"Maybe the real Mueller report was the friends we made along the way."

Wrote Hunter, in last night's café.

This might be my #1 favorite comment ever.

ADDED: I think Hunter was repeating something that was already out there on the web. Not sure who said it first.

The Mueller investigation was supposed to be a quick three-hour cruise. It has turned into a seemingly endless series of idiotic statements/actions by the Democrats and NeverTrumpers.

Looking around the internet this morning, it seems to me that the Mueller Report is not the end, or the beginning of the end, it is the end of the beginning. The "Smart Set" has decided that Trump is not a legitimate president because "STFUP" and must be discredited in order to demonstrate to us deplorable dummies that we were wrong for voting for him. If that takes tearing the US apart, well that's a price they are willing to pay.

You’ve always had the Mueller Report, my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself.

So Hillary is President now?

Add two years and three months to Trump's presidency to make up for lost time and dissuade anyone from ever doing this again.

The next election is Feb. 2022.

Haha. If only politics could be played like the NCAA tournament.

Would Trump be Duke? Murray State?

I'd love to do an audit of CNN, MSNBC, NPR, etc. over the last couple years. How many hours/days/weeks/months did they spend on fraudulent stories? Collusion tops them all. Only the most idiotic Leftwing activist actually thought there was anything to it, everyone else knew it was garbage, but that story grew legs and ran. To nowhere of course, but it ran all the same. Now, the same people who were duped by the Kavanaugh story, the Covington story, the Smollett story, and countless other examples of transparent bullshittery will come up with something new. They have to. The alternative is that they admit they were wrong for years and years and on many levels. And that is unthinkable. They will continue to consume "News" from the same sources that they know for a fact have been misleading them, and they'll wonder why thinking people ignore every word they say. It's sad for the country, but it's fucking hilarious from my viewpoint. I can't wait to see the next bucket of shit they dump on their own heads.

The mueller investigation has made me aware of the corruption and anti democratic forces in our establishment.

The level of dirty tricks by the fbi and associates has surprised me, plus the one sidedness of the investigation.

I used to think Mueller and the fbi as non political, now I see them as swap creatures. I don’t like the lack of ethics at all. Mueller has a history of whitewashing / ignoring real times. Not what I would have expected / known about two years ago.

Examples include Epstein, uranium 1, whitey bulgar, jailing an innocent in Boston, cnn stone notification, choice of staff for this investigation, politicizing the fbi, no Podesta, etc.

Tapper (I used to admire him!), after being the reporter to have Big Breaking News about the dossier, has decided to focus his twitter feed tonight on his daughter, Desert Storm trading cards, and news about the movie based on his book The Outpost.

I had seen him accused of hiding behind his love for the troops (which I believe is sincere) when times get controversial for him. Tonight it seems especially true. He is stepping on their dicks.

Althouse is being too fuzzy and soft here.

Prosecutors have enormous power. Out of control prosecutors can use that enormous power to wreck lives. Ask Ted Stevens. Ask Richsrd Jewel.

These assholes, Comey and McCabe, cheered on by their Democrat allies, tried to take down Trump, his family and his businesses.

Very few normal targets would have survived this prosecutorial inquest. Good for Trump for weathering this storm, but there will and should be payback.

Well, they can all go ahead and die now, disappointed it seems.

Apparently we won't have to wait 12 years for the end of life as we know it.

They weren't duped. They were trying to dupe us. They are constantly frustrated when their dirty pool doesn't work, but it works often enough for them to make it worthwhile.

Does he float? Would he cry? Can we, should we, separate logical domains? The warlock hunts and trials... We now have insight into the ideological bent and motive of people who carried out the witch hunts and trials. #HateLovesAbortion

For me the key takeaway is how insufferably smug, and how thoroughly mediocre, the Swamp denizens are. How much are Wolf Bitzer and Rachel Maddow paid to be ignorant jerks on camera? Who thought Comey should ever rise above Special Agent? Oh! It was Mueller, wasn’t it? Explains a lot.

Hollywood jumped all over Jackie Chan's shit when he replied to criticism of China as being "the most corrupt" by saying that "America is just as corrupt". I repeat my Lethal Weapon quote, "So who's the dickhead now, eh?"
If Hillary had won, we'd be so fucked forever!

We need healthy bipartisan politics in this country. It's past time that the Dems put their failed 2016 election and their failed candidate behind them for good. The D-team has no viable candidate to beat Trump in 2020 -- mostly because they refuse to embrace bipartisan ideas and they appear "beholdered" to identity politics. They should probably just focus on other offices for the time being. They can grow viable future candidates once they rid their ranks of the sort of corruption which failed them in 2016.

I have to confess I stole that line from someone else. But I’m glad to have brightened your day.

Also, it’s a little surreal to open a blog you’ve followed for more than a decade and see your name front-paged. Lol. Thanks prof. Big fan.

Remember that the Washington Post and New York Times shared the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting "For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration."

Somewhere Walter Duranty is smiling.

There won't be. I once quipped: "What's the most effective way to punish a father of two girls" and was answered with contempt.

These people are destroying the Republic and enslave our children to the State. And our concept of a counter-attack is like the British marching rank and file under drum and flute, seeking to engage at 20 paces while our officers are picked off by sniper fire.

Solzhenitsyn called it:

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward." - Gulag Archipelago

We don't love freedom enough to do what is required.

Shots fired.

When I was stationed at Camp Lejeune, we had an Air Officer who was constantly bashing the Dallas Cowboys (I'm a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, fan from the days of Roger Staubach)

So after a season of this, his team finally meets my Cowboys. And are mauled, by something like 36-6.

Next day the Captain is back at it, bashing my Cowboys. I finally lose my cool: "With respect Sir, when your team gets crushed, you are not allowed to talk trash for at least a week. So sit down and shut up"

A few people here could learn from that. But they have no shame.
Interesting psychological profile, these folks without shame.
