Let's be fair. Kamala didn't ride her husband's coattails to the top the way Hillary did. She got ahead the old-fashioned way, by screwing older guys who could do her favors.

The defense rests.

"Got ahead" is just a figure of speech, dammit! Dirty minds...

Outta curiosity, how many folks in San Francisco got busted for smoking dope, while District Attorney Kamala Harris was inhaling and laughing and sucking Willie Brown's aged member?

Such stupid, petty and idiotic lies. And this is the presumed Golden Girl front runner Democrat. Hell, they might as well run Hillary again. With Hillary its all out there; grifter, criminal and traitor. I rather doubt there is much of anything more to be discovered on Hillary.

gspencer said...

Yep, she listened to Tupac and Snoop just after she listened to the riveting/exciting tapes of Hillary's parents narrate their perilous journey up Mount Everest in 1947, while Mrs. Rodham was pregnant, together with Edmund Hillary. Upon arriving back at Base Camp, after their successful summitting of the world's highest peak, Mrs. Rodham gave birth. The Rodhams decided to honor Edmund by naming their new daughter Hillary.

"Sir Edmund Hillary, the lanky New Zealand mountaineer and explorer who with Tenzing Norgay, his Sherpa guide, won worldwide acclaim in 1953 by becoming the first to scale the 29,035-foot summit of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak, died Friday in Auckland, New Zealand. He was 88."

Bay Area Guy said...

1. In 1986, Kamala Harris graduated college (Howard University in DC).
2. In 1971, Tupac was born.
3. In 1986, Tupac and was a sophomore at Dunbar High (great school!) in Maryland.

Hmm. There's a slight plausibility factor there, since both Kammy and Tupac were in the DC area at or near the same time, although Kammy is 7 years older than Tupac.

Nonetheless, we need to see the yearbooks!

My goodness, my favorite liberal, Glenn Greenwald, of The Intercept, has struck again.

Here's the Intercept piece on Kamala Harris's run for SF DA in 2003.

Kammy was a "tough on crime" prosecutor. See her campaign flyers. Sent a lotta black dudes to jail. Got a lot of favors from Mayor Willie Brown

Brown was known to reward friends and allies. He gave Harris a brand-new BMW and also appointed her to two commissions in state government where, according to SF Weekly, she was paid $400,000 over five years. One of the positions, an appointment to the California Medical Assistance Commission, paid a $99,000 annual salary for attending two meetings a month.

Harris largely brushed off the criticism. “Willie Brown is not going to be around. He’s gone — hello people, move on. If there is corruption, it will be prosecuted. It’s a no-brainer, but let’s please move on,” she said in one interview. “His career is over; I will be alive and kicking for the next 40 years. I do not owe him a thing.”

Kamala Harris embraces Oakland, but the feeling ain't mutual.

Not all, however, reveled in Harris’ celebratory moment. To some in Oakland, a city of tender pride, the homecoming rang false, like a distant relative showing up just long enough to pose for a smiling family portrait.

“I would consider her more a San Franciscan than of Oakland,” said David Omosheyin, 57, pausing as he crossed the downtown plaza where the Democratic hopeful staged last month’s splashy rally. “It was a political move.”

If I had to make a guess about Harris' musical tastes in the college- given her background, I doubt it extended much beyond Duran Duran and Prince- not that there is anything wrong with Duran Duran or Prince, which I love listening to even today.

Correct me if I'm wrong (is there a transcript of the radio interview?):

Kamala Harris said she smoked marijuana in college, which could include law school, from which she graduated in 1989. But it's not claimed she said she stopped smoking marijuana when she graduated. Kamala also said she listened to Snoop and Tupac while smoking marijuana, but she didn't say she listened to them while in college. So there's no provably false statement, that's fake news.

One may infer that means Kamala smoked marijuana while serving as a prosecutor in California. California decriminalized possession of small amounts of marijuana in 1996 and legalized the recreational sales in 2018. So at most that's like someone admitting she had a drink during Prohibition.

I'm much more skeptical of supposed effects of the letter. Neil Young can piss the hell off, those two albums alone make his suggestion about the 80s the words of an lunatic

"No I don't speak any English, just American without tears"

Sometimes when politicians or celebrities or even more local lunatics speak about their past magnificence and or acts of relative hipness, I blur my eyes and ears a little and think of Flashman novels, or what those Tennessee moonshine runners say about stories sounding too good to be true.

( it ain't. )

Why not assume Kamala was correct in her memory of smoking pot and listening to Tupac and Snoop. The part she she got wrong was that she wasn’t in college, but was deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California at the time, 1990 to 1998.

"Kamala Harris graduated college in 1986"

This is like the British useage of being in hospital as opposed to being in the hospital.

KKH is so tough on crime, she will even use perjury and tamper with evidence to put innocent people in prison. She opposed to release of a man who had been exonerated by DNA testing.

And now you know why people respond to Chuck as they do.

I've never understood why those who know Chuck to be a troll nonetheless respond to him exactly as he desires. It's like a frog leg begging to be prodded with a live wire.

I don't need another reason, but this disqualifies her from public office in any free country, espcially this one.

Wait, I go it. How about a long row of wind turbines closely spaced and just barely clearing the ground all along the border?

I already proposed a wall of solar panels topped by wind turbines. Just think of all the energy independence.

Mr. Wiggin: This is a 12-story block combining classical neo-Georgian features with the efficiency of modern techniques. The tenants arrive here and are carried along the corridor on a conveyor belt in extreme comfort, past murals depicting Mediterranean scenes, towards the rotating knives. The last twenty feet of the corridor are heavily soundproofed. The blood pours down these chutes and the mangled flesh slurps into these...

Client 2: Do I take it that you are proposing to slaughter our tenants?

Mr. Wiggin: ...Does that not fit in with your plans?

Client 1: Not really. We asked for a simple block of flats.

OK, I got another idea, but I'm gonna patent this one:

All along the border we install a line of turnstiles that drive generators for endless, renewable energy... and votes. My Democrat fever dream is complete.

"It will be interesting to see if Harris deigns to mingle with the common folk and take the risk of an unscripted question in the primaries."

I would like to ask Harris a few follow-up questions:

1. Where did you get the marijuana? Who was your dealer? What was his name?

2. Have you ever used any other illegal drugs? Where did you get them? Who was your dealer? What was his name?

3. Did you ever provide illegal drugs to another person? Did you accept money for those drugs?

4. How many people have you prosecuted and sent to prison for dealing or using drugs?

She was surely playing "Big Time", released in 1986

I'm on my way, I'm making it
I've got to make it show, yeah
So much larger than life
I'M going to watch it growing

The place where I come from is a small town
They think so small
They use small words

But not me
I'm smarter than that
I worked it out
I've been stretching my mouth
To let those big words come right out

You don't get it. The universal goal is to turn Schlump out of office, not to ask fake news questions to the Democratic candidates for president in an attempt to humiliate her. The answer to all your deplorable questions is "Take a hike, loser!"

This. Could not. Be. Less. Newsworthy.

Future generations are already going to judge this era harshly. This just makes it worse.

Endless and renewable but not green- methane farts.

Hey, Trumpit. It’s going to be a great campaign. You are getting into the swing of things already. Now tell us why we should vote for Kamala without using the words “black”, “multiracial”, “beautiful”, “future”, or “Willie”.

I beg to differ...she gave LOTS of fucks.

I wouldn't say gave. $400,000 is a lot of money. Plus a car, that was classy.
