It never was going to happen that Joe Biden was going to select Stacy Abrams as his running-mate.
“Part of my opportunity right now is that I have a number of options I didn’t know about before." (Said Abrams.)
That's part of the upside of losing. Tons and tons of options.
Very interesting that Stacey Abrams is a writer of romance thrillers. It takes some focus and skill to get published.
She should try for second place at the next salad bar.
Well so far her job seems to not include paying back the $200,000 in student loan debt and back taxes that she owed as of her campaign financial disclosures. (If she has now paid it off -- and that is certainly a possibility -- it would sure be interesting to know where that kind of rapid income came from.)
She can sit anywhere she wants.

Abrams is smart but very, very crooked. Yes, she's written some mystery books. But she's not running for an Edgar Award. Otherwise, she has a typical crooked politician's record of dodging real work, getting big ticket paydays through no-show "nonprofit" gigs and, even worse, a no-show gig with a sketchy financial firm that benefits from government contracting. And her explanation for not paying her taxes while pulling in all these simultaneous "paychecks" doesn't make any sense -- the timeline makes no sense. Kemp was polite about it during the Georgia governor's race. She didn't return the favor.
The MSM is helping her bury her scandals for now, but they'll come out, and she won't be on anyone's ticket.
She refuses to concede the Georgia Governor's race, claiming she lost only due to imaginary "minority voter suppression." Those numbers don't fly either. You can only get attention with fake claims of race persecution for so long, it turns out.
She's got a lot of dark money coming in. Probably safe for now, but it would be a mistake to get into to hot of a spotlight.

She's just like Tara Palmer-Tompkinson, Tamara Beckwith, Amanda de Cadenet, Normandie Keith, Lady Isabella Hervey--except she's different. Nobody knows why she's famous, though--just like them.

I've never seen a person make so much hay out of losing an election. Oh wait...there's Beto. On the other hand, Abrams has a horrid record of using both Gummint and the cloak of non-profit to make her living. And not in an ethical fashion.
But Stacy- she's a hero for the ethically challenged Dems.
She came close, but lost in Georgia. And she's going to milk that for 2-4 more years if she can. Joe Biden is a fool if he's seriously thinking of taking her onto a ticket. You want a woman on the ticket? Great! You want a black woman? Fantastic! Go find someone with talent and ethics. They're all over the place. All you gotta do is look past the talking heads.
Althouse watches The View? That takes some serious fortitude. My mother Tivos it, and I have to leave the room if she starts an episode.

There are those who in fact, run for the money.
Running for President is highly lucrative. It is better than speaking fees.
Take Senator Sanders for instance. He declared himself an independent. What this means, is he doesn't have to serve on any committee. He is free to attend, or not attend Congress.
By running, he gets millions for what essentially is a speaking tour. He isn't missed in Congress, as he has no job there. His vote, by and large, doesn't matter.

No. I read The Daily Beast (which is where my link goes).
I find all TV news hard to take. I watch almost none of it. I read the news. I'll find video when I have specific things to blog.
I used to watch the Sunday morning talk shows, but I quit mostly quite a while back. I don't like the anxiety over Trump.

I wouldn't want to be 2nd banana to Joe Biden under any circumstances.
I can't think of anything more stomach turning than watching Stacy Abrams on The View.
Abrams is a powerful black woman. Her education in ways of the power structure in Atlanta is top drawer. Do not misunderestmate her.

I was going to ask you, when the VP thing was first teased, whether Abrams was a meathead. But then I remembered you just like to blabber endlessly. When those 85000(?) sealed indictments are opened and 85000 Democrats go to jail, then I'll take your opinion on Stacey Abrams.
To me she looks like a meathead. It fits because who would Joe Biden choose except a meathead?
"The Tank" has already won the race--for the title of stupidest and ugliest of the candidates.
