Barr is about to speak.

But it's time for my Pilates lesson, so you're on your own for now.

UPDATE: I'm back, but I've got a bunch of things to do. You'll have to enjoy/rail against the great Muellering on your own.

Here's the text. Search and you shall find!

UPDATE 2: Have you had a nice day? I spent some of it listening to the cable news channels on the satellite radio in the car, but it got repetitious and overemotional so I retreated to my audiobook. Do I have to blog about the Mueller report? Obviously, not.

Yep, we should have a team of dem hacks appointed to investigate this somehow with unlimited access to information and unlimited resources.

We could call it something cool, like a "Special Counsel" or something.

Yah, I've seen this go down before, during the Gore recount.

Those of you annoyed by him are in for a special treat. Stock up on popcorn. As he will craft new realities that maintain his anti-Trump narrative, reaching more and more outlandish scenarios to preserve his self-image as a "hero". Already he has cast Barr and Instapundit as windmills to tilt at. Eventually, he will put himself in contradiction with his remaining principles and the daily tension will lead to madness.

In short, the Cuck Traitor is about to create his own hell on earth.

Enjoy the show.

Regarding Strzok's text about the "Insurance Policy"

"I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office - that there's no way he [Trump] gets elected – but I'm afraid we can't take that risk. It's like a life insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40" (March 4, 2016).

So, what precisely was the "insurance" policy, at or near the time Trump got the nomination?

Recall Crossfire Hurricane was initiated on July 31, 2016, and the first Carter Page FISA Warrant was issued October 21, 2016.

And, why were FBI agents talking about Trump in March 2016, BEFORE there was any Trump investigation or FISA Warrants?

Well, they were formulating a "plan" to blunt the political damage to Hillary from the valid investigation into her e-mails and server, by conjuring up a bogus investigation against Trump.

For the first time, an establishment guy has had the scales fall from his eyes and has been put in a position of power to do what is right to try and provide justice, clean up the mess and re-set an appropriate course for the Agencies involved.

But is it too late?

Have the lefties and LLR's moved us so far down the authoritarian state track that it is unrecoverable?

The media is now openly and undeniably (though this has been true for decades) an arm of the democrats so I dont think the dems/left/LLR-left are capable of resetting, so there will be significant conflict ahead of us.

Sort if an Opposite-Gorbachev-Soviet scenario where Gorby attempted to salvage the Soviet state but it went the other way.

In our case Barr will attempt to stop the left/LLR's from taking us over the marxist cliff...but in the end I think he will fail, despite a valiant effort over the last 2 years.

Barr: That's how the facts lay out?

Mueller: Well yes. Kind of. I mean, my people worked really hard on it so we're going to not not indict him.

Barr: You're going to not indict him, right.

Mueller: No, we're going to not not indict him.

Barr: I don't understand. That's not something under the law.

Mueller: Yes, but it's Trump so Weissman's made a pretty persuasive argument that normal law doesn't apply here.

Rosenstein: The New York Times precedent?

Mueller: Exactly. By simply not indicting, people might think he's innocent and we cannot have them come to that conclusion. It would be really, really bad for most of our friends and relatives who have to continue working in this town. Besides, we see him operating outside the norms every day. And the tweeting. THE F*UCKING TWEETING!!!!

Barr: (says nothing)

Mueller: Sorry. Lost it there for a moment. So that's what we're going with: not not guilty.

Barr: And what do you want me to do with that?

Mueller: Read the evidence. Come to your own conclusion. We don't care. Seriously, if you decide to not not not indict him, you're squarely within the facts.

Barr: Right. I think I'm following you. Not, not, not...

Mueller: Oh and here's my bill. You'll see there is a surcharge for the novel legal thinking here.

Barr: Yes. I'm not not not going to pay it.

No one can prove that exact discussion didn't occur.

Now if Barr was wont to skewer, he might have alluded to:

Victoria Nuland, a top State Department official dealing with Russia under Obama, told the Senate intelligence committee that Moscow seemed to have slowed its influence campaign after Obama made “a stern and personal warning” to Russian President Vladimir Putin in September 2016.

But she said the campaign seemed to accelerate during October, using social media platforms to spread false narratives as the Nov. 8 Election Day approached.

“I think it’s probably the case that the Russians expected deterrent measures and didn’t see them, and so felt they could keep pushing,” Nuland said.

Imagine a world in which Mueller was unwilling to pursue a subpoena for presidential testimony. Imagine that world because Trump would have fought the SC and demanded they reveal the reason for needing to interview the president.

Mueller left the interview undone because going to court would have exposed his political team to scrutiny.

Further, imagine a world in which Hillary's illegal bathroom server filled with state secrets has been unplugged for three years and Trump was asking for somebody to make those E-mails public. Surely Trump has a time machine and lied to Mueller's investigators about his ability to time travel. How else would Trump have known to campaign in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania? How else could he have convinced Hillary to avoid swing states?

The Report is mostly a piece of nothing. 95% of it is extensive inquiry into unimportant and uninteresting details of non-criminal stuff.

Yeah, some Russian cybergeeks put some malware on some DNC computers. Not good, but had no impact on the election.

My chief take-home point is that Don McGahn is kind of a hero. Trump got emotional after Mueller was appointed, and discussed firing his ass, but thankfully didn't. McGahn helped Trump to not fire Mueller.

Mueller spent pages evaluating whether it was obstruction to discuss firing Mueller.

Much about nothing. Kinda Seinfeld-esque.

The "no big there" quote got me searching on the author's current status. Not much..err..there..but I came across this lovely verbal squirm:

Strzok was also asked by Art Baker, the GOP investigative counsel for the committee, whether that affair could have made him "vulnerable to potential recruitment" by "hostile intelligence service[s]."

“Yeah, I don’t think I would characterize it that way,” Strzok said. “I think it is not so much any particular action as it is the way that action might be used to coerce or otherwise get somebody to do something. I can tell you that in no way would that extramarital affair have any power in coercing me to do anything other than obeying the law and doing honest, competent investigation."

Baker continued to press Strzok as to whether the affair could have been a “vulnerability” should he have been approached by a foreign intelligence service.

“I would absolutely respond not, you know – and, well getting into you know terms of art here, one argument is you would tell the service, ‘Let me get back to you.’ I would immediately go report that to my superiors and see how they wanted to follow up,” Strzok explained. “But it is—I absolutely would not have been vulnerable or even let alone consider any sort of recruitment attempt.”

They would be telling us how such a report is never supposed to be released at all if there are no charges, and they would be right. We may yet get to see that happen if we get to investigate the investigation as is badly needed. Treason at an unprecedented level is what I suspect has happened.

“BASED ON THE FACTS”, Mueller could NOT. Exonerate Trump of Obstruction of Justice.

“ … could NOT …? No, WOULD not. Mueller apparently thought that Trump tweeting “witch-hunt,” and being otherwise openly pissed off at being unfairly, probably illegally, targeted and spied on was evidence of obstruction by Trump. Typical Mueller bullshit. Barr, who seems to do things by the rules, disagreed. I see Trump’s anger as perfectly understandable and justified now by the report itself.

In hindsight I believe Mueller would have better served the anti-Trumpers if he had wrapped this thing up in the first few weeks – or maximum, a few months, instead of the years that Mueller used to milk the investigation.

Readers, I think we can understand why. First, the investigation needed to be stretched out for the mid-terms. There needed to be a cloud of suspicion over Trump’s head during the elections.

Second, the investigation was a veritable factory of leaks pissed directly to their trusty media allies, which was important in order to keep the anti-Trump narrative humming along like a Henry Ford assembly line.

And of course there were lives to ruin in order to falsely “demonstrate” that Mueller actually accomplished something with the witch-hunt.

But after 2+ years of a constant barrage by the Media with no real payoff at the end I think the general, essentially apolitical public is tired of the anti-Trump propaganda. CNN is feeling the backlash for sure.

1. Some Russian cyber geeks caused mischief in the campaign, but it was relatively minor, and had no impact on the election results. Mueller indicted a few of these geeks, but will never try them in court of law. So, no closure there.

2. There was no collusion between Russia and Trump. None. Complete Exoneration.

3. Obstruction is total bullshit. Trump was being targeted by Comey and McCabe and Strzok, sensed something was up, but couldn't get on top of it. He had no help from the inept Sessions, was almost goaded into firing Mueller, but didn't and let Mueller investigate to his heart's delight.

4. Weismann tried to conjure up an Obstruction charge, but ultimately Mueller couldn't stomach it, so he punted the question to Barr, who put it to rest.

Drago: "But is it too late?"

With you there. Is this really a Victory? Or did we just salvage an Orderly Retreat from a Complete Rout.

A President's first 100 days is his most effective. And Trump was handicapped by this attempted coup. Time and energy had to be spent dealing with it, time and energy that belonged to the Americans who elected him. Sure, Trump has accomplished much, but how much more could he have done without being hamstrung by the coup?

And Mueller obviously influenced the Democrat takeover of the House, creating gridlock to block Trump for the remainder of this term.

Also, will any of those involved in this failed coup face ANY consequences?

If I was a Deep Stater who's fallback plan was to slow the Swamp Drainer down and wait out his term, I would not be unhappy with this outcome.

And this is what got me at odds with Fuzzy Slippers over at Legal Insurrection and why I left them - we need to stop cheering tbat the village was saved, it never should have been targeted to begin. We neex to identify the sites (like Fusion GPS) that the missiles were launched from and obliterate them. By the book if possible. But if they are above the law, we must employ measures outside the law.

Or we're going to be reacting to another attack that we allowed to happen month after month after month.

So celebrate tonight, but be geared up and ready to roll out at 0600.

Actually, that is pretty much what happened with President Bill Clinton and the Whitewater/Starr investigations. There wasn't much room for Clinton to claim executive privilege as Nixon did, but of course there was the decision in the case of Jones v. Clinton in which some elements of executive privilege (which were roundly defeated in the federal courts) were litigated. But no escape for Bill Clinton.

If Congress tries to impeach Trump later this year or early next, it will only bolster his re-election chances in November 2020. First, a Republican Senate will never vote to Impeach a Republican President based on these obstruction of justice charges. Second, it would open up most of the anti-Trump witnesses to cross examination, under oath and under camera.

Further, we had evidence then and later that Bill Clinton directed underlings to do as he did: lie under oath.

I like this question by Fen:

"Is this really a Victory? Or did we just salvage an Orderly Retreat from a Complete Rout."

It's more of the latter.

The Left craves power. With it, they can then undo the American experiment. That's their chief aim.

In a few months, this episode will be in the rearview mirror, and the Left will move on to the next hysteria. I have no idea if the Inspector General Horowitz and/or AG Barr will bring the Deep Staters to account. Maybe they will, maybe not.

Regardless, it's gonna be a close election in 2020. Ultimately, let's say the economy goes south, and the Dems defeat Trump at the ballot box. They will sing and dance in the streets, and this sorry episode will fade away. They will get to do their thing with glee and fervor.

So, this is more of an orderly retreat. The battle over the next SCOTUS judge will be a major skirmish, the election will be a war.

My 2 cents, could be wrong.
