natural Gas
Don't use ANY OTHER STATE'S Natural Gas
We use foreign Natural Gas!!! (and foreign fuel oil!)

And WHY are we against Natural Gas? Because it is THE SINGLE BIGGEST FACTOR in reducing CO2
Nothing (NOTHING!) does more to reduce CO2 than using Natural Gas instead of fuel oil
Therefore! WE NEW YORKERS HATE Natural Gas
