Louis C.K. is back and he's insulting young people for not acting crazy like he did when he was young.

And — oh, no! — it sounds right wing!

The headline at TMZ is "GOES AFTER PARKLAND VICTIMS... In Leaked Audio of New Stand-Up."

Does he "go after Parkland victims"? Well, I think he's saying the ones who are testifying before Congress are not victims, since they didn't get shot to death (because they "pushed some fat kid in the way"). His main point is that they should be out there enjoying their youth (mainly, it seems, through substance abuse) and not drearily lecturing the rest of us about what we should be doing.

ADDED: What is Louis C.K.'s path back into a career? It can't be by getting in good with the left-leaning people who banished him. He can never do enough, and if he tried, how could it be funny? I hear the audience laughing, and I assume there are plenty of people ready to laugh at a great comedian who pokes at the places were we feel anxious and we've been repressing ourselves. Laughter is a release, so there's plenty of laughter to be made out of things the mainstream culture has been so serious about. It is like Trump. It's a way to be transgressive, a way to have fun.

CORRECTION: I had "pushed some fat kid out of the way."

It's transgressive because of power not because it's wrong.

Who pays good money to see this pervert?

Given Louis C.K's permanent record of what he has said in the past, I believe the right lane is closed. I wouldn't believe a single nice word he says about the Right.

Well, he isn't going to say anything nice! That's not how comedy works. I loved George Carlin, and he was liable to go after everyone. I'm not picturing Louis CK seeking right wing fans. I am picturing him seeking people who are annoyed by the repressiveness of the left. Not all of those people are committed righties. I don't think he likes politics at all, and I have no idea what he's said in the pst about right-wing people. Whatever. You mean social conservatives?

He can clean shit off the sidewalks in San Francisco. No more big buck$$$ cushy celebrity lifestyle for him.

its very clear hes just going to tour red states for the rest of his life to rapturous crowds

Twitter guy meant it as a threat but he'e right- eventually all the comedians are all going to be on the Deplorables side of the fence. Louis CK will be free to work there.

Remember not everyone on the Deplorables side of the fence is a Deplorable.

All comedy is right-wing in the current era. That is part of the spirit of this era.

Well, he's pretty funny, so, if you like stand up, you might go see him. Mostly, when he talks about sex related items, he's not funny, but his other stuff is, which is why he was in the position to be abusive (or just weird) towards women. This excerpt is pretty much B+/A- material. I've seen a lot worse.

"...because they "pushed some fat kid out of the way"

CK said "pushed some fat kid in the way" as a human shield for themselves.

A poke at the skinny Hogg? And some measure of Hogg's self-regard over others?

I thought it was pretty funny.
I still wouldn't pay money to see him-maybe bring some canned goods for a food bank if he did a charity show.

The Stoneman kids were used very well by the lefties and the media.
Still, what have they actually accomplished?

As Hollywood pervs go, he's not all that evil. His crimes were more like impositions than assaults and more bizarre than creepy. As I understand it, he likes to masturbate in front of female comedians, and he asks their permission before doing so. How much outrage should one feel for such an offense?.......His perversion is its own punishment, How would you like to live a life where the only real sexual joy is jerking off in front of Kathy Griffin or Amy Schumer?

He was always known as an “edgy” comic by the left.

Today there is nothing edgy about left-wing comedy.

My mistake. Corrected. Thanks.

Louis CK was invited to speak at a Memorial to George Carlin. What he said shed some light on what he does and what Carlin did.

Looks like his ordeal seriously grayed him.

He can start off by saying: “But I thought most of standup comedy WAS jerking off in public in front of anyone willing to watch.”

And the uncredited writer at TMZ apparently has a stick up xer ass about the whole "non-binary people" thing as well. Newsflash: Just because you identify as a giraffe doesn't mean that you are really going to be able to nibble the leaves off the tops of trees... Well, without a ladder, anyway.

How is anything he said right wing?

Perhaps if progs wouldn't try to make literally everything political, we wouldn't have Trump.

Howard said...

Anti Left PC isn't right wing, because righties, like women, are not funny.

Anti Left PC isn't right wing

Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock aren't right wing, but they might as well be.

Kudos to Louis CK for not kowtowing to SJW outrage machine. He's obviously decided he's not going to slink away and he's not going to play their game and try to guess what he can and can't joke about. It's a game no one can win. He's going to say what he wants, make the jokes he wants and to hell with the puritanical old maids of the PC mob. I thought it was funny stuff. Good for him.
As far as the public wanking goes, he probably should get a grip on that, so to speak.

When she was standing on that stage at the f*cking convention holding a baby that just came out of her f*cking, disgusting c*nt… her f*cking retard-making c*nt. I hate her more than anybody…

Louis CK's comedy pre-banishment was equal-opportunity transgressive: that's why he fell so hard.

Hey, you're a great crowd, the best! I wanna show you something. Something that means a lot to me. I don't want to - huh - "trigger" anyone, so, uh -- Does anyone mind if I masturbate? I'll just take it out now and you can have a look at it ...

Louis CK savaged Trump, Bush, Republicans, the Church and in particular Sarah Palin. His tweets about Palin were particularly nasty. He was always a perverted piece of shit.

If you really want a flavor of his perversity listen to his bit on washing his daughters vagina.

He will never be a favorite in the red states. He is your garden variety liberal phony who got turned on by the social justice warriors as is happening with Kevin Hart and now Chris Rock.

This douche is Fatty Arbuckle and he doesn’t even know it.

He's finally accepted as right wing now, by the left, since he's a rapist, or an imaginary rapist.

He kinda fucked himself.

There is a lot more blue ocean space in making fun of the PC new religion away from the red ocean of Trump derangement.

Liberals love to anoint absolute moral authority on chosen people like Cindy Sheehan whose son was killed in Iraq, the muslim immigration attorney who denounced Trumo at the Dem convention and whose Army Captain son was killed in Afghan, and most recently the far left Parkland kids and the two illegal immigrant kids who just died.

Rosalyn C. said...

If those kids at Parkland HS had studied any history they would be grieving the human condition and our foibles and not wailing about themselves and their seventeen classmates in front of massive audiences. If they had any sense of reality those students wouldn't be going to Congress to try to indoctrinate adults to believe that getting rid of guns is the solution to everything.

I liked what Ann said about humor being a release for anxiety and repression, I'd add it's also a response when justice is not available. I saw a tweet by Judd Apatow to Louis CK where Apatow linked to a speech by Emma Gonzolez, Parkland survivor, and asked how could anyone find anything funny about Parkland after her speech? Then I looked at some standup by Apatow to see what he finds funny. He was mostly mocking Bill Cosby, mocking Jews, mocking female beauty and his lack of attractiveness, his daughter's nerdy date who he identifed with. Those are acceptable topics for him. I didn't find him funny but the audience laughed. This was a Jimmy Kimmel audience. I don't think they can claim superiority based on what they find funny.
