"AG Barr to release redacted Mueller report within week."

The Washington Times reports.
"My original timetable of being able to release this by mid-April stands," he said." So I think that from my standpoint, by within a week, I will be in a position to release to the report to the public."
ADDED: Barr identified 4 types of redaction:
"First is grand jury information…The second is information that the the intelligence community believes would reveal intelligence sources and methods. The third are information in the report that could interfere with ongoing prosecutions. You’ll recall that the special counsel did spin off a number of cases that are still being pursued. And we want to make sure that none of the information in the report would impinge upon either the ability of the prosecutors to prosecute the cases, or the fairness to the defendants. And finally, we intend to redact information that implicated the privacy or reputational interest of peripheral players where there is a decision not to charge them."
Does "peripheral player" mean anyone about whom "there is a decision not to charge"? If yes, then Trump is a peripheral player. Will the redactions protect Trump's privacy and reputational interest? Should they?

The left will continue to marinade in the conspiracy that Trump stole the election from its rightful owner, with help from Poot and his Oligarchs. The true report is hiding Trump's true guilt.

Mr. Mueller is smart enough to know how to mix classified and non-classified materials in ways that make it easy to redact without making the substance unintelligible, or not so easy. So let’s see how that plays out.

I predict there will be much extrapolation, reading between the lines, inferencing, haruspicy and other divinations of grave crimes. The Media and the Dems (BIRM) will devote untold resources to this effort.

I heard that Robert "The FBI Whitewasher" Mueller found that Seth Rich committed suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head twice with a pistol manufactured in Russia. Mueller included that finding in his report.

However, William Barr did not mention that finding in his summary.

Watching the hearings now.
Democrats keep repeating they can do more than one thing at a time. Invesigations continuing on President Trump will not interfere with their ability to govern. They can chew gum and walk at the same time.

This hearing proves they cannot. The Democrat questions are all about the Mueller report, or, children in cages. Not about the DoJ Budget review. All gum chewing, no walking.

I wonder if Robert "The FBI Whitewasher" Mueller's report will provide evidence that the Concord Management company conspired to meddle in the USA's 2016 election.

Concord Management appeared to the court, but all information about the legal proceedings has disappeared from the public's view.

In discovery, Mueller has tried to bury Concord Management's American lawyers with a gazillion Internet files that must be kept secret -- secret even from Concord Management. This legal misconduct is typical for Mueller, a despicable bully.

The Democrats had a Plan A:

1. If Mueller indicts Trump (or is prevented from doing so due to DOJ guidelines), then Impeach!

But Mueller sez no evidence of collusion, and punts the obstruction issue to Barr.

So, those rascally Dems turn to Plan B

2. Scour the Mueller Report for all juicy tidbits that fell short of indictable offenses, and Impeach anyway!

But Barr set the narrative, and held back the Mueller Report for a key month to allow the new narrative (no collusion, no obstruction) to firmly bake. So, the Dems turn to Plan C.

3. Give us the Mueller Report now and Barr is biased!!!

Well, politely go fuck off. You'll get the Mueller Report, after its properly redacted, and not before.

AG Barr is an American hero.

So we’ll do it because, ya know, winging it has worked out so well.

In the conventional sense, Trump is a "peripheral player" who was not charged.
In this scheme, he is a covered occurrence in the "insurance policy."
Perhaps this will be a limited, modified hangout.

If Barr is defining those not charged as peripheral, then yes, absolutely, Trump's privacy and reputational interest need to be preserved.

Just because he got elected President doesn't mean he lost all the normal rights of the individual human person in U.S. law.

Does it?

Barr can read a map. Poppy Bush is dead and the old loyalists need Trump.

Amadeus 48 said...

Here are the facts that matter:

1. Mueller found no coordination or collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign.
2. Mueller did not find facts that enabled him to conclude that Trump should be charged with obstruction of justice. How do we know? Mueller did not recommend that the DOJ charge Trump with obstruction of justice.

The rest of the report is a bunch of things that support these two facts. Yawn.

Now let’s find out what those snakes at the FBI, DOJ, and CIA were doing. I want to see Sally Yates frogmarched out of her office.

This is probably a bit off topic. But it still does pertain to Trump and privacy.

Peripheral player is a very big deal when it comes to the demand to see Trump's tax returns.

First, the tax returns of an entity like Trump are not just personal returns. There are layers and layers of corporate, non profit and other business entity tax returns. They aren't just a standard form of tax return. Very very complicated.

Much of the information in the totality of Trump's returns is also the information of other, peripheral persons

If I were one of those peripheral persons whose personal and private tax information may also be disclosed....I would be suing to high Heaven to be allowed to keep my business and personal information private.

Of course the Dims don't give a flying F about who they destroy in their zeal to reverse an election.

I would love to hear from the resident physician who was barred from the GW ICU when Rich, still alive, was admitted.

Of course, if he/she plans to practice in DC, I can understand keeping the mouth shut.

They should respect Trump's privacy.

They don't.

Sketchy sources.

ER doc who says he operated on him.

“In the meantime he was transferred to the ICU and transfused with 2 units of blood when his post-surgery crit came back ~20. He was stable and not on any pressors, and it seemed pretty routine. About 8 hours after he arrived we were swarmed by LEOs [Law Enforcement Officers] and pretty much everyone except the attending [physician] and a few nurses were kicked out of the ICU (disallowing visiting hours…not something we do routinely). It was weird as hell.

“At turnover [change of shift] that morning, we were instructed not to round [check up] on the VIP that came in last night (that’s exactly what the attending [physician] said, and no one except for me and another resident had any idea who he was talking about).

“No one here was allowed to see Seth except for my attending [physician] when he died. No code was called. I rounded [checked-up] on patients literally next door but was physically blocked from checking in on him. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and while I can’t say 100% that he was allowed to die, I don’t understand why he was treated like that. Take it how you may…I’m just one low level doc. Something’s fishy though, that’s for sure.”

Journalist Bill Still reaches out to this anonymous doctor, offering to simulcast a live chat during FoxNews’ Hannity Show, if he would like to elaborate on the details of his story further. Still suggests that this would be an ideal way to guarantee this doctor’s safety, saying, “This is the most dangerous time for you…when a well-connected and crooked investigator can determine your identity and location in an hour…We would be happy to do a Skype video with you right away. Fox producers and even show hosts do watch this channel. That will immediately give you much more protection than you have now…I don’t have to explain to this audience what’s at stake, here. From this point, it just wouldn’t take very much work for an honest team of investigators from the FBI to take it from here. This could take down the entire cabal and vanquish the climate of fear that hangs over this whole town [Washington, DC].”

To my knowledge, the anonymous doctor has yet to respond.

another version.

A 4-year resident surgeon at Washington Hospital Center claims that Seth Rich was alive and recovering well in facility’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being treated for a total of 3 routine gunshot wounds — that is until a number of law enforcement officers arrived eight hours later kicking most everyone out of the ICU and physically barring doctors and others from attending to Rich.

The surgeon who witnessed this bizarre behavior decided to come forth with the information despite the fact that he or she may be easy to identify.

Posted on May 17, to 4chan under the anonymous ID: “rhotYJAg,” the surgeon wrote:

4th year surgery resident here who rotated at WHC (Washington Hospital Center) last year, it won’t be hard to identify me but I feel that I shouldn’t stay silent.

Seth Rich was shot twice, with 3 total gunshot wounds (entry and exit, and entry). He was taken to the OR emergently where we performed an exlap and found a small injury to segment 3 of the liver which was packed and several small bowel injuries (pretty common for gunshots to the back exiting the abdomen) which we resected ~12cm of bowel and left him in discontinuity (didn’t hook everything back up) with the intent of performing a washout in the morning. He did not have any major vascular injuries otherwise. I’ve seen dozens of worse cases than this which survived and nothing about his injuries suggested to me that he’d sustained a fatal wound.

In the meantime he was transferred to the ICU and transfused 2 units of blood when his post-surgery crit came back ~20. He was stable and not on any pressors, and it seemed pretty routine. About 8 hours after he arrived we were swarmed by LEOs and pretty much everyone except the attending and a few nurses was kicked out of the ICU (disallowing visiting hours -normally every odd hour, eg 1am, 3am, etc- is not something we do routinely). It was weird as hell. At turnover that morning we were instructed not to round on the VIP that came in last night (that’s exactly what the attending said, and no one except for me and another resident had any idea who he was talking about).

Oh, I can understand. Whoever wrote that was a doc and probably a surgeon. The terms are just what a resident surgeon would say.

Two friends of mine had long careers at GW, one as a professor of orthopedic surgery. He did Averill Harriman's total hips but he died a few years ago. His widow is also an orthopedic surgeon, trained at GW, but she has Alzheimers.

I suspect Rich's parents got more than Mary Jo's did and there is also the threat of crossing Hillary.

We might find out in a few years. I have seen talks by the surgeon who treated Kennedy. Also by a Navy doc on the ship off Beruit when the Marine baracks was blown up. This one will be secret for years. Too much money and threats.

That it is the difference right there, Inga- I can discount the things I read when no one will put their actual name to it. It is why I don't regularly post links to stories with no first hand, or even second-hand, sources day in and day out like you do- stories that regularly turn out to be false not even a day later.

Yes, they should treat Trump as a peripheral player for purposes of the Mueller Report. This is a legal, prosecutorial report and should live within those rules.

If some people want a document to use politically, that's what impeachment is for, and Congress can carry out such an investigation.

Mueller could have identified a real crime committed by Trump, including actual obstruction, and subpoenaed the President to appear before a Grand Jury.

Trump would have refused and then Mueller, with a real crime predicate in hand, could have taken the President to Court all the way up to the Supremes...and with a real crime predicate in hand he would have won at the SC and forced Trump to testify.

But there was no real crime, ever. It was all made up.

Made up like your lunacy about the Russian commies invading Poland from the East in order to oppose Hitler's invasion from the West.

Conservatives can't keep enduring these attacks. The Marxist Left is like a terror org, we can retreat behind static defenses year after year, turn rout after rout into an orderly retreat and calling that a "victory"... but like Al Queda, the Left only has to get lucky once.

Like Britain's vote to join the EU. The trap snaps shut and their votes never count for anything ever again.

Kavanaugh was a win? He never should have been in jeopardy to begin with. Mueller was a win? A lesser Republican like Mittens would have folded and resigned, followed by a weak VP, handing the WH over to Pelosi of all people.

We keep narrowly escaping Alpha Strikes that never should have happened to begin with and calling it victory. We need to identify the missile sites (hello Fusion GPS!) and nuke them from orbit.

Anyone who has played sports knows this - we cannot keep playing defense, we should be counter-attacking 24/7.

But Republicans are pussies. Watch and see. I bet NOTHING happens to any of the people who orchestrated and attempted this soft coup. Which means they will only be emboldened to try it again.
