Eyewitness testimony versus circumstantial evidence.

ADDED: A crease can ruin your dream of the Presidency, but don't forget that a crease can lift your dream. Remember?
I remember distinctly an image of — we were sitting on his couches, and I was looking at his pant leg and his perfectly creased pant and I’m thinking, a) he’s going to be president and b) he’ll be a very good president.

You're supposed to take down the rainbow flag when it rains. Color bleeding.

gilbar said...

As someone with a lot of experience with flags;

The creases DO show that that rainbow flag hasn't hung all that many days, CERTAINLY not 365

It's amazing that Eric Swalwell has been elected to Congress. He is much more despicable than the average Democrat Representative.

Some other Democrat in his district should be able to defeat him in the next primary election.

exhelodrvr1 said...

The left has a disproportionate percentage of dishonest politicians and media members. Compare Hillary and Obama's weaselly "support" of LGBT issues, when it was safe, to Trump's long-time support.

Every time these publicity whores surface, they expose more of their idiocy. I thought is was fully exposed by this late date, but they keep proving they have no limit.

Eric Swalwell Looks like a bogus frat boy (Alpha Sigma Phi), in a Revenge of the Nerds movie.

His dad was Chief of Police in Algona Iowa before moving to Cali.
He's on his second marriage to a White Cis Woman!
Now that Frat Boy Eric (student council vice president) is a California Politician;
He HAS TO be MORE PROGRESSIVE than the average Democrat Representative, in the hopes that people won't notice that he is WHITER THAN WHITE BREAD.

This man is TOAST!

The big problem with Swalwell is he looks guilty. It doesn't make any difference what he is guilty of. He simply looks guilty and not to be trusted.

Henry said...

Next tweet:

"I iron in those 'like new' creases every day of the year!"

JaimeRoberto said...

He's my Congressman, and believe it or not, he might be better than the guy he replaced. He'll probably have the seat for life if he wants it. I call him Congressman Puddy, because he has the same blank expression as Elaine's boyfriend on Seinfeld.

Careful, no need to get nasty. Hard working people in Sac City. I would take 100 random citizens of Sac City than 100 random Californians in any task.

You can tell that rainbow flag has never been through the barrages of filth, hate, lies, and milkshakes thrown on gay pride marches going back centuries . . .

When I first saw Swallowswell I could only think central casting had sent Tucker somebody to pretend to be a delusional smarm-monger. It was really convincing.

Swalwell reminds me of the Greg Marmalard character in Animal House. He's astonishingly self-satisfied.

Leland said...

What is up with all the lies they tell to get people to like them?

And this is what is truly telling, because it suggests they are really ugly people that wouldn't be liked otherwise. I think we see that when they bifurcate Americans into those that value the American flag and those that value the LGBT flag. Why segregate the LGBT community from the rest of America?

Crimso said...

I have no use for him at all and think he is basically a dangerous lunatic, but it's possible: 1) that the pic was taken some time ago and only now included in the tweet; or 2) that he had to put a new one up because the old one was all worn and tattered ("I fly these flags," plural). It's also quite possible he's a virtue-signaling liar. Pelosi needs to get to the bottom of this.

Curious George said...

OK, neither of those flags are flying. I have a 3x5' Bears flag hung on the wall of my garage for over a year, and it still has creases. Doesn't change the fact that this guy is non-starter and moron.

Mike (MJB Wolf) said...

Swalwell threatened law abiding Americans with nukes on Twitter, in proving his anti-2nd Amendment bonafides tobthe in-line mob. He’s proven to be as thin skinned as people say Trump is, as dim as AOC, as corrupt as Adam Schiff, and as deep intellectually as Titania McGrath. In short a perfect proposition as resistance progressive. Too bad he’s the last one to know he’s a straight-ish white male and, therefore, doomed in his party.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

Swalwell. Not smart enough to at least iron the creases out of the rainbow flag before pretending that he has it hanging 365 days a year.

Come'on...if you are going to tell lies try to be better at it.

SteveR said...

We need a swell wall, not a Swalwell

Birches said...

It's pretty hilarious circumstantial evidence though.

Mike (MJB Wolf) said...

Before contraction his family name was Swallowswell. Seems to fit. They’ll probably catch him tapping toes in the House head.

wild chicken said...

Couldn't get some gal in the office to iron that thing?

Sheesh.

Michael K said...

Swalwell reminds me of the Greg Marmalard character in Animal House.

You know, he does.

DBQ is right. Why not iron the damn thing ?

John henry said...

Jaime,

Better than the guy he replaced is a pretty low bar for almost any congress person

He should still be replaced. A freshman congressperson is no danger regardless of viewpoint. They don't know anyone, can't do favors for anyone, can't get any attention and, most importantly have no seniority.

We should replace every rep, every senator, every 2 or 6 years. Keep them fresh and powerless.

I'd be fine with Stalin in the House if I knew he'd be gone in 2 years.

I mostly know of Swallwell from interviews with Tucker Carlson. He strikes me as a very poor and obvious liar.

He likely represents the next generation of Democrat leaders.

Skeptical Voter said...

Swalwell chose poorly on his office staff. Doesn't he have a secretary who could iron the darn thing before hanging it up? But by this time next year the flag will be "seasoned"--assuming it stays hung, and the creases will disappear.

NCMoss said...

Hold on there, those creases look like they were doctored into the image.

J Severs said...
