Remember when you were a child and you thought it would work to announce the "I'm rubber, you're glue" rule?

Apparently, it's not too late to recapture the joys of childmind:

(Joe Lockhart was Bill Clinton's Press Secretary.)

ADDED: Why doesn't Lockhart know that you don't show your talking points outright? This is like when George H.W. Bush said "Message: I care."

Which means, under Trump, many more blacks are working and earning money to provide for themselves and their families.

Which means it would be racist to vote against Trump - what kinda racist would seek to thwart this economic progress in the black community?

And now they’re getting it back in spades (pun intended).

I just got told via FB post from her that because I voted for TRump she has NO ROOM in her heart or in her life for a racist like me. If I vote for him, I must be just like him. I replied.."Wow...so sorry to hear that. I love you anyways." She replied "He’s a racist, a wannabe dictator, a womanizer, a kidnapper... Anyone who is ok with this is not someone I can or want to relate to." To which I replied "Peach and Love" The last words written on this friendship were " Peace and love to you, Wendy, but if you’re a supporter of trump, I have real news for you, that is NOT what he stands for!!!" She had all kinds of friends commenting after about how brave she is, and how woke she is. How wonderful it feels to get rid of family and friends like me....and that she should have done it long ago. I am just happy that I will NEVER be or VOTE for another Democrat in my life since they are so angry and hateful. I'm a live and let live person....

Sure, the condescension of the racial McCarthyite is stupid. Sure, if everything is racist, nothing is. Sure, progs have as little basis for their racism claims as they do for their collusion claims.

But is it counterproductive? The Universal Theory of Progressive Instrumentalism says that anything progs claim or do is a tool. Racism is just another tool. Does the tool do its job? It's nice and all of Althouse to note the insult glue, but the question is if the Althouses of America will be scared into voting against Trump for fear of being tarred as racist. Althouse herself may vote for Trump out of sheer contrarianness, but I am not so sure about her sisters.

I know that for political reasons they will not lavish him with the kind of fulsome praise they extended towards Clinton, Conyers, various members of the Kennedy family, but surely it is not asking too much to treat him with the same respect they extended towards Jeffrey Epstein AFTER his conviction.

For instance, if you have never worked to lower levels of rat infestation in the neighborhoods of your poorer constituents you can wipe all that out by playing the "E-rase" card and magically your neglect becomes racism in the person who pointed out the rats. And the rats stay. Since number of rats correlates with number of bureaucrats which is as the cube of the number of socialists, this is good. Or, at any rate, inevitable. See ten rattiest cities and correlate with socialists, bureaucrats, rats and the use of the "E-rase" card.

A definition might be, one who is ALINSKYISED, by means of education, propaganda, the MSM, political correctness, the politics of meaning, the crowd, aka the street mob (ANTIFA, OCCUPY WALL STREET, ect) is a person who lies, defames. threatens another with personalized negative buzz words in order to shout down and deny free speech to an opposing political view not in lock step with their own.

The Left has been saying for years that "The personal is political." They mean it. The Left wants a government that is so large and so intrusive into every sphere of life that there is no place left where you can be a private person.
Think of it. How you raise your children, how you relate to your husband or wife, when, where and how you work, whether you worship or not and what you're allowed to worship, .... All of this is, to a Leftist, grist for the political mill. Your entire life, even your thoughts, are belong to them. It's tyranny on a scale undreamed of even by the most fervent Nazi or Stalinist.
Not every leftist understands where the policies he or she advocates inevitably lead. But that does not make them any less dangerous. What does help is that, due to their poor understanding of human nature, leftists usually aren't very good at implementing their grandiose plans, and the political structures they erect to run things usually devolve into corruption and rent-seeking pretty quickly.

The Big Media will side with the Left, the pattern will repeat and the whole thing will spiral out of control. Scary to think about.

I suspect this is another one of Trump’s Sunday tweets that sends the Big Media into a frenzy. By the time the dust settles late Monday (definitely by Tuesday) people will start to look at Elijah Cummings. We’ll start looking at his grandstanding with the border chaos, the condition of his district, his love of BLM, etc. And then people will start to say “Huh, that’s interesting...” just like they did with The Squad.

Gramsci did not invent the theory of cultural hegemony nor that of “the long march” (which he didn’t name either), though he described both.
His work was not published until both processes, in terms of leftist ideology becoming the intellectual-institutional norm, were well advanced.
He did however create the frame with which this stuff was seen in retrospect, by both the left and right.

Cultural hegemony became quite a popular trope on the intellectual left for a couple of decades. It’s since become somewhat passé, possibly because of the effects of the “long march”. It’s hard to complain about hegemony when you are the hegemon.

All of your commentors are so much better at this than I am, and probably can come up with a more succinct definition for an

This failure to counter-attack when falsely charged with Racism, lets the Left get away with Murder. That's why the liberal/Left NEVER allows themselves to put in defensive situations. They were soft on communism, but hey don't call them that! Because if you do, that's McCarthyism or Red-baiting which is even WORSE then loving Comrade Stalin!

Meanwhile, the Center-right when called "racist" keeps saying stuff like "Hey, no one hates racism more than me" Or "Ha,ha, look at my track record I'm totally not racist" or "MY best friends are black" Or 'Here's my 42 page memorandum proving in great detail and with Aristotelian logic why I"m not a racist".

And all the Left does is...say "No, you're a racist". Meanwhile they keep expanding the definition of what is "racist". It never ends. Because you need to counter-attack - like Trump, not play defense.

Lifted from Insty:

"I appeared on CNN Monday night to discuss the firestorm over the president’s caustic tweets last weekend criticizing the four most progressive members of the House of Representatives. I deemed the tweets illogical and shrill, and said so on Twitter and on Anderson Cooper’s show. I also pointed out that the overreaction from Democratic politicians and their media allies revealed a hysterical attempt to castigate the president as prejudiced. I cited the incredibly incendiary accusation of my CNN colleague Wajahat Ali who retweeted an article and its headline: “Trump is a racist. If you still support him, so are you.”

Such an immense and broad condemnation of tens of millions of Americans represents, itself, an intensely bigoted tactic. After all, utterly dismissing wide swaths of our society just because they do not share prescribed political preferences represents a wholesale effort to delegitimize and dehumanize; it’s a classic tactic to “otherize,” to borrow a term from the left. Paradoxically, liberals like Ali unveil their own inherent and systemic bigotry by belittling their fellow citizens, merely on the grounds of policy differences. Rather than engage and debate and persuade, the intolerant left chooses the politics of vilification. Their rash judgment deems the “unwashed rabble” of our America First movement as deplorables and racists, simpletons unworthy of real consideration.

When I pointed out this clear chasm between their professed tolerance and real-world bigotry, Mr. Ali admonished me, stating that white Trump supporters “will never love you … no matter how hard you try to be the Latin face of Trump, they will never love you.” This CNN commentator and New York Times writer shamelessly employed an old racist trope, essentially calling me an “Uncle Tom” for daring to be brown and pro-America First. His demeaning comment attempted to remove me of my agency and castigate me as some supplicant intent on pleasing my white betters.

In actuality, I do not view all politics, as Ali does, through the narrow prism of race, and I regard myself as an American citizen and a grown man with his own thoughts. Despite Ali’s disparagement, I am not a caricature seeking the ratification of whites. In fact, I care very little about anyone’s skin color and instead aggressively argue for a new American nationalism that rejects tribalism and instead focuses on citizenship and rejects globalism."
