"Our former vice president, I was going to call him. I don’t know him well. I was gonna say, 'Welcome to the world, Joe. You having a good time, Joe?'"

Said President Trump, the day before Joe Biden came out with his "mindfulness" video.

Joe tugged at my heartstrings, I've got to say. He seemed so sweet and pathetic:
"But I’ll always believe governing — life, for that matter — is about connecting, connecting with people... That won’t change.... And I’ll be much more mindful. That’s my responsibility, my responsibility, and I’ll meet it.... The idea that I can’t adjust to the fact that personal space is important, more important than it’s ever been, is just not thinkable... I will. I will."
The time of loving and touching is over.

Nancy Pelosi explains:

"I'm a member of the straight arm club. I mean, I'm a straight-armer. Just pretend you have a cold, and I have a cold."

When has Creepy Joe ever "governed"? He has always been a Senator, right? Do Senators ever "govern"?

Seems to me that all they do is pass laws that others, in executive positions, use to govern. Governors, presidents, mayors.

Not Senators and not vice-presidents who, we should always keep in mind, are in the legislative, not executive, branch.

And totally disqualified to ever become president. In practice, if not in law.

And the reason they are disqualified is that they have zero experience in governing. With a few rare exceptions.

Pelosi is a joke. Our President is funny, and Joe is a pervy guy. If President Trump acted the way Joe Biden acts, it WOULD be a problem with the left. HELL....they think because he SAID he could grab them by the pussy that he actually does it. (And he isn't wrong about that. Look at Hugh Hefner. Why would ANY of those girls want anything to do with a guy who looks like a lizard? He had MONEY. He COULD grab them by the pussy.)

I think that the real issue is that women who expect to be taken seriously on a professional level are subjected to his personal belittlement. Sure, it’s not as bad as when Bill Clinton refused to see women as anything but sexual, no matter what delusions of seriousness they kept in their pretty little heads, but it’s of the same species.

Joe wants to throw out due process, so you first, Joe.

Notice that Trump talked about how easy it was for a star to get CONSENT, but lacking the D after his name, well, that argument may not be spoken. Biden never bothered getting consent. Doesn’t care about the objections of his female Secret Service agents, doesn’t establish a relationship with a woman first before he goes an nuzzles her hair without permission.

If you are going to be a creep or an asshole or a crook, be sure to have a ‘D’ after your name. If you have an ‘R’ after your name, look for baseless attacks. That’s the lesson here.

The thing that Joe did that perplexes me, and that he apparently did with both men and women, is putting his forehead on their forehead. Two foreheads pushed up against each other. In the Washington Post story, a woman he did this to is quoted as saying that she found it warm and pleasant (or something like that). Others are saying that they found it creepy and intrusive. I'd be in that camp.

Biden making that video shows two things.

First, his political instincts are keener than anyone else in the crowded Democrat field.

Second, old and an treachery will beat youth and inexperience every single time.

Then, Leslie, after you met Joe and he nuzzled the back of your head, you would walk away and tell yourself you will not be getting near that guy again. Me too. Problem solved, yes?

To speak of women now "coming forward" to accuse Joe Biden is B.S. There are videos and stills from his entire 40+ years political career. He has been tolerated because he has been a reliable Tammany brave, Delaware division.
However, no one is accusing Biden of "sexual assault," or even thinking of any such thing. He is just "creepy" and always has been.

Times have been a changing since November 8, 2016. Biden once enjoyed the life of a lawless aristocrat of the Globalist Deep State's reign based on their control over the Media Narrative. Then along came a master communicator smashing 30 year PC delusions and putting the Americans first again. Poor Biden is now reduced to begging for his political life.

Should we feel sorry for the once privileged SOB? NO. Joe will have to live by the rules.

Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and senior editor-at-large at Breitbart News, recalled how Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, received millions of dollars from Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings while his father directed $1.8 billion in aid money to Ukraine as vice president during the Obama administration.

Remember that Biden threatened to withhold the aid if the Ukrainians didn’t fire a prosecutor who was investigating his son. He is on tape bragging about obstructing justice to help out his son.

Will Democrats whistle past the graveyard and run a man who sucks any possible credibility out of the charges they cook up against Trump the same way that running Hillary did? They can ignore this stuff now, but they are not going to be able to get through the presidential campaign without this coming up. Not against Trump.

This should be a useful distinction.

What Joe and the Democrats want is for the rules they apply to Republicans to not apply to then. Why shouldn’t they? Roy Moore sleeps with the fishes politically with the help of Republican voters while Bob Menendez, credibly accused of using underaged trafficked “sex workers” holds onto his Senate seat. You can’t blame them, the when you’re a Democrat, the press let’s you!

Lot’s of what should be useful distinctions get smothered by people like Joe, who wanted to take Trump out to the schoolyard and beat him up because women gave Trump consent for stuff because he was a star. You would think that the fact that Trump specifically talked about getting women’s consent would be a "useful distinction,” but it wasn’t.

Biden complaining about being skewered by #METOO is like the guy who murdered his parents asking for mercy because he was an orphan.

We can't turn things over to "how it was received" rather than the intent. It's weird because I thought we went through this (and rejected it) in the 90s.

There is a line we must find between violating peoples' personal space, and making people afraid to touch other people. The internet can make us more and more isolated, and making touching a *bad* thing or a *violation* isn't good. Humans are meant to touch.
When my kids were in middle school, a group came to the school (it was in response to things like school shootings, drugs, and suicide) and taught the kids that physical hugs are a necessary part of life, and there was a goal of understanding other kids and then giving hugs like 10x a day. And now we are making people afraid to touch, and teaching people that being touched is violating them.
I wouldn't want to be touched by Biden the way he did it, but at the same time it isn't damaging in any way. I don't want to teach people that it's damaging.

This won't bring Biden down. After all, he is a Democrat.

What will bring him down is strong-arming the Ukrainian government into stopping an investigation into the dealings of a company that son Hunter was a board member of.

Unless the press wipes it, like with a cloth, or smothers it with a pillow.

Maybee, nobody is suggesting that hugs among people who have established relationships is problematic. It’s the idea of intimate contact initiated by a powerful person on a less powerful person without any relationship or permission being established. It’s not just the hugs, smelling a woman’s hair is a pretty intimate thing. Usually reserved for husbands, boyfriends, or lovers. In America there is supposedly no droit de seigneur. But obviously there is.

I watched Tucker and Heather last night (FOX, sue me) and on this issue--if few others--I'm with Pelosi. I think the hugging epidemic of the last few decades needs to be reversed.

To paraphrase somebody above: If you're not my wife, my kid, or my dog, I don't want to hug you . . and sometimes I'd rather shake hands with them.

I once had a boss, real estate sales manager, who was a hugger, hand-holder, and space-invader to all, young, old, male, female. He would take your hand and pretty much make you claim it back. Creepy as hell.

When I ended up back in academe where I belonged, in libraries, I had to endure a lot of hugs, and as more women went into university admin at large I found the whole dynamic shifting toward Hollywood hugs and celebrity cheekpecks. It had been bad enough when I was an undergrad, when most physical contact was of the old-boy back-slap locker-room mode, now it's a full spectrum assault.

I should have a big lapel button. "You Can Look, But Don't Touch!"

To "Nobody" -- I read the forehead-to-forehead gesture as an attempt to bridge a divide with intimacy, and to BREAK a boundary in a way that is opposite to droit de seigneur. It is Joe trying to say, we are together, can't you feel it?

I'm not sure I would like it. I would find it especially strange and off-putting from a neighbor, let's say. So there is some bit of the seigneur involved with what Joe is trying to do, but I think it is an American small-d democratic gesture, not one of feudal ownership. And that is one reason there are no reports of him dragging someone behind the bushes (none that I'm aware of, at least!).

Two comments: A society where everyone treats everyone else as if they had a cold is a sick society. It's devoid of human warmth.

Second, I wish women would make up their collective mind about this. When I started working in the late 1980's, one of the things I was taught -- as part of a workshop our HR department put all new hires through -- was women felt excluded from the workplace because their need to make an emotional connection with the people they worked with were not being met. It was pointed out that women generally hug each other rather than just exchange handshakes. Studies, we were told, showed that men should be willing to give a polite hug to their female co-workers. We even practiced giving such hugs in the workshop.

It was uncomfortable for me to give a light, non-sexual, hug to my co-workers and other women I met in professional settings. But, I was taught this is what women want and need. So, now, we're going back to a mere handshake? That's fine by me. Just don't complain that the office is too cold and sterile and your emotional needs for connection aren't being met.

These are his people coming for him. The sexual assault allegations are coming if he doesn’t stay out of the race. This inappropriate public touching was a gentle warning.

Rapist Joe is coming next.

Some women claim that they found Joe's hugs supportive and encouraging. Other women had a less affirmative experience. I guess these other women have won the debate. Hugs have gone the way of courtly bows.

I have no sympathy for Joe Biden, nor do I have sympathy for touchy, emotionally engaging people, especially those that do as Biden does: get inside someone's personal space with which they don't have a long term or familial relationship. Seriously, where does this urge to embrace and touch people you don't really know come from?

Pelosi's advice is hilarious. My advice is quite simple: Just Don't.

Sarah Hoyt at Insty . found this gem. Great article that has changed my mind about Biden.

"Nobody has accused Biden of rape. They’ve accused him of behaving inappropriately, in a way that caused them discomfort, and – this is important, y’all – in a public setting where they were part of the display. Where they felt inhibited against pulling away, telling him to back off, slapping his face, or whatever else women are supposed to do when a man puts his hands where they are not wanted. Being grabby isn’t rape. But it’s also not okay. And when you choose to do it where the woman concerned feels that to object might be a breech of decorum that would harm the political party you both belong to, it actually is 'coercive immoral behavior', Tucker."
