But the media consistently ignores the first lady's work on behalf of the people of this country, and children in particular, in favor of more trivial matters. And my defense, here, of the first lady will certainly draw criticism and be framed as another assault on the press, but this predictable reaction won't make my observations any less true."

Compare and contrast coverage of Melania (ignored) and Laura Bush (insulted and condescended to) with that of Michelle Obama and Hillary.
It's not news nor is it new. It's how they cover (or refuse to cover) anyone on the left vs right. As Treacher says: Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn't know because they might reflect badly on Democrats.
The ridiculous thing is that they are always acting frustrated and hurt when people question their ability as objective journalists. It's gotten so I chuckle when I hear someone claiming to be a journalist. It's not exactly a highly regarded profession any longer.

Melania shows she's a Trump by how CNN does to her what it does to her husband - CNN misrepresents what she says and makes (unclear how they reached them) assumptions about what it means. There's a lot of mind reading involved.

Who has been the most qualified First lady of my historical reference? I think without question it was Nancy Reagan. The gravitas is unequaled. I can think of no other qualification. President Trump's wife comes in second.
